"After using this ammo.........Shooting a semi auto rifle, some rounds are so weak that they drop four feet in 20 yards while others are a red rocket. Some rounds have enough power to chamber while others don't. GARBAGE AMMO ! Not even worth shooting due to poor quality control."

"Shooting at twenty yards some were straight line red rockets while others dropped as much as four feet at twenty yards. Some would chamber in a semi auto rifle while others were too weak. Two box's of these were a total waste of money. I gave up after about twenty rounds of problems."

"I bought a box of these and tried them out in a .22 revolver with a 6 inch barrel. The bullets have VERY little powder and don't have the energy to completely leave the barrel. I shot the gun 3 times. The first shot went 1/2 way down the barrel and the last 2 shots piled up behind it. I was lucky to have not damaged my gun. I used a snubnose and they worked but only 1 out of 5 did what it was supposed to. They are very slow and looks like a small red flare. The other shots didn't do anything. They are rather quiet also. I wouldn't reccommend putting these in ANY GUN. They are dangerous. It took me about an hour to get the bullets out of the barrel. They were lodged hard. I used a cleaning rod to finally knock them out with a hammer. If you do get any, please be careful."

"Worst junk ever. Firing semi auto from 20 yards, some were red rockets, some drop off as much as 4 feet, some chamber and some don't. Terrible quality control. Don't buy these."

"These .22 LR tracers fire very well in my 10/22 carbine (no FTF's yet). However, in about a third of the rounds, the tracer element will come off of the bullet before it hits the target at 100 yards. Nonetheless, these are still very fun. The rounds are in CCI brass with a lead bullet."

"We had a good time shooting it! A few didn't work perfect, but the kids loved it and was a good display. Very bright!"

"I had a chance to try the tracers in both my 10/22 as well as a MK.1 semi auto handgun. I fired over 200 rounds, and they worked really well, fed, and fired true each time. I really enjoyed them and will buy more."

"After reading all the reviews of, several different brands of, tracer rounds. I decided to buy a couple of boxes of piney woods tracers. I loaded a 10rd clip to my New Reminton 597 .22lr Rimfire Rifle and proceeded to test fire the rounds. After shooting 2 clips, all 20rds fired successfully. The rounds traced out to at least 100yds and was very bright. I would like to see this particular brand of tracer rounds in a higher velocity load so that the round is visible for a longer distance. Piney Mountain does use a CCI brass caseing so we know it can handle a higher velocity load."

"This is the BEST tracer ammo on the market!! I shot it at knob creek and everyone loved it!! Not one jam, every tracer lit up and traveled well over 150+ yards. Nothing like it. NICE JOB PINEY MOUNTAIN AMMO. YOU MADE MY WEEKEND!!!"

"If you have ever complained about or not liking a .22LR ammo because you had a misfire every once in a while, stay away from this junk. I had some of these puppies almost not make it out the end of the barrel. In fact one was stuck in the barrel at the end of the barrel... NOT GOOD. Quality that we are not used to. Please remember, buy American. The more money we keep in this country tne more jobs we'll have. Everyone driving a foreigh car should move to the country they bought their car from."

"These tracers are by far the best I have ever come across, Shot 300 rds. the other day and they all lit up super bright no problem seeing in the middle of the day, lit up for 100+ yds, great fun, wife and kids love shooting these. Great Job Piney mtn. keep up the good work."

"I have shot hundreds and hundreds of rounds of this ammo in everything form a semi auto suppressed 1022 to a full auto American180. BRIGHT trace, cycles reliably. GREAT AMMO!A real crowd pleaser at the range. It still amazes me how they can make a little 22 bullet trace that bright and fly that straight out to and past 100yds. In a word....COOL!"

"These rounds are great. I bought a box and loved them. Used all of them hunting jack rabbits at night. not sure wear the bad reveiws came from because i've had no problems whatsoever(maybe they should clean their guns). A few tracers did lose the coating mid flight and made it apear as if the bulllet dropped almost imediatly after the barrel, but the dead rabitt proved otherwise. make sure to clean your gun after shooting them. they foul up the guns barrel a little more than usual, but is to be expected. They use cci brass not sure about much more than that. I've shot a lot of 22 rounds and these shoot as i would expect."

"Nice fun for the money, use them in two Remington Nylon 66's, sure Ive had a mis feed, Ive had a jam, Ive had some not be so bright but cmon folks, these are novelty items and should be used as such. Its great fun for novice shooters to be able to see where there shots are going, load up on em!!!! Ive also experienced jams, mis feeds and such with every brand Ive ever bought. You ones experiencing troulbe should have your guns shecked out, Im ordering more!"

"I purchased 2 boxes of 50 rounds. 1st shot did not light, 2nd shot did light, 3rd shot did not light...etc. I was ony able to shoot 46 of the 50 rounds from the first box b/c #47 came apart in the barrel during chambering and the bullet got stuck in the barrel. Had to knock it out with a cleaning rod. The ones that did fire and light looked great, but only about 50% of the rounds lit up. I won't WASTE my money on this junk again. Now I see why other stores QUIT CARRYING Piney Mountain tracer ammo."

"Lights up nice, dead on center at 30 yards. Each round appeared to burn for about a half second in wood target after impact, Very Cool. I would like to see this ammo offered in 500 or 1000 round bricks, it's addictive."

"I ordered two boxes of these, took them out to a range, and didnt have a single problem. All of them lit up fine and looked great out to 100 yds. PLEASE use caution though, they can, and DO light fires in dry grass or woods. We almost set a whole field on fire because one of these rounds ricocheted off into dry grass. It lighted on fire instantly!"

