"I nearly balked at buying this non reviewed item to mount on my brand new M1A Socom 16 rifle, I was told by everyone to buy the one made by Springfield, which runs like $250 to $300...But I said, I'll try it, if it looks like junk or doesn't work, I'll just send it back...Well, let me tell you, This scope mount is AWESOME, it fits my rifle just as if Springfield made it, but S&K did, and they did a fine job...the parkerizing goes perfectly with my tactical rifle and my Leupold scope mounted on this great mount. And doesn't move while shooting stys firm and in place, just like the factory one.M1A owners, don't look any further for a scope mount, get this S&K one it's perfect!!! Solidly made and you'll be quite happy."

"This is my first review. I bought the scope mount for my new Socom 16. The mount attached easily enough but after only a few days the front of the scope moved up and down with only a little effort. It doesn't stay put no matter how tight you get the single screw. If you are going to spend the money for this one I strongly recommend you go ahead and spend the extra and get the Springfield third generation mount 27459."

"This mount comes with instuctions that state, \"if the bolt threads are tight in receiver, use hex key in slot to tighten.\" What the instructions don't tell you is how to get said 12 cent bolt out when it snaps off in the receiver of your brand new M1A National Match! I am beyond pissed. Now I know why this is the cheapest mount on the market for M14/M1A. Oh, and the mount comes in two halfs and the finish is different on both halfs, so it looks as well as it performs. Totally unsatisfactory!"
