"Very nice easy to use and seems very sturdy."
"This item is a uni-tasker (used for one purpose) which I am always hesitant on buying. I was wrong, this item was worth the money. It takes just seconds to take off the hand rails on AR style rifles. Its heavy duty and is simple to use."
"this thing is heavy duty. the rubber paint is a little to thick at the hook but it will never scratch your gun. to do any real work of to trick out your AR this is a must and the metal is why better then the plastic"

"I wish I had had one of these while I was in the Army. I will agree that the rubber coating is a little thick, mine slipped off twice but still made my handguard install very quick. My wife did not have to sit here and listen to me cuss and carry on. well worth the money. No marring or any marks at all on my new AR, job well done. This tool is a \"Gotta Have Tool\""
"It dosen't fit to well on the mag well and It bends too much but It is well made and gets the job done If you get It set right."
"Just as the other reviewer said wish I had one when I was in the Army, especially with the old M16A1's. This tool is a \"must have\", no more cussing, torn up hands. And after reading some of the other reviews, can tell that the tool is smarter then the user, no offense..."
"well, after months of strggling to get the handgaurd (its like a 2 men job. i finaly decided to but a tool to remove it. this is a must have like everyone befor me said. i dont know why i waited this long to get one. if you have an m4 style gun this is a must have. will never scratch your gun and grips very well. it gets the job done in no time."
"Bought my first AR (DPMS) and immediately wanted to put acc. railson hand guard. This tool makes it so simple, a child could do it!!Thanks CTD!!!!"
"I bought this about 9 days ago, it seems to be well made. I only gave this four stars because I'm waiting to test it out. I'll include my full review when I buy the tacticool forearm rail."
– Chase From Oregon
"The one I received would not fit into the mag well of any of my ARs whatsoever. I had to shave some of the rubber off to get it to fit in. Very sturdy though."
"Great tool. made installation of my Daniel Defense Omega Rail a breeze."
"A must for every AR owner!!!!! Always fast shipping!!!!!"
"I purchased one because I got tired of using my hands to work the delta assembly. When it arrived I kicked myself, I could have easily welded up a unit exactly like this one. No worries, serves it purpose, however the rubber has worn off exposing the metal."
"Bought this with forearm attachments and glad did. It made the job done under a minute. Must have tool."
"Best money you could spend if you plan on doing light mods to your AR.Makes forearm removal and install a breeze."
– CRUE CAB
"Nice tool to have when changing the forearm by yourself, only down side if there is any was that the shipping cost for this item alone was about a dollar less than the tool itself. But over all, it work as advertised and it save you time and pain."
"This is a great tool to have, yeah the rubber is just a touch thick which in my case wanted to grab the lower half of the handguard, but all in all, still much better than trying to compress the delta ring by hand. I gave it 4 cause the shipping is almost as much as the tool, but hey...sue me."

"I complained too soon and for that I apologize. Got my parts today and they fit perfect. The handguard tool worked perfect. The next time I order and I'm sure I will, I'll go ahead and pay the extra for the faster delivery. Again, I want to apologize for my first review."
"I had to wait a little while to use this on my AR, and now it makes removing the handguards a snap! This is a tool any serious AR owner should have in their tool box. I really like mine."
"I wanted to remove my handguard & clean/lube the exterior barrel after I got caught in a summer down pour. It was no problem getting them off, but back on was another story. We tried with 4 hands & fought it for 10 minutes then gave up! I ordered this handguard removal tool & I estimate in took about 20 seconds to put them back on myself. Don't know why I didn't order one years ago! If you have an AR, then make it part of cleaning kit,you won't be sorry you ordered one. It deserves more than 5 bullets."

"Fairly intuitive to use, but the coating tore off almost immediately causing slight cosmetic damage to my AR's Delta-Ring. It is also too flexible thus making it hard to maintain constant traction while you remove and replace your handguard. Though the tool does make it easier to replace your handguard than using other methods, I would opt for a better quality version of this tool."
