"As a SF light weapons guy I should have known better, but had a Mosin Nagant I wanted to reach out with. This mount isn't stable, tried over and over to zero with it. However, ended up throwing bullets all over the target no matter how many adjustments I made. Hit all around the bullseye, adjusted scope, rinsed and repeated. Never managed to hit the bullseye! Took off the scope and mount, replaced the rear iron sight and hit 1 inch groups in the bullseye at 100 meters. Nice idea with poor design, a couple ideas present themselves for making it work better as it is.....worthless."

"Bought this mount and it would not install solidly on my 91/30. Part is useless to me and I'll be headed to the gunsmith to have a mount professionally installed."

"I am very pleased with this S&K mount after firing 50 rounds and the scope is just as solid and dead-on at 100yds. I had previously tried a $12 mount that appeared similar in construction and mounting, and it was a total waste of money, coming loose after the first round or two, no matter how tight I mounted it. I believe the key to this mount is the collet that attaches inside the leaf spring groove. I ran this screw and the two front screws down tight and then tightened the two setscrews last. The scope zeroed easily and has maintained zero after 50 rounds. I would definitely recommend this mount."

"Bought this to attempt to drop a scope on my 91/30 or 44 neither worked. This paperweight would never get tight enough to zero properly and shifted every other round even after wrenching the screws down so tight i broke one at the range. Had to take a dremel to the mount to get it off. If you want a scope on a Nagant either have the receiver drilled and tpaped for a good mount or better yet just but a PU 91/30 they are worth every penny."
