"I got these today, they are made well, but not perfect. It can be a huge pain to insert these mags because they are wider than the steel mags and the tab that hooks into the mag release lever is too wide. If you file it down close to what a steel mag would be, it would go into the mag well easily. Though questionably it might weaken the tab so it would break easier. These are by far better than the promag ones, but if you don't mind doing some filing, then these are for you. I just used my pocket knife to shave the sides of the tab down. Time wasted, yes. Money wasted. No."

"If you own an AK series rifle these magazines work great with minimum typical AK finagling. I've noticed that the price has come down significantly on tapco mags so the price point can't be beat. I have about a dozen of these mags and aside from having to work them into the mag well and break them in.. I've never had to file or dremel on any of mine."

"The magazines are very durable and made excellent from that stand point, my only complaint is its very difficult to load into the magazine well, and I have 1-2 AK's that I was afraid of damaging the magazine well or break the magazine if I pushed much harder. The AKs that I could get it to fit into by pushing about 3-5 times harder than a normal one, would have problems feeding or jamming every 4-6 rounds. I have never had any problems from any of my AK's and I have tried several different of the Tapco and all 5 I bought had the same problem. I've never seen an AK not feed or jam I would spend a little more for a magazine that works, stick to Magpul or metal ones and I have some other type of polymers that never have given me problems in the many AK's I have"

"After a year of use, I can say that the Tapco mags work quite well in my Wasr 10/63. They feed great, lock in easily, and have no wobble. I dropped a few of them, and used another as a hammer to loosen a component on my ak, and afterwards they fed just fine. I can say that they are very sturdy and I recommend them as cost effective alternative to used surplus steel mags."
