"All around good mag release, easy to install, works great. It slides back toward the trigger instead of pivoting which is different, but nice. Only bad thing is that its plastic."

"I received this product today and spent less than 5 minutes to install it on my old carbine. It was very easy to follow the installation instruction. In my opinion, this mag release is even easier to use than the new Ruger factory mag release on my brand new Tactical model. The fact that it is plastic should not be a concern. This product is very well made. Even the new Ruger mag release is made of plastic. I strongly recommend this product, do not waste your money on higher price alternatives; you will not regret buying this mag release for your 10/22."

"This might be the cheapest so far, but has held up just fine. The best thing about this is that the release pulls toward the trigger, so you don't have to adjust your hands to much to remove the mag. Yes it is plastic, but so is the stock, grips, etc. Good luck breaking this and even if you could, you should be happy you can get another one so cheap!"

"Just replaced the the button style release with this one. What a difference! Very easy install. Just remove barrel band, remove lock down screw on bottom of forend, remove stock, push out the pin that holds old mag release, depress the plunger and remove the old one, install this one, replace pin, replace stock and barrel band and done. Takes about 5 mins. Pulls towards trigger guard which is nice. Mags fall right out into your hand. This is a vast improvement over the old one. Very nice product."

"Just got this yesterday, it was easy to install and works good, definitely better than the stock mag release on the rifle."

"Way better than the stock one simply because it pulls rearward. Super easy 2 install."

"This is an excellent product and I can't believe that it is this cheap! Do yourself a favor and buy this one! You might want to consider getting a bolt release as well (where you just pull the bolt back to release it), as this product does make it just a tad bit more difficult to release the bolt but it is still well worth it to apply this product, even without the after market bolt release installed. As other have stated, it pulls straight back just like the trigger, which I like. Get one, it's worth it!"

"This makes releasing the mag much easier and faster,I wonder why ruger made them push in the first place."

"Works much better than the stock push-in button release. Very pleased with it. Although, it's ridiculous that shipping is over $6 for a piece of plastic that's only $5..."

"This item is cheap and it works just as advertised. Installation was a breeze, only took me about 30 seconds. However, this is NOT lefty-friendly, as the release is positioned to the right. I'm not a lefty so it isn't a problem for me but southpaws be warned."

"The product I received was a \"Champion\" brand. Not sure if the name changed or what..? It appears to be the same as the pic. Anywho, this thing was really tight once I got the pin in. So much so that it wouldn't budge. Also, the pin was very hard to replace. Something was definitely in a bind. So with a few test fittings, I sanded the bottom surface of the mag release until it fit properly and the pin slid in easily. Then a quick polish and some lube to smooth it up. Works like a charm."
