"I bought a brand new Savage Mark II Bolt Action. 90% would not eject. Most people have misfire problems, but I only had 1 out of 300~ rounds. If you have a Mark II...your right index finger will get quite dirty pulling them out, and will take twice as long at the range to shoot. :-( Ya get what you pay for..."

"I purchased a brick of this ammo a few months ago and had no end of problems with it. My Ruger 10/22, which is usually as reliable as the day is long jammed continually, as did my S&W 22S. I found that some of the cartridges had the projectile seated in such a way that lead had been pushed up on the side of the casing, making it oversize and impossible to chamber. While the price is good, I would probably spend a few more dollars on a slightly higher-grade ammo. I am personally inclined towards Winchester Wildcat, which is a similar price and has in the past offered me superb performance with no jamming issues."

"i have a rem.597 and have used golden bullet since i started shooting it no stovepipes and no jams occasionally one would misfire 1 out of 400 good accuracy also. i tried winchester expert hollow point and every other one jammed so back to golden bullet i guess, for the price its good. i use cci velocitors and stingers for hunting which is a great small, and varmint round which cant be beat i think."

"My Remington Model 552 auto rifle simply will not cycle this Remington Golden Bullet ammo reliably. My Ruger Mk III pistol cycles everything BUT these rounds reliably. In my opinion, Remington has some serious quality control issues. Avoid their bulk rimfire ammo."

"Remington has a serious quality control problem with this \"Golden Bullet\" ammo, and it's been a problem for years now. FTE, FTF, failure to return to battery, squibs, you name it, a box of this junk will do it all."

"i have gone through about 5 boxes (~2625 rounds) of this ammo and have had only 4 misfires. when i first started buying this ammo it was $10 a box, when i last got a box it was $17. still well worth the price. i would shoot it from a ruger 10/22, marlin m105 bolt action, ruger mark II, and an old small french 22. i would keep buying if it wasnt so expensive now. about $27 a box now."

"I get about a 10% rate of FTF in both my Ruger 22/45 and my Ruger 10/22. I won't be buying anymore Remington 22 HP in the bulk packs. I have always had good luck with Remington (especially shotgun shells). But this 22 ammunition is junk."

"Bought a brick of these for a new Ruger Charger (10/22). Also shot it through Ruger MK III. It was the least accurate out of both guns compared to Federal 38gr, Winchester super x, Yellow Jackets, and CCI mini mags. Also had the highest dud rate, and failure to eject rate. Remington should be ashamed to sell this stuff with their name on it. PS. Remington Golden Sabres are my preferred cartrige in .45, .40, and 9mm...so if anything I have a prejudice FOR Remington!"

"i won't buy anything else but remingtom golden bullets. i have had the least amount of miss fires, and jams with this bullet. i have both a ruger 10/22, and a henry lever action 22. the golden bullets have given me the best performance out of any of the 22 bullets."
