Hunters use blue light filters to track wounded game at night. Blood stands out more distinctly against foilage when viewed under blue light. It will also make hydraulic fluid appear to be a deep black. This filter is also useful for close range non-tactical applications such as map reading because it decreases the intensity of the beam.
The hinged filter lid flips open to allow white light output, thoroughly sealing off white light when closed. Locks hold the filter lid in open or closed position even under weapon recoil. Integral attachment clamp features self-locking tightening screw; 1/16" hex (Allen) wrench included.
