"I use these to fill the water tank on my boat when the hoses are off.I ordered four, got two kinds of bags. If you look closely at the product image, there's a cone-shaped indentation leading up to the lid. This is on the two newer ones, the older looking two are the same as the rest of the bag in that area.So the cone-shaped molding in the new ones is supposed to make them work better, i guess, which isn't the case. They're less flexible, so harder to fill and empty in tight spaces. Not that they're unsuited for my purpose, I may buy more. They look tough, they definitely mark gelcoat, five might make a nice waterbed for a goof. If I had known about these I'd have never have wasted money on freeweights."

"Mine came wrapped in plastic, however the actual bag was covered in probably 10+ years of dirt and dust. The inside was questionable so I used bleach water and then some Camelback cleaning tablets. Even still, water stored in it will have a rubbery smell to it. I keep mine for emergencies, and since it rolls up and stores compactly, it'll do. I have to wonder if the collapsable 5 gal. jug would have been a better option, though."

"My Swiss 5 gal water bag came today, it is in perfect shape and built like a tank!"

"These bags are a lot bigger than I thought they would be. I initally bought them for backpacking, but I think they might be too heavy for that. The are going in my emergency preparredness kit. Very well constructed."

"Upon receipt, the outer bag, handles and spigot are in good condition. However, there is a built-in screen/filter just inside the spigot. On the one I was sent, this filter is split in two due to a broken seam. In addition, the filter is filled with sediment which may affect water flow, both into and out of the bag. If not for the broken seam, I don't think any water would pass through the filter at all."

"I bought three (3) of these to use/store water on my sailboat. They arrived looking/seeming to be new. Although a slight smell, and rubber taste these work fine for my purpose. Easy to carry/store H2O for a week or more on the boat. Nice to have clean H2O and know from where it came."

"Mine showed up today and look great. Can not wait to go use them on my next camping trip. Need to order some more for an emergency kit as well. Well worth the money for them."

"This is honestly one of the best water vessels I have bought. I am a scout master so I know how essential fresh water can be at just about any time. This has been the case for centuries. I have even got one on the back of my fourwheeler for a soft seat or if the need arises, just fresh water. Durable, many uses also that's hard to beat. 100% must have."

"These water bags have been a great addition to my camping gear I poured a little white vinegar and used a camel back brush to clean the screens up and have had no issue with filling very durable and if frozen you can have cool water for most of the weekend if kept out of sun..as a survival storage cache very good. I am looking for a cap instead of the the spigot if anyone has a line on that."

"This is just what you think it is, a heavy duty water storage bag. Mine was brand new and didn't stink or anything. Great for camping or for a BOB."

"Excellent item. I bought one to test it out. Just as advertised and it was in great condition. Mine also has POTABLE WATER ONLY printed on it in Spanish, French, and German. Nice bag for BOV or camp shower. Very sturdy and a good value for this price. I plan to order more later. Hope they last!"

"Ok so another Kick butt product from CTD. Obviously in new condition. Heavy duty rubber Looks like it could be thrown into a cage of raging apes and still serve ya water at the end of the abuse. Just built like a tank. Money well spent. Hope these are availible for a while. I want a couple more."

"Got two that have been tested on multiple trips. No leaks. Much more durable than the standard 5 Gal. collapsible container. With or without an added piece of hose to the spout it doubles as a great solar shower. Weight difference should not be an issue since it's not meant to be carried on your back anyway."

"Incredible construction when it comes to durability. A 'Must Buy', especially at the price!"

"Gonna get a bunch more of these while they last. These are where it's at in camp water storage. Totally tough."

"I could not get rid of the Rubber smell. Very Sturdy, good for emergency. I would have gave better rating, but the rubber smell did not go away even after bleach cleaning."

"Bought one a little more than a month ago. Works great. I agree that its much better than the plastic collapsable units. Didn't take long to get used to the rubber taste but that can be remedied with a charcoal filter (if you wish). Mine came wrapped in a clear plastic and was in mint condition. The handle straps are great and so far the rubber material has taken some pretty good use without much damage. I like the fact that you can tie these down or hang them up. the spout is also a big advantage. I'm buying another one before they disappear. This is a great value for your money whether you are a camper, boater, prepper, or want to store some water in your vehicle."

"In my previous review I said that I would return and buy another one...that's exactly what I did. I found some additional uses and advantages for this water carrier. As in my previous post my second order also arrived in great condition. I gave this one 5 bullets because of the terrific price and advantages. The only downside I can find is you can't sit them up like a hard plastic water can. However, there are plenty of ways you can put this to use that you cannot do with plastic cans."

"Ordered 6 of these and the shipping was very fast as usual with CTD. The water bags are in great condition and individually packed. No problem with rubber odor. The carrying handles are very convenient and make the bags easy to move. Good value for an emergency water storage solution."

"Have not had water in the bag yet, but wanted to comment on what I have seen so far. The rubber is heavy duty and appears to be very durable. Handles are 1/4\" rope, doubled up and run through a piece of clear rubber tubing to make it easy to carry. There are handles at each end. The spigot is heavy plastic and the button to release the water is spring loaded and solid. There is a cord to keep the spigot attached to the bag when you are filling it. There is a rubber smell but doesn't seem too heavy and I am sure will lessen greatly after 2-4 washings. All in all I think without a doubt I made a good choice at a great price."

"Took this bag with me on a backpacking trip to Big Bend National Park in southwest Texas. We needed a lot of water and this fit the bill. Very solid construction. We did not have to worry about the water bag breaking in the pack. However, when we would fill up water bottles with the water in the bag, we noticed some sort of green sediment that would come out. Before the trip, I had rinsed the bag out a couple of times so I know it was relatively clean. To get rid of the green stuff, we \"filtered\" the water coming out of the spigot with an Under Armor type material. Does anyone know what this green sediment is? Research on the internet leads me to believe that it is mold."

"I am very pleased with this product. It looks like it is brand new. Need to wash it out though. I ordered a couple of days ago with 3-5 day shipping, but it got here in two days."

"These are heavy duty water containers. Appear to be nearly bullet-proof. Moderate \"rubber\" smell because, well, they are heavily rubberized. Need to be washed/rinsed inside before use, but no worse than my personal hydration bags. Excellent items for water transport/temp storage. Did I mention it is built tough as a tank?"

"Purchased two of these for use as solar showers at the cabin. They are super heavy weight rubber- if you can burst one, you ran it over with a truck! They looked as though they were new with minor shelf marks. These should last for many many years of heavy use."

"I purchased two of these high quality Swiss military surplus water bags. Yes they were used and needed some cleaning. My primary purpose was to use them for storing an emergency supply of water, but they are clearly marked in German on the bags that they are not for Drinking water. Kept them anyway because they are good for other purpose and they could be chemically treated in an emergency, but I still need a long term storage solution for emergency drinking water. Gallon water jugs is what I use now, but their shelf life Is limited also."

"I got 2 of these things a couple of years ago, cleaned them, folded them, and stuck them on a shelf. Our water lines burst this week and we had no water. I grabbed my water bags, filled them up across town, and was back in business. With the exception of the spigot, they fold flat and take up almost no room. Quality is excellent."

"A heavy duty bag to put into my camping/go-bag. Should last forever. I think better than the box store cheap plastic. Heavy rubber, Love the Swiss!"