"I've purchased these several times and shoot them out of a Henry lever action and a Marlin model 60. I've NEVER had any problems and the bright red streak is way too cool. I clean my guns every time I shoot them no matter what. I suspect the complainers are shootin dirty guns ?"

"I have used this in my 10/22 rifle and my Phoenix HP22 pistol. Have shot the 4 boxes I ordered without failure to fire or trace. Bright enough to be seen well during the day, but they really shine at night. These are not exactly a powerful round and seem to group low for me."

"I was hesitant to purchase because of the one or two negative reviews. I'm glad I really wanted to try them out. Bought only two boxes, but after me and my friends shot it all in the first day, I'll be buying more! Did not work well in our handguns, but in our rifles, two out of ninety did not trace. These are the cheapest tracers you can get. If you're reading this review, that means your interested in buying some, do it."

"I decided to try these. I ran them thru my U22 Neos, which can digest anything. I had three jams in the first magazine and two in the second. However, 90% of the shots fired did not trace. That's right, out of both magazines, only one bullet each actually traced. And this by far was the dirtiest ammo I have ever run thru any gun - and I am familiar with tracer rounds. It took two cleanings to get my gun clean. Bottom line: Don't!"

"My auto pistols dont like these much, but they work great in my 10/22. No jams, but maybe 2-3 out of 50 didnt trace. Careful where you shoot these though. I shot into some dry brush and started a small fire!"

"I was hesitant due to the few bad reviews and tossed around the idea for about half a year, but finally decided to buy some. My friends and I had so much shooting these at night on one of our guy trips down to South Texas. They were really bright and had about a 98% success rate. I will definitely be buying some more."

"i think this might be the first negative review ive given on anything ive ever purchased from CTD. i fired about 10 rounds flawlessly and maybe 7 of those 10 traced and it was a horror show after that. i had a round go up the ramp like it should have and got stuck in the chamber almost like the bullet was too big to fit in the barrel. which it was. i should have more closely inspected the ammo before trying to use it. the ammo looks like the bullets were cast AROUND the shells on some of the rounds. some rounds are bigger around than others. some are severely misshapen and some are bent. i will NEVER buy any of this ammo again and am quite lucky it didnt damage my gun. dont buy this ammo!"

"These rounds are a blast to shoot off! Out of 50 rounds, every single one lit (very brightly, too) and stayed lit for about 1,000 meters. Only one was mis-shaped and would not load into the barrel. Other than that, the one complaint is that we couldn't get anything to blow up. A great buy!!"

"I just spent a weekend shooting with friends and these were the highlight of the weekend. They really do look like a Star Wars laser blast when they light. (This is from about 10yds out for about a quarter mile.)Found that they only light when shot from an actual rifle. 22LR handguns had about a 10% success rate. So pull out the Ruger 10/22 and go nuts, but beware these WILL START FIRES! (Shooting on a family farm and *intentionally* started an old wet round bale on fire, as well as some grass land *unintentionally, but controlled.* It had even rained the night before so take care and have a solid backdrop that .22LR can\uFFFDt penetrate.)I WILL be buying more of these! They chambered well, and were no dirtier then any bulk box .22LR that you can find. (I\uFFFDm looking at you Federal.)Pick some up and enjoy!"

"I bought these hoping they would be a good show, and they are! Nice bright tracer and definitely effective to see the bullet. However, I have only shot about 20 of the 150 I bought. Three of those 20 have broken off in the barrel after being chambered. I thought the first one was a misfire, cleared the barrel and reloaded- BIG MISTAKE! Jammed it up even more. Loaded 4 more, hoping I had just one bad casting- but no! the 3rd one broke off, then the 4th. I do not recommend these."

"Took a box of these hunting with my 13 year old son. Shot them through a Ruger 10/22 at night and they all traced, though some were quite a bit brighter than others. Fed ok from the factory 10 round magazine, but did have 3 or 4 fail to feed out of 50 rounds shot. That's the only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars. My son loved shooting these and we sure had a lot of fun - well worth the price to see his smile! I'll get more for the next time we go hunting or shooting."

"Not bad tracers. I cringed a bit at the thought of spending 15 bucks on 50 rounds when I could be getting 500 rounds for the same price, but I bought them on a whim anyways. Why not? I figured. All of the 50 rounds I purchased lit up and burned brightly. Had maybe three out of 50 fail to feed in my GSG-5, but after some shimmeying got those three to feed and fire as well. But you'll have this problem with any .22LR semi-auto."

"Just got back from shooting these. They were so much fun. Really was like a laser beam. The reason I only give 3 bullets is because of the high price and the fact that I had around 7 rounds that misfed. Annoying considering the price but they really are tons of fun."

"Very disappointed that these would not feed reliably in my Ruger 10/22. Every 4 or 5 rounds there was a jam. Evidently, the bullet size was not standard. I could see that some rounds were actually jamming in the factory Ruger magazine. When they do feed, they are great. It's great fun to see the tracer, even in full sunlight. I had an earlier batch of these that did not experience so many jams. So maybe you will get lucky. I probably won't buy any more, due to the cost and jamming. No problems in bolt action single shot and no problems in .22 revolver."

"Not sure why such bad marks, we have taken these out a couple times now with the kids. They cycle in a M&P 1522 in a 50 round drum as fast as you can pull the trigger without a single failure.. though not every time. The price is definetly a factor but to hear childen say whoa, eh what can ya do."
