"I just received the MkIII and so far, so good. Though I've yet to put it through its paces on the range, my first impression is that it's solid and not some flimsy piece of plastic crap. After adjusting the scope's tension bolt, it took only took a few seconds to mount; I opted to mount it on the weaver rail, though this scope can be mounted on the carrying handle if so desired . The mil-spec reticle looks crisp, however don't be alarmed if you open the box and peer through the scope and the reticle looks fuzzy; a quick adjustment on the focusing ring will fix that. The illuminated reticle feature on this scope is nice; red or green, take your pick. The illuminated reticle allows three brightness settings in either color. Like I stated earlier, I've yet to 'zero' this scope out, so stay tuned, more to come..."

"This scope seems to have pretty fair quality for the money. It is solid, i personally love the quick connect/disconnect and the red/green illumination. Probably more designed for an AR-15 but works extremely well on my WASR-10 AK. 4 Bullets simply because i havent fired it yet. Good buy!"

"Purchased for my flattop M&P 15 and am very happy. Quick set and zero, stays on the paper even with a little wiggle during fire. No problem after a little adjusting of the tension bolt. Lighted Reticle makes for clear sighting on any terrain and bullet drop feature makes adjusting out to 200-300 yards no problem. Great Buy, Great Price!!!"

"I got this a week a go put it on my Sig 556 and got it calibrated with boresight and accuracy is great at 400 yards. Make sure that the recoil from the Sig 556 is clear with quick lock on your scope. It is cool with selecting green and red illuminated at low light. I like this but I would have get the better one like NC STAR Mark III 3-9X42."

"I spent the last two months looking for a tactical scope to mount to the carry handle and settled on this one when I saw that it was a new addition to CTD. The illuminated crosshair is amazing. You can choose between red or green and the colors are extremely vibrant. This is the actual P4 sniper reticle, not the range-finding reticle as stated in the CTD description. In the NCSTAR 08' catalog there are three different reticles: P4 Sniper, Range-Finder, and Mil-Dot. I figured I would include that fact considering I was curious myself when I first started searching. This scope also comes with a removable scope cover for when not in use. I was impressed with that. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my selection. IMO, this scope is best suited mounted to item # 23913. THANKS CTD!!!"

"I have an ACOG and used an ACOG for the last 3 years serving in the marine corps as an infantry squad leader. Side by side with an ACOG it is great quality, I was very surprised! I bought this scope because $900-$1200 scope is a lot of money for a poor man who just spent $900- $1500 on a ar-15. I love this scope. The top nob adjusts from numbers 1-5, which is calibrated for 100-500 yards. easy to adjust, once you sight it in at 100 yards you are sighted all the way out to 500 yards ( assuming there is no wind!!! ). This scope has a quick detach lever on the right side. It is a clear view and so far holds its zero (1000 rounds so far). I would definitely trust this scope if i had to. My only complaint is that the illuminated reticle has only in 3 bright settings and is even too bright for late afternoons, and definitely to bright for night! Other than that I would definitely recommend this scope! Good hunting!"

"not really wut i expected. based on others' reviews, its said to be extremely bright in any weather condition(which is exactly wut i need). but im experiencing the complete opposite. green illumination is too low even on its brightest setting, for outdoor use. the red illumination is fair. but still not enough for broad day. which is pointless to have either, if ur range is an outdoor like mine. it also duznt fit the rail as firm as its supposed to. duznt shake or fall off, but will move back n forth if u manually wobble to check its fit. 3 bullets as its not the best or worst."

"The scope itself is very nice and clear and i am satisfied with it.... but i was under the impression that it would attach to my carrying handle. it DOES NOT. haha i shoulda researched a little better i guess... but it is a very nice scope. i am going to my local gun shop tomorrow to buy a carrying handle mount then i'm off to zero this bad boy in. LOVE the scope! just was upset that it didn't fit"

"Got this to mount on my PTR-91 and am very pleased. has held it's zero after many rounds, even with a heavier round like the .308. Only qualm is that with a fresh battery the reticle is overly bright but thats fixes itself after its drained a little."

"Seems to be well made and worth the money. I really like the quick-detach rail mount. I wish the illuminated reticle wasn't SO bright. This should do the trick, since I couldn't justify the $800 to $1400 for an ACOG."

