"This product is a great modification. It's very durable. My wife and I both use this shotgun. With the adjustable stock, we can both be comfortable shooting, while only taking seconds to adjust."

"Just installed this on my Maverick 88 (12Ga.) and it fits like a glove. Took two minutes once I got the original stock off. The tactical stock DOES allow easy access to the action lock lever. I haven't taken it to the range yet, but other reviews said it's quite durable. I didn't attach the shell carrier due to yet another review that said it rattles on the rounded edge, but it's nothing a 10 cent, small, rubber washer at a local home improvement store can't fix. CTD offers another tactical stock (item: SHT-278) that specifically fits a Maverick 88, but the review said it covered up the lock lever, so I chose this one. And it's cheaper!"

"I bought this to convert a used Mossberg 500 12ga I bought to a tactical HD blaster. Between this stock and a Mossberg 18.5\" barrel I got from CTD, I was able to change the old 500 to a great HD shotgun. I definitely recommend this. Solid build and went on super easy in less than 5 minutes."

"Fit perfectly on my Mossy 500. Has a good cheek weld (for me) which is something I was worried about. Great addition for a home defense shotgun. The shell holder is ok for what it is. Placement is ok for when the weapon is shoulder fired, but somewhat awkward if shooting from the hip (rubs forearm). If that is a problem for you, simply don't install it. The only real complaint I have is the small amount of mold flashing still on it as received. I did not really notice it until I fired a 3\" buckshot, the extra recoil from that caused enough kick that a small bit of flashing scraped my cheek and drew blood. I simply scraped the flashing off with a knife and sanded it smooth with some fine sandpaper - problem solved. For that reason alone I'm taking one star off the rating. I recommend this stock, but please take a little care with some sandpaper before you shoot."

"Just installed this stock on a Maverick 88 and it fits great. There's a small gap between the trigger guard, which allows access to the slide release button, unlike the the model designated for the Maverick 88 custom. Overall, great stock. Can't wait to hit the range."

"Just mounted this stock to my Maverick 88 and it gives it a whole new feel. I am very pleased with this product. I will be passing the word around about how great it is."

"Got it for my 590 and about 30 rounds of 00 buck and it cracked at the slider bar where it bolts to the shotgun. Not a sturdy design."

"Nice fit. Easy install. Looks awesome. Got 4 bullets because I haven't shot it, and the screws for the shotshell holder were missing. However, customer service is great and took care of missing screws free of charge."

"This stock feels great, not cheap, and it was very easy to install. However, my stock was missing the screws for the shell carrier. That's the only reason I couldn't give it 5 bullets. I'm in the process of finding out what I need to do. I can easily pick them up if I just knew the size."

"Like I said - can't go wrong. Put in the stock, which was easy, and the only problem was the screwing it in. The Allen wrench that comes with it does not turn all the way; gotta turn it little by little. But other than that, it fit my Mossberg 88 perfectly and better than original stock. Good buy, can't go wrong. Honestly worth every penny."

"Fit my Maverick 88 perfectly. Easy to install, but a little tricky. Screwing it in with the Allen wrench won't turn all way. You have to do it little by little. Other than that, it's awesome. Highly recommend if you don't like original stock on the 88. Adjustable, fits perfectly on my chest, and comes with a little hole for the sling. Overall, just can't go wrong."

"I got this and was very excited about the shell holder and adjustable stock. Only problem was after less than 50 shells, the thing broke in half, right behind the hand grip. There is a small 1/4 inch bolt holding to plastic pieces together that just sheared off. Poor design."

"After reading all the reviews, I had the understanding that this was well built. It certainly feels sturdy. However, why on Earth is the \"buffer tube\" made of plastic? It would have made so much sense to copy the construction of the AR-15 and make both the tube and stock the same quality. First thing out of the box I threw away the stock and slapped a Magpul CTR (commercial size) on it to at least give it some appearance of quality. Excellent design, poor quality."

"This is an ok replacement, the grip is actually not to thick and you can get a good grip on it, the adjustable stock is loose right where it fits in to the back of the grip, i used double sided thin car foam tape in between and its a bit sturdier with not much play like it did without the foam. The rear adjustable slide is a bit loose as well, not much but still loose, not sure if all adjustable stocks are loose or just this model. The heavy foam butt pad is a nice feature and provides real nice shock absorption. Looks like it has the holes to mount a cheek pad too."

"Great stock fit n finish looks good on my mossberg 500 , feels very sturdy n well made, has a narrow pistol grip but still feels good. The shot holder is cheap n low quality soft plastic n will break if strained, but that is the only fault I've found so far. Its well worth the price."

"I read the reviews for this product, and thought long and hard about it. I finally decided to buy the product, and it was one of the best investments that I made for upgrading my Mossberg 500. All the tools and instructions were in the package and was easy to install."

"Fits perfect on Mossberg 500. Installed in 10 minutes, tops. Shell carrier screws in on either side into pre-drilled holes with self tapping screws making it good for lefty or righty. Overall better than expected and cheaper than the others out there."

"This has been the single greatest addition to my mossberg 500. It fits beautifully, looks wicked and the extra shells it holds especially for the price, makes this a must have. My wife likes a short length of pull and I like along the length off pull and this item gives us what we both want. If you plan on putting this on your 12 gauge and shooting slugs then i would be prepared for some kick because the recoil pad isnt very soft but a real man or woman can handle a kick to the shoulder and if not, then u probably should stick with ur red ryder bb gun u got when u were 6"

"I bought this stock knowing it was cheap but I thought a pistol grip would make my 500 more versatile. oS I gave this thing a try. While the fit/quality is fine I discovered that the angle of the butt pad caused the stock to rise up and bang me in the cheek when I fired the gun. Also actuating the safety is inconvenient and operating slide release impossible with the gun to my shoulder. I put my original synthetic stock back on and screwed the shell holder on the side; love it this way. My opinion, while a pistol grip looks cool on a 500 it isn't very practical. Maybe your build different than me (I'm small framed) and the stock would work for you but I can not recommend this product."
