"I purchased this scope from another site last year. I have it mounted on a Alexander Arms .50 Beowulf. Firing a 400gr sp bullet loaded with 47gr of powder produces a significant amount of recoil and yet this scope is able to hold up to the punishment. It was easy to zero and has continued to hold a zero. I have seen others give negative reviews because of a bad experience, however, they always say there was no hassle with the return(whether through CTD or the factory). I have purchased many high priced, name brand, products that had to be replaced do to factory defects. It is easy to say you get what you pay for, but sometimes you pay too much for what you get. I like this scope enough that my next rifle is going to carry the NC Star 6-24X50."

"Simply put, these new Mark III rifle scopes are amazing! The quaility is first rate, they HOLD ZERO and are simple and easy to set up and use. No Micky Mouse BS with these optics! I have a Mosin Nagant M-38 Carbine chambered for the 7.62x54R cartridge. She's my \"boom-stick\" I have set up for large game out here in Arizona. Simply put the M-38's are well known as \"optics killer's\" both here at home and in Russia. Unlike the M91/30, the M-38 Carbine is a hellish rifle, loaded with enough kick, recoil, and shock to rattle your teeth! Not to mention the huge fireball you get from the muzzle blast! Long story short...I was a hair away from giving up on my rifle after destroying three scopes attempting to sight in. My hunting buddy let me try one of his NcStar Mark III 2.5-10x40 scopes. I could not belive it! It held zero and then some! I now have my own and was able to take my first bear with a Mosin Nagant M-38 Carbine!Plain and simple, if you are looking for a good scope that will get THE JOB DONE, will go to hell and back, and be ready for more, and will not break the bank, GO NCSTAR MARK III !!!!I took a chance on them with a rifle that was about to give up on, and NcStar turned it around for me.Thank you NcStar and as always, thank you CTD for carrying these wonderful, outstanding scopes!SkokauckasMesa, AZ"

"I do not recommend this for any weapon above 5.56 yes it is easy to zero, and easy to use but shock proof not exactly after receiving my Mark 3 2.5-10x40 I mounted it to my R700 .308 and hit the range zeroed it at 100 not a problem. Had a good day of shooting but after a few trips to the range I started to notice that my zero was slipping during firing I reset and fired then I noticed my windage turret would auto rotate due to the shock about .5 MOA every 10 rounds and after researching the products and other review I found that this is not a uncommon issue with this sires of scopes one review said the turret popped off all together and that is with the adjustment screw secured. But the glass and clarity was not bad this product is not without its good points"