"I am pleased with this scope for what it is. Visibility is good and the brightness is fine in both red and green. The quick attach lever is great feature, and locks down tight. The only recommendation I have is to place a couple drops of lock tight on the bottom screws that attach the scope to the quick attach base. Mine was loose and was shooting all over the paper till I figured out what was wrong. All in all a good scope for the price, but you get what you pay for."

"I read the reviews and decided to give this a try. It fit My Arizona Armory M4 right out of the box, but had excellent instructions included if needed. I have fired about 200 rounds with this scope and have had no problems. You can't beat the value you get with this scope."

"This is my second scope from CTD,I was happy with the first one but couldn't resist this one. This is a very well made scope, definitely worth the $80.00 CTD is selling it for.Im sure ill have it for years to come. The quick release is a good feature and works flawlessly,it also comes with lens protectors for when the scope is not in use.Im very happy I purchased it and already have a buddy that will be getting one for his AR-15 as well.Highly recommended!!!!!"

"Good scope for the money. I have one set up on my flat-top AR and it sighted in well and shoots great. The red and green crosshair option is cool, but you wont notice it in bright daylight (just keep it on black). It looks cool as well- kind of a Trijicon look (without the price)."

"I hesitated at first on purchasing this scope, based on previous reviews on here - mainly with the reticle being too bright and the price being way less than my other $500 scopes. After a quick BZO on my 6.5G and almost perfect 2" groupings at ~635 meters with 90 shots, I am extremely impressed! And that's without fine tuning the scope. The QD option is useful as well to switch between field shooting or CQ/home defense. As long as the scope is remounted at the exact position, no readjustments are needed. I initially purchased this for my AR-15, but wanted to test the reach on the 6.5 and it looks like I'm keeping it on there! We'll see how long it can take abuse from the slightly higher caliber over time. Heck, at this price I'll just buy a few to keep around. Well worth it!"

"This scope looked pretty good. But I couldn't get it to hold zero. I bore-sighted it and then put a lot of rounds through my AR-15 trying to sight it in. The point of impact wouldn't change and I adjusted and adjusted that thing. Finally it moved into zero, but it only lasted 10 rounds before it was 6" right again. I guess you get what you pay for. I learned my lesson."

"What a waste of time and money. Tried to sight this in with my 223 AR15. What a nightmare! After about 200 rounds it wont even stay on my rail system. Don't waste your time, no good piece of junk"

"i did blow 60 rounds zeroing this thing out, but for thoughs of you out there who just could not get this scope to stay centered, try tightening the mount screws to the scope. mine were loose but my eyes do still work good enough to tell that something was just a little off too often. after tightening the screws i was sighted in about 6 rounds. felt so stupid. i could not give a full five shells because although i found "zero" i never got a True zero. i found the sighting to be consistant though. not everybody is trying to hit a little finger nail sized bulls-eye anyway. i would like to have seen slightly smaller cross hairs, but it is a sniper scope and i really could not tell you hew well the range finder works. i don;t have enough land to safely find out. great buy! I you want a sig, then dish out the $1000+ you need for that level of quality. -breedz"

"purchased this last week for my ar15 and fit perfect out of the box with the quick attach lever with no wobble. Scope sighted in within 3 rounds and kept its mark after removal and reinstalled. This would score 5 bullets but switch for red/green illumination is kinda funky with the battery case cover being integrated with this knob. All in all I highly recomend and CTDdelivered it within 2 days using regular ground WOW."

"Well I bought this scope for my DPMS flat top ar-15. needless to say its got a nice aggressive look to it. however first time at the range I shot about 20 rounds trying to zero it in and the scope came loose from the base. lot of people have had this issue so I suggest this. first thing when you get it take the scope mounting screws out and put loc-tite on them. I did and its held great for the last 300 rnds. didn't find a true zero but the groupings at 100 yards are within 1" so I'd say its pretty good for the money"

"put it on my 10/22 and it looks great, mounted on quick and sighted it in just as fast, doesnt move around at all feels pretty solid, very clear view and the illuminated red green works just fine, reticle is a little thick but its not a big deal, had it for awhile now and havent had to resight it since the day i first got it still can hit something the size of a dime at 60yds, very happy with it."

