"I ordered one of these adapters and was a little unsure on how stable it would be mounted with a tactical bipod on the bayonet stub. When it arrived, I found it would be necessary to drill out the rivet, which held my stock sling swivel, located beneath the front sight. The rivet spun and it required a larger drill bit to remove a little material, and then it was punched out with ease. The adapter came with a thin bolt which mounted through the stock swivel hole and was easy to install. There was another allen screw, which took up any slack on the bayonet stub itself. Total install time around ten minutes. I mounted the tactical bipod using the picatinny rail, and was very pleased with the result, including rock hard stability. The quality of the part is excellent, and I give it a solid rating."

"I knew the moment I opened the package that I'd have to remove the sling loop and rivet, but since I planned on it anyway, it was no big deal. My tac-light goes right on with ease."

"I bought one of these and tried it, thinking I'd save some money. It doesn't line up correctly with the rear holes, and is extremely upwardly slanted. My M3 and M6 lights fit loose, rattle, and wobble front to rear.Sling loop causes the sling to bind at the front, and won't allow use of a MASH hook or quick release clasp. The anodizing is soft and it scratches easily. I did some searching and found this to be a knockoff of an original mount designed by another company. It is half the price of the original, but in my opinion, it is also half the quality."

"The rail went right on, after removing the rivet for the sling loop and drilling out that hole. The screw lined up and I was able to torque it and the set screw down. Good solid hold, looks good and hold the light. What I was looking for at a great price."

"Right idea, bad design. The perspective of this image hides the fact that it doesn't mount properly unless you do some machining on the bayonet lug. It doesn't even slide completely onto the mount of my weapon! I'd have been better off fabricating my own part, given how much this cost and how it's worthless. More images and a better description are required at the very least. This part actually is exactly what I wanted, provided that it mounted on the gun... which it doesn't."

"How anyone can give this a 1 or 2 star rating baffles me! It does exactly what it says it will. If you are looking for a pic add-on that slides and locks in, (with tightening nut, including) to the bayonet piece on your AR-15, then this is your item. And at the price point, how much are you going to bleat on about material quality.. which by the way is just fine. I got a tight fit on my AR-15 Bushmaster. I attached my bi-pod with ease and am very happy with the product."
