"Unless you like having 12 Ga Recoil sent straight into your shoulder via a hard nylon buttstock that's 1x4 3/4\", then this is not for you. Very clear instructions on installation, but you will need a 3/32 and 3/16\" hex bit to install the buttstock. I used a pair of needle nose pliers spread open to turn the fore-end retaining nut on my 870. It looks nice installed on the shotgun, but unless you can find a decent recoil pad to place on the buttstock, it's gonna bite. Unless you're into pain. By all means. It could use a little sanding along the seam lines, I used a knife and scraped them smooth. The pictures make it look like there's a recoil pad, but that's the way they formed the nylon."

"Works great mounted it on a Remington 870 adds a goo tactical function to the gun. Yet i would suggest a recoil pad after about 100 rounds your shoulder begins to fell it."

"fits great, i really love the looks and tactical advantages. had it installed in under 10minutes, i also got the 18.5 inch barrel, now with the stock folded the overall length of the gun is the same as the the barrel alone that came on my 870 express magnum."

"Worked through the instructions to put the fore end on and found that there isn't enough clearance between the barrel and fore end -- it gets stuck trying to cycle the action. Can't use it -- have to send it back. Way disappointed."

"First, be carefull not to overtighten the lock screw for the stock release button! Its a metal screw in a plastic hole with a plastic pin. I stripped it out on the first attempt. I had to drill a hole in the pin for the lock screw to screw into.the wrost part is, The stock is too long! It's several inches longer than my factory original, and when folded I have to grip the very end of the pump while working the action, otherwise my fingertips would get smashed by the stock!Ff it was 2-4 inches shorter it'd be no problem! heaven forbid if you increase the lenght by installing a rubber butt on the thing!in short it's way too long, the plastic on metal parts have a tendency to strip, it has no rubber butt, and it's cheap."

"This stock increases the length of pull over a standard stock so it may not fit smaller people, it's all plastic and feels loose when extended."