"All you guys out there that are in the same boat I am in, investing in weaponry first because of the current liberal leftist socialists that are now in power, but who need a quick fix for some great optics, this is it! Purchased a Weaver AR-15 Tri Rail mount to attach to my carryhandle on my M4 Bushmaster, then slapped the Mark III scope on, and "bang" for about 100 bucks I can hit a knats ass now at 400 yards! Buy it now! After we kicked the socialists to the curb you can always go back and get the high dollar Trijicon/Eotech stuff!"

"Was a loose fitting on my flattop, after some easy/minor adjustments to the quick attach/release system the problem was solved. I was surprised by the clarity for the price. 1st brightness setting could be lower. Judging from the reviews I will give this scope a 1000rd or so torture test on my Colt M4 .22lr before I move it to my Colt le6920."

"Well, I figured I'd try to save a few bucks but that old antage popped up of "You get what you pay for". The scop mounted correctly and looked sharp on my AR. but that's about it..While trying to sight it in, I ended up taking it into 25 yards just to get it on paper and even with the elevation bottomed out on the scope I couldn't even get it close to hitting the paper at 100 yards. Gonna spend the extra cash and go with a better, more proven glass. I only reason gave this product one bullet is because they didn't have a lower score."

"I bought this scope about a year ago for my AR 15. It works great, the only problem I had with it was I stripped the screw tightening it down but bought a bigger screw and it worked perfectly. I put about 1000 rounds with it and it stays zeroed. Ive since bought an EoTech for my AR and put it on my cx4 and still works just fine."

"Bought this for my wife. Spent about 10 rounds getting it sighted it in and then went to testing it out. within another 3-4 rounds, the scope had lost zero. Tried re zeroing and it would get close, and then I would have wild shots. After pulling the scope off and taking a closer look, turns out the base was coming loose from the scope. I went home, pulled all the hardware for the mount and locited it. Have not been back to check if this fixes the issue. not pleased."

"I like the scope alot, but the magnification could of been a little better. It blurs at about 70 yards and cant get a good focus. Luckily I'm only using it for about 50 yards so it works great. For the money its a awesome scope. Dont forget, its a scope treat it like one, tighten it down so it wont work loose."

"Dont waste your money. Looks kind of cool if thats what you like. After 80 rounds on AR Flat top: 1. It Does not hold zero. 2. All the screws soft and loose. Even the screws holding the adjustment knobs fell out. 3. The Base screws came loose and fell out. 4. At the lowest illumination setting, the entire view washes out in low light. You will not even be able to see out of the scope. This is an Unbelievable waste of money. I wouldnt put this thing on a pellet gun. Id rather use iron sights. Mine is in the trash now. Wish I could give it -5 bullets. CTD let me down on this one..."

"I too was drawn in by the cheap price, don't do it. I can't say much for this scope holding zero since I've never been able to zero it in. The screws are made out of the softest metal possible and despite several attempts to loc-tite them in they continually come loose within a few shots.I am usually very happy with CTD but not this time. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is accurate, save your money and buy something better."

"I bought this scope a while ago, put it on a 20" AR then decided to switch it to my 16 AR. It still held zero and is accurate out to 500yrds. The only issue I have found is the glass is not as clear as it could be and the illumination light can be seen from the muzzle end of the gun. Overall a great scope for the money."

"Unlike many others here I have had absolutely no problems with this scope. The quick-detach lever is adjustable for different rails, and has given me no problems over the 2 years I have had it. I wouldn't abuse it like an Eotech but it does the job just fine."

"Wanted a tac. style scope for my sr556. Read the reveiws good and bad and for the price, why not? People were right, the side adjusting set screw is a peice of junk. It stripped before I mounted the scope. Hint. Use thin metal shims to adjust the mount and use the set screw to only hold the shims in place. This worked fine and resulted in a good tight fit. Scope looks good on the rifle and the sight picture etc. if very good. Will go to the range asap and report back"

"Took the mounted scope to the range. Got it on paper @ 50 yds, and shoot nice tight groups. Moved to 100yds and again, shot nice groups. Scope stayed tight [see part 1, the metal shim] I'm sure that's the solution to the scope not staying tight on the rail. For the money, it's a good deal. You will not shoot 1" groups at 300yds, but that's not what my rifle is for. For informal target shooting and self/home defense it's fine. Quick release mount is a plus, so you can go to the flip up sights just in case. Will advise if problems arise after more rounds are fired."

