Police Serrated Stainless Steel Knife -
Time and again law enforcement officers have opted for the Police Model since its debut in 1984. Spyderco packs as much blade length as possible into the handle for big cutting power in a slim profile.

The Police Model has a David Boye dent cut out of the locking lever allowing you to gorilla grip the knife without accidentally releasing the lock. The blade is hollow ground VG-10 and thick at the tip for added strength with a weight reducing swedge along the spine. All stainless, the handle is perfect for engraving or embossing. Steel clip positions the knife for tip down pocket carry.

Serrated Blade -
A serrated blade has a cutting edge that has many small points of contact with the material being cut. By having less contact area than a smooth blade, the applied force at each point of contact is relatively greater and the points of contact are at a sharper angle to the material being cut.

VG-10 Stainless Steel -
VG-10 has Carbon (C) content between 0.95-1.05, Chromium (Cr) content between 13.0-15.0, Molybdenum (Mo) content between 0.2-0.4, and contains less than 0.25 of Nickel (Ni). During forging, Mo and Cr forms hard double carbide bonds which help improve the abrasion and corrosion resistance of the steel. It has a hardness of 58-61 .

David Boye Dent -
Custom knife maker David Boye removed a small arc or dent of metal from the lock bar lever of his knives. This removed piece lessened the possibility of gripping the handle hard enough to depress the lock and accidentally unlock the blade while using the knife.

Hollow Ground -
The ground surface of the blade is concave and used to create a fine cutting edge.
