The Barnaul Machine Plant JSC is one of the leading producers of industrial goods and ammunition in Russia. The plant's history goes far in the past to the period of Alexander I. The Emperor ordered the opening of the first cartridge plants in St. Petersburg in 1869. During World War I the plant supplied the Russian Army and operated out of St. Petersburg, During World War II, the plant was relocated to Barnaul, where production of various types of cartridges began.

This high quality ammo features distinctive highly polished zinc plating on the cartridge case; hence the Silver Bear name. Silver Bear offers high quality at reasonable prices. Other manufacturers reserve the silver cases for law enforcement, safari and specialty ammo. This product uses Berdan priming for long shelf life and sure-fire ignition. Silver Bear is loaded to exacting standards

"This ammo is the same as the non-boat tail version. Have fired 500 rounds without issue. With iron sites I was hitting a 3\" group at 50 yards. If you're not into loading your own, this is a good cheap alternative!"

"Just got my 500 in today, so far I'm impressed. Have yet to really shoot at distance beyond 30 yards - just a quick function test, but this isn't half bad. Burned clean in my Stag Model 8 Piston, I'll update after I get some real range time."

"Bought 500 round bulk pack 62 gr. for my AR15. Fires clean and consistently. Currently holding 4 inch pattern at 100 yds. I'll be purchasing this ammo again."

"I have shot over 1,000 rounds of this ammo through my gas piston AR. I turn the black dot into a single hole at 50 yards and shoot 3.5 inch groups at 100 yards with an aimpoint pro, not magnification. Out of the just over 1,000 rounds I had ONE FTE. I can't say that for the bulk lake city I've shot in the past. I hate to shoot steel case ammo but it's cheaper, more accurate and cycles better than the brass alternative at this price point. If your AR is really tight you may have an issue, but it runs perfect in my gas piston build. Good luck..."

"This is a great ammo. No corrosion was noticed, after the snow got inside the open box. Shot very clean. Right on target."

"well I always used cheap russian ammo but in my qar's when dumping casings with the slide stock the gun heated up and the casings would get stuck due to the polymer melting and becoming glue-like....so I got a few cases of these to try them out as they have no polymer...they were pretty accurate out to 300 yds and I didn't try them any further so I can't say and there were no stuck casings and they fed well but I can't recall ever having so many misfires from ammo as these....and if you were in combat a misfire will make you die...and I'm talking like 5% of them misfired.... I picked them all up and reloaded the mags at the end of the box and they fired on the second try but that is unacceptable...I will be buying higher quality brass cased ammo from now on."

"I ran 210 rounds through this on new build I finished. Its a DTI upper, DI 5.56. I've been shooting silver bear through my piston upper with out issue for over a year. I put 210 rounds through the DI upper with issue. Holds a great group and confirms its great ammo (for the price). I believe any issues folks are having with this are timing issues with their guns when they run steel cases instead of brass cases."

"I own a Rock River Arms EO2 . It eats anything I feed it. If your AR has a lot of FTE or FTF you own a junk rifle. I have shot tons of brass and steel, 3 failures out of 1500 rounds total, all 3 were Tula and got stuck in the chamber. Silver Bear is pretty accurate and no failures.I'd buy it again for screwing around. The price is right. m193 for when SHTF!"

"Plain and simple, this ammo works great. Shot 200 rounds at various ranges, up to 200 yards, with consistent accuracy and no problems. I'll be ordering more."

"I bought the 500 rd box of this ammo and am very satisfied. I used it in my AK with a 1-7 twist barrel and my M4 and was surprised. The AK shot a 2 1/2 in group at 100 yds and the tricked out M4 shot a 1.5 in group. I went thru the entire box with no problems at all. Will buy more. Great stuff."

"I ordered 500 rounds of this ammunition. It arrived in a timely manner. I ran 300 rounds through my M4 carbine. It ran this ammunition flawlessly and with absolutely no hiccups along the way. Good accuracy out to 250 yards. Good value and a great price! I will definitely be ordering more of this!"

"I have bought plenty of brass cased ammo and I dont think I can reload as cheap as I can buy this ammo. It works extremely well and have had no issues at all. The 62 gr packs a wallop and the hollow point does what it is supposed to do, obliterate small game and varmits like skunks, ferrel cats, mean wild dogs, hogs, badgers, coyotes, foxes, jack rabbits, all have been on the receiving end of this ammo with sad results for them. "Ive put over 1000 rds down range with semi auto and full auto and bumpstock never had a jam or misfire. There Tulammo counterpart i can not say the same for. I will continue to put these down range as they shoot well, accuracy is dependable and they are rather inexpensive"
