Insignia Edition Whittler Folding Knife -
The Remington Sportsman Knife Series has gained a wide acceptance among the nation's outdoorsmen by providing fully functional, hunter friendly designs at a very affordable price. New for 2008, The Sportsman Insignia Edition Series is comprised of both fixed blade and folding models. These handsome hunting knives feature 440C stainless steel blades and handsome Burl wood or black laminate handles. For authenticity, each knife within the Insignia Series features the Sportsman Series Medallion inlayed within the handle. All Insignia Edition knives are supplied with matching black leather sheaths.
Clip Blade -
The clip blade is a classic shape and very practical. Its name describes a shape that seems to have a portion of the spine of the blade clipped off. This brings the blade point lower for extra control and enhances the sharpness of the tip. It provides ample "belly" in the blade for slicing or skinning and a good tip for inserting in and under things that need to be cut. You will often find a false edge with the clip point.
Pen Blade -
A pen blade is a shape of blade similar to a spear point, but not so pronounced, both sides tapering suddenly towards a point. Pen blades were traditionally used for pen knives, the blade being used for sharpening quill pens.
