Radiation Detection Survey Meters are still in use by civil defense workers to measure radiation.
These 8x4x5" units include a 25' long cord that allows you to measure radiation at a safe distance and an instruction booklet.

Model CDV-717 range is 0-0.5, 0-5, 0-50 and 0-500 roentgens/hour. Uses one standard D battery (not included).

The housing is in near-new condition. We are selling these as cold war era collectables. Cheaper Than Dirt has no way of testing the units for successful detection of radiation, however, a diagnostic circuit test has been conducted to ensure the circuit boards in each unit are functionally properly. We have a very limited quantity of these life saving devices, buy now before they are gone. Due to possible contamination, we cannot accept returns on these devices.

"Do not waste your money if you want a practical personal meter. One of the three that I purchased did not work. The range on the meter is so high that people would get toasted just seting them up."