"Bought this to replace the factory plastic handguard with quad rails for my AR-15s. First use, the plastic coating came off and marred my delta ring. Also, you cannot get a good grip on this useless tool. I bought a more expensive tool for the rest of my ARs which did not damage them and worked like a champ. Do not buy!"
"I bought this to take off my factory foregrip and didn't even get the grip off and it scratched my gun, the rubber coating came off. It really hacked me off. I ended up just using my hand to push it down. Don't buy this hunk of crap."
"Great product and so easy to use. It makes taking off the handguards no sweat. If you can't use this then you have no reason working on, or for a matter of fact, owing an AR. Thanks CTD for great service and great products."
"I have only one AR rifle and do not have to remove handguards frequently so I did not want to spend a great deal for this tool. I read the negative reviews and ordered the tool anyway. When I received the tool, before using it, I wrapped the portion that has contact with the Delta ring with duct tape and only then proceeded to remove the handguards. The combination of the vinyl coating and the duct tape successfully protected my rifle from scratches and I am happy with the function of this tool."
"This thing is not worth the money or time. It will damage your weapon!"
– Colonel Hawk
"I wrapped it with tape as others mentioned before using it. I had no issues and the tool did the job. If you have issues with wrapping your tools with tape, industrial grade of shrink tube would likely work very well and the appearance would be as thought he tool was built with it."
"I wish I had read some of the reviews before using this tool. The tool is very wide for the delta ring and you have to really squeeze the ends to get it to work. You probably need 2 people to remove the grips as this tool kept slipping down when I tried to remove the grips and still hold the delta ring back. I ended up with a small scratch on the delta ring and the plastic coating worn off this tool. I wish I had wrapped it in tape. I think the tool mainly loosened up the delta ring so I could hold it back by hand. I also tried it on my old AR15 SP1 with straight delta ring. It worked a little better on it, but still ended up pulling the ring back by hand after loosening it up with this tool. Again, two people would make it easier to remove the handguards."
"This gets two bullets only because it did manage to remove the hand guard from my bushmaster. The plastic tore off the first use and scratched my delta ring. I would recomend the use of a rag while useing this. The metal is not very strong either. It bent pretty substantially when I used it, to the point I had to unbend it to remove it from the rifle. I think I'll spend the money on a better model next time."
"It will work but i would recomend using a towel so you don't scratch your gun. I will be buying the other tool next time. I would not have bought this if i knew what i know now."
– gun rights supporter
"This tool is worthless, you have to use two hands to bend the prongs past touching and cross them to make it tight enough to compress the delta ring, then the vinyl coating will come off and scratch the delta ring. Needs a redesign to make it narrower from the start for one hand operation leaving the other hand free to remove/install the handguard."
"I can't imagine taking my forend off without it! What a great idea! Works just like advertised."
"This thing is worth it's weight in gold. Don't try to remove the handguard with this great tool."
"Works, but doesn't fit as well as it should.. coating comes off quick, scratches rifle,, as recommended, use a towel.. would recommend a better made model.."
"DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TOOL!!!!! It will scratch your weapon more than likely during the first use. It's a pain because you have to squeeze the prongs together just to fit to the Delta Ring and the tool will not grip well...If you do buy it, use a rag or something the first time to save your rifle from scratches!"
"This tool is a POS. Covering came off just attempting to apply pressure. If you have duct tape that would solve the issue, but get something with better quality."
"IF you buy this tool I highly recommend you also either wrap the tool in electrical tape or have what you need to touch up the delta ring as the vinyl coating comes off extremely easy. I had to bend my tool to make it tight enough to not slip and had to use the tape to prevent the vinyl from peeling and scratching my delta ring again."
"The plastic coating on it stripped right off when I tried to remove my hand guards. It wouldn't grip hard enough to pull the ring all the way down and I ended up bending it before I got them off. Don't hold out when buying one of these tools. Use your money for a higher quality item and you'll be happer than I am right now."
– California Kid
"Cheap price, cheap tool. Plastic tore on first use, metal so springy I had to cross the arms like a pretzel to almost get enough pressure to keep them from slipping. Ended up using the handle of my channel-locks."
