When attached to virtually any 12" diameter bucket (3.5- to 7.0gallon), the Gamma Seal lid provides airtight protectionfor the contents---excellent for literally thousands ofstorage applications. The resilient elastomeric gaskets keep air and contaminants out, while protecting the contents. Stackability is also a handy feature! "I bought a couple of these primarily to fit existing buckets with conventional lids used to store dry dog food. Once I saw how well they seal and how easily they open, I plan on buying more to store our supply of SHTF food. I was very pleased with the delivery time and the way they were packaged. I would highly recommend them for anything you store in plastic buckets that you want quick, easy access to."

"I just went down to replenish one of my buckets of dry goods after emptying it to send food with my son at School. My daughter points out the the screw on lid was cracked in middle. I checked every other lid in this order and they all had big cracks right through the center after only a year and a half of storage. They are now useless for storing anything air tight."

"Like another reviewer, I found a large crack in the lid and unfortunately Cheaper Than Dirt will not replace. I bought it in August 2012 but didn't take it out of the box until October 2014 so it was never used. I don't know if it came like that or if somehow the heat in my garage caused it but whatever, it certainly is not reliable as an airtight container."
