"This feild manual is one of the best ever published. It was recommended by the survival school instructors i went to. If you want to know how to do it, this is the manual."

"Provides very handy tips on surviving on nothing. How to find water, food, navigate by stars, dangers to watch out for, etc. It is decently laid out and contains many pictures to assist the learning process. I give four bullets because in my opinion the guide is not laid out in a way that is easily accessible in an emergency. Like if you want to find certain information again, you better write down the page number yourself."

"I just got this today, skimed through it a little bit and notice how it can be very specific with Special areas in it's last chapter. Obviously you start of basic then advance, but it will help you alot if you need to ever survive. This Handbook is Perfect price for the money and Perfect reading material for anybody who is very into the outdoors, and likes life in nature."

"Great Book, best one on here. I live In Key West, FL where knowing how to get water and to survive in a boat is a must. Hurricanes hit here every year, so knowing have to survive a when something happens or when your cut off from fresh food and water is the key. Very satisfied with this manual, easy to understand and remember."

"This little book may be antiquated by the date, but there is a lot of information still relevent and useful to a 2010 household in many ways. 1. Hiking, we've heard of those who have gotten off their trail and became lost; some to survive, some to not. 2. Hunting in unfamiliar terrain/country and bad weather sets in is not foreign to some of us. 3. Preparing for any eventuality, God forbid, where the peace of our homes may be violated by anyone of questionable character and intentions.Improvise, adapt, overcome (Gunny Highway, \"Heartbreak Ridge\") are watch words to live by and this book helps prepare anyone for that unknown, to some degree."

"I was somewhat disappointed that very little of the booklet was relevant to the US or North America. If you're likely to find yourself lost in North Africa sometime soon, it might come in handy. If you live in the US, the booklet seems to assume you already know everything you need to know about local flora and fauna."

"I found this manual to be chock full of excellent and timeless advice. Easily worth the cheap price in entertainment value alone."

"I have one of these from years ago and am setting up a large family with Bug out Bags and camping supplies. Anyway, this army survival book, though dated, still has plenty to offer a novice in survival and wilderness skills. As a result, I have just bought several and putting them into a sealable bag which will go into each person's pack."
