Pachmayr products are 100% designed and manufactured here in the USA. They are an industry leader that has earned a solid reputation for making some the highest quality grips in the industry. With a great deal of innovation and technologically advanced materials the name Pachmayr is synonymous with the term Recoil Reduction.

The Thompson/Center Contender is a fine hunting handgun, it also packs quite a kick. The best way to control that recoil is with a Pachmayr Rubber Grip. Available in three (3) versions: Presentation Style without finger grooves, Gripper style with finger grooves, and for the ultimate in recoil control, Decelerator Gripper Style. (Does not fit G2)

"This grip fits my medium/large sized hands much better than the Hogue monogrip for the Ruger Redhawk (5.5\"). It is also softer than the Hogue Monogrip which is a plus. It is thinner than the monogrip or factory grips and I believe that lends to better handling somehow, it just feels right. Also, I find that it sits lower in my hand than with the Hogue monogrip (which made the gun ride TOO high and the stock grip made the gun ride too low in my hand). When I reach for the gun on my hip during draw/shoot practice, my fingers index in the same spot every time which is great. The only downfall to this grip (and the other Pachmayr grips as far as I know) is that the grip is not sealed all the way around. While the backstrap is covered with this grip on (unlike the Hogue Monogrip and stock wood grips), the front of the grip where the finger grooves are only comes together. There is a small crack where rubber meets rubber. With this softer Decelerator grip, I get a little movement out of that area. At first this gave me the impression that the grips are cheap, but after taking them off again and inspecting them, I realize that the grips are actually reinforced with a metal frame (the rubber molded around it) and the soft rubber \"wiggles\" a litte where it protrudes the furthest away from that metal frame. I assume this wouldnt be noticeable with the regular gripper grips from Pachmayr but I would rather have these grips with the recoil reduction properties for my .44magnum."
