Few firearms have achieved the world wide recognition and appeal of John Moses Browning's Colt 1911 Handgun. Colt continues to take its timeless battle proven M1911 pistol updating it with the Rail Gun to meet the ever changing requirements of its customers. After a rigorous selection process The M45-A1 Rail Gun was selected by the United States Marine Corps as the Close Quarters Battle Pistol. This full sized Government model 1911 begins with a durable forged stainless steel barrel, frame and slide. The pistol has an impervious Decobond Brown finish that resists corrosion, chemicals, dirt and abrasion in the most adverse of conditions and is complemented nicely by durable checkered desert tan G10 grips. It features Novak Low Mount 3-Dot Carry Sights with a fiber optic front sight and a Series 80 firing system. An M1913 Picatinny Rail offers you the versatility to attach a light or laser making it a tactical pistol that is easily adaptable to any circumstance. A lowered ejection port provides enhanced reliability and the dual recoil spring system reduces felt recoil. You will be pleased with the ambidextrous extended thumb safety, and the upswept beaver tail grip safety, that enhance the familiar controls you're used to. You will not find a better 1911 defensive pistol than Colt Rail Gun.