"Even after reading the reviews I decided to try it anyways. Waste of money.Don't use this tool if you have a safe queen you are trying to tact out. The cheap coating comes off extremely easy, scratching the delta ring. Like others have said, you have to bend it to get it to work right and the cheap metal under the rubber coating is rusty, or was rusty before they coated it.Save your money and buy a better quality tool.At least CTD sent the crappy tool quickly."
"Product was a waste of money. Also scratched my delta ring, I was very careful and deliberate, not operator error. Wrap the thing in electrical tape and try not to bend it. buy a better tool."
"As others have said, this thing was worthless. The coating came right off and scratched my delta ring. I wound up just having my wife help me get my hand guards off. Not worth the money."
"Cheaply made, coating came off the first time and scratched my delta ring. Gave it 1 bullet because I couldn't go any lower."
"Junk Product! I believe I had this tool out of the box for less than 2 minutes before I called CTD for a return. The arms are too long and way too flimsy to apply even pressure to the delta ring. When I did get a tight enough grip on the D ring, the ends of the arms of the tool were bent over each other so much it was an awkward hold in my hand. Also, like the reviewer before me, the cheap plastic coating came off and scratched my AR! Save your time and money and invest in a different brand."
"It takes a while to figure out and get it to work. All reviews are true but I guess that's what we get for being lazy."

"Bought and used this on my S&W M&P-15 to attach and new rail system. It worked OK for the most part, but it only gets three bullets from me because, as you apply pressure to the tool, it starts to rip the rubber coating on the tool and scratch the Delta ring. I had to wrap duct tape around it to keep it from ripping more and scratching my weapon. Tool worked, but this product needs better coating that doesn't rip so easily."
"I've used this tool to install multiple handguards on different AR-15s. My advise: the rubber coating is cheap. It will be cut thru the first time the tool is used. Wrap the contact points with duct or gorilla tape to avoid scratching them high dollar guns."
"As soon as I saw this tool I knew it was gonna be a disapointment and I was right. First time I used it the thin plastic coating shredded and scuffed up my delta ring (nothing serious, but still), like others I add several wraps of electrical tape (any heavy duty tape will work) to the contact points. Works OK but I'll probably replace it with the ProMag."
"Steel is too \"bendy\" and where the tool contacts the ring, it wears the protective coating right off. If you are only going to need it to use on one or two guns occasionally, you can get the job done. For a couple of bucks more, get something else which lasts and can be relied upon."
"Tool gets the job done, but is almost a \"throw away\" tool. I only needed it this one time (I hope), and it did work. But, as with the other reviewers, the same complaints: \"Metal bends too much\" and \"The coating shreds the first time I used it.\" I did as many have done before and used some heavy duty tape in the contact areas and that seemed to help, but if I were an armorer, I would pass this one by for one of better quality."
"It may be cheap in price, but it is cheap in quality as well. Not well designed to do what it's supposed to do. I bought one to install a quad rail on my S&W MP15. It is way to wide to even work. Bent it in a little to make contact. When you pull down, it won't stay where it needs to be and just slips off. I ended up just resting the stock against my leg and pulled it down by hand and installed the new quad rail in about a minute. The tool looks like a pretzel now and didn't do the job."
– Red Vette
"So to start with, I had to bend this inward a bit just for it to work right when it got to me. It was way to wide up near the top of the tool such that, when the hook portion was inserted into the magwell, even squeezing on the tool wouldn't grip the delta ring enough to work right. After I put pressure on all parts of the top of this tool and bending it tighter, it worked properly. The other issue I have is the rubber coating that's used isn't very tough and is already splitting/torn from the first use. It's working, but I would have rather bought a different one, possibly."
"This is not a very good product. It is too wide, made from too small of a stock. The rubber coating peeled off on the first use. A waste of money. They used to sell a much better item but don't seem to have any longer."
"Used one time, rubber coating came off and scratched my ar-15. It was actually easier to use my hand."
