"These are always good to just have on hand as a back up. But they do not last for long term harsh use. I would suggest getting a pack of ten to have in the back ground of your gear. But invest in a better more advanced loader. The military uses these because they are cheap and work for the short term."

"The pack of guides I received were all in new condition. No rust or corrosion of any kind and they all fit nice and snug on the magazines. Just remember, this is a military product, and although it may not be the best method, it does effectively perform what it's supposed to do. These will also work on Magpul P-Mags."

"for ten bucks you get a product that does what it is supposed to do. I have put over 1000 rounds worth of stripper clips through one and it still works with no problems. why spend more for an elaborate complicated system. I just wish it would work for my ak47!"

"I ordered a package of 10 guides and a package of 100 stripper clips. They were new and worked great, no problems. They don't work on my Mini-14 Mags but are great on my AR 15mags. I would recommend them."

"These work great on my AR mags. Don't work with the Mini-14 mags. I didn't buy it for them though. They have lasted though ten mag reloads and no problems."

"I cannot believe that hand-loading a magazine with 30 rounds was how I used to do it. The guides go on and come off stiffly, but I attribute that to the need for break-in. Once the guide is in place, loading from clips is extremely fast. Range time is now usefully employed in destroying insurgent pumpkins and steel, instead of abusing thumbs."

"It's a piece of metal. Expect them to get sloppy after several uses. I pin one on every bandolier."

"While the ad says class 2, mine appeared to be brand new. I get the impression that they will last forever. In case you had any doubt, these do fine with the strippers that are sold here at CTD - and they work fine with the MagPul 'plastic' magazines."
– Steve Gregory

"Just like the ones issued in the military - good stuff. FYI do not expect these to work with the plastic Thermold stripper-clips, they will not fit."
– ClifHicks

"These do as designed. I am pretty sure mine were never issued. Now if we can only get CTD to work on their handling fee (Ahem...) overall I am very happy with the shipping, quality and price of cheaper than dirt"

"work best with steel mags but are kinda hard to get off polymer mags and tend to leave scrathces which isn't a big deal."
– AR-15

"These work great. I have 2 different brands of aluminum magazines and a plastic magazine and these work great with all 3. As stated in other reviews they do tend to scratch the magazines slightly occasionally. However, I don't see a any way they could be improved. Its an acceptable trade-off for the ease and speed in which mags can be loaded. 5 bullets."

"used these for 20 years in the military and they have always served me well, I am a heavy user of these devices and there is no better. I've tried other devices and they have always been lacking in the quality or the ease of use."

"Nice product for the price. Have used on a few different mags and I will obviously have to fiddle with them a bit to be more comfortable using them, But very well made"

"I was definitely surprised when I opened the pack and looked at them, I was expecting... well... beat-up used yaknow. All of them looked to be near new condition! throw a couple in bob, a couple in the range box, and have a few to spare!"

"These are a must have when loading your 30 rd mags. They allow the use of stripper clips which are like gold when shooting all-day at a range. I have used these since my first AR-15 was sighted in back in the 70s. Do not go to a range without this item."

"for metal mags the guide is good as is, however for plastic mags you can use a needle file to remove sharp edges making the guide slide on much smoother and minimize scatting to the plastic mag."
