"I recently purchased this riser for my AR for tactical uses. I am impressed with the durability and strength with respect to the price. Similar risers are much more expensive and provide the same results. This riser gives me just enough clearence from my front sight. Also provides two side mounts that can be moved from the left or right side of the rail."

"the mount is built well..but it doesnt slip on easialy to my flat top bushmaster ar-15..i have to take the side which moves off and slip it inder to mount on my flat top...i will try the handle mount to see if that fits better"

"I put one of these on my Panther LR-308 AR about five months ago. With about 800 rounds through it so far with my 4.5-14 scope mounted atop this riser hasn't moved at all. With the movable side mounts there is a great place for my Surefire light. When you take the moveable plates off you still have a 3/8 in. rail, [like 22s], for the accesories that use that type."

"This product seems to be ok and is built pretty sturdy from what I can tell. However I got it for my flat top M4 that I cary for work and it raised my red dot up about 1/2 inch too high so instead of being able to co-witness my iron sights with it all I see is the lower edge of my scope housing. So be advised this is a tall riser and it will raise your scope about an inch not 1/2 inch like I thought it would be. The reason for only 3 bullets is poor discription of product not poor quallity"

"For some reason I got three of these instead of one, but that's OK since I have three ARs. I tried two on my Smith and Wesson M&P and neither one would fit. Then I found out that if I took off the long piece of the slide and put it on upside down that it would fit. It's a bit too long to have my removable iron sights as well as a scope mount but it fits sticking up about halfway across the hand guard release. I can't see my iron sites through this riser, but if I stack up two of them I can. I plan on getting a thinner solid riser to go under this one so I'll be able to see my iron sights as well as my red dot. The red dot comes up just above the front sight, it works but another riser under this would be ideal. On one of these the screws were kind of tough to remove and I found that the screws seemed to be made of aluminum and were half stripped. Both screws almost stripped on one riser but another one had the screws come out perfect. But the price was right, real cheap."

"Works well on a BushA4, perfect length. The hollow riser space is a great channel for protecting your touch pad cord and keeping it out of the way if you mount a laser. Not sure if mounting something on the right hand side would still allow a shell to eject cleanly, so just utilizing the scope and left hand rails and keeping the light on the front of the barrel where it's best anyway. It's time to get those things you've been thinking about getting. Stop putting it off and just spend the money! Get what you might need right now, while your $ still has value and the goods are still available. Your wife may complain now but it's a sure thing she'll thank you later. ;)God bless CTD. These guys deliver with fast service and affordable merchandise."

"I tried to put it on my spanking new DPMS 308 LR and found the holes in the retaining slide don't match up to the tapped holes in the main piece after being placed on the gun. This results in not being able to insert and screw down the screws that clamp it onto the rail. Carefully looking at the holes in the retainer I see that they are off center vertically. Flipping the retainer around the other way so that the holes are off center the other way still does not move them enough for the holes in the retainer to line up with the tapped holes in the main piece. They are off about 1/16 of an inch one way and about 3/32 the other. Furthermore looking at the holes and comparing them to the retaining screws I see that the holes are too large for the screws so that the screw heads will almost, but not quite, go through the holes. Even if the holes lined up the screw heads would eventually wallow out the holes after taking the riser on and off a few times. Considering that I bought this to mount a scope to Ive realized it will seriously compromise accuracy even if I do some fine filing, etc to get it to fit. (Ive done machine, motorcycle and automotive mechanical work, and some gunsmith work so I know what Im talking about.) This might fit some guns out-of-the-box with loose tolerances on the sizing of the rails, but I still would not use it due to the hole sizing issue. It might be OK to mount a flashlight or laser on if you seriously want a perpetrator to see you in the dark and get a chance to shoot you before you can defend yourself. Other than that I wouldnt buy or use it. The box it arrived in said "Made in China". This was the first clue I had as to where it was made. If I had known this was made in China I would not have bought it. Unfortunately as with most things made in China it is junk marketed to the US mass consumer who has little care for quality or durability. Buy one that is American made."

"I bought it to raise a scope up a little higher, but it could have been raised a little more. Its a useful product, with the railage on it, but its just a little too uncomfortable for me to use."

"Mount looks good and is easy to install. Mounted a 3x30 NC Star on a Colt LE and its height is just right, red dot fits and works fine. Not too bulky with both mounted. The only thing is the allen wrench screws that mount it to the weapon tighten to a certain point and then just spin. Might try some Lock Tite or new screws if the mount comes loose. Over all a great mount for the price."

"The rail elevated my scope perfectly. Easy to install and I have not had to re-tighten screws at all. I have 30mm ring set on the rail and my grouping is perfect every time. If you have a flat rail you definitely need this item."

"When I recieved mine it only had 1 rail on each side instead of the two it shows in the picture. Its built well and mounted solid. It was two long for me to leave my BUIS sights on the rear of my Kel-tec SU-16C, but it says AR-15 now doesn't it. Overall, a very good piece for the price."

"I tied to mount this on my AR-15 and I couldn't get it tight enough to hold. After I mounted the scope on it. I could see it move when I tilted the rifle to the side. Never even attempted to fire a shot to sight it in. I would not recommend this product."