"Bought as a cheap ACOG replacement for M4. Don't bother with this scope. BDC is broken and has never worked (does not shift aim point, just spins because it relies on friction, no set screw). 1/2 MoA clicks is below standard IMHO (go with no higher than 1/4). Illuminated Reticle is way too bright. In order to use lifetime warranty, you have to send in $10 so that with shipping and you have already spent a 1/4 of the value of the scope to get it fixed."

"I read all of the mixed reviews about the scope not holding a zero for the 5.56 rifles. I honestly haven't tested it on my M-4, but I have two of these scopes for both of my Kel-Tec SU-22's and they perform beautifully. My first one, the cross hairs aren't 100% lined up, slight angle to them. But no issues, the other one the base needs adjusted. I'll eventually get around to putting it on my M-4 and seeing how they hold up and if they can keep a zero with the 5.56 I'll see if they can handle my .308, skeptical if best for the .308, but I'll try it and see what happens. Either way, great scopes for .22LRs and other rimfires."

"I looked at alot of reviews for this and they were very mixed, but I wanted a tactical scope for my tac entry rock river and I can't afford an acog right now so I gave this a try. I got to say I am quite happy with the purchase. Yeah there are minor flaws- the reticle in mine is a little canted, nothing too bad and the mount does have a cheap feel, but if you follow the directions it is solid. I have had it for a week, shot 40 american eagle rounds throught it, took it off, and put it back and put another hundred rounds through and it is still secure and still holds zero. So to conclude pretty good scope for price hope this helps."

"Iv looked at the reviews here mine. Iv shot over 200 rounds with my ar-15 with 223 and 5.56 scope stays on point ! only one con with my scope, the adjustment for changing colors and brightness is hard to turn other than that easy to set in so on that note ill give it a 4.I give CTD a 5 for shipping Thanks..."

"This scope is wonderful. The red and green illumination is bright and crisp. On a clear day, the sight can be used accurately without the light on. Solid construction and great quick-detach. It comes with two batteries, so you already have a back-up. It fits great on my DPMS Oracle."

"Many of the prior reviews make good points. I mounted mine on a Colt M4A1 SOCOM and the set screws in the mount are not high quality. The illuminated reticle is somewhat bright. After sighting it in at 50 and 100 yards, it works very well for the price."

"Got the scope this weekend and immediately knew it would be going back. Now, I should have known that for the price, the quality would be lacking, but after reading so many good reviews, I thought that maybe this was a good deal in sheep's clothing. Wrong. It's really that bad. Where to start. First, the reticle isn't centered in the scope. I really liked the sniper reticle and it shows up OK in the black, but when you turn on the colors (both red and green), the light distorts the left side of the scope reticle and blurs it out of focus. The mount is OK and appears to get tight on the rail, but it won't maintain zero when removing it to use iron sights. Also, this scope has a 3 inch eye relief, so you can't mount it and keep your rear sight on the gun, so for me, it would be a stand-alone sight and not suited for up-close combat. In the few shots I took with it, it appeared to stand up to the recoil of a 5.56 but I really doubt it would keep it after many rounds or anything with a heavy recoil. If I were to use this as a stand-alone sighting system, it would probably be on my Colt AR-22, but I already have a red dot scope that does allow co-witness with the iron sights. So this is being returned.I've made a lot of orders with CTD. As always, they excel in delivery and promptness. This is the first time I've had to send anything back to them."

"At first glance I was pretty impressed with the scope for the price. It mounted well and sighted in easily. Then I started playing with the illumination. The nob doesn't work perfectly and you have to play with it to get the illimination to stay on. It has held up on my AR-15 so far and has decent opicts. I would have given it 3 bullets, but when you consider the price it jumps to 4 bullets. It's a good scope, but not a great one."

"After putting this on my gun, not only did it make my AR look awesome, when I took it to the range, it's performance wasn't lacking either. After zeroing the scope, I shot a few more rounds through it, took it off the rail, and put it back on. Did that about 10 times, shot it, and was still on zero. Love it, would recommend to anyone for the price."
