"Bought 2 of these and 1 20 round magazine. Never had a jam in my mini 14. The same model for the Bushmaster is very poor however."

"great magazines never jammed once when using them. they are a kind of hard to load but you get used to it. just as good as factory mags. they don't look like the best quality but its only 15 bucks."

"I bought a 20rd, 30rd & 40rd. One each for trial. minimal problems with any of them. I'm sure to buy more soon."

"poor quality, spring does not keep ammo flush at the top resulting in many jams"

"This magazine is of poor quality. I bought one of these and it didnt even fit. Its difficult to insert into the notch. Once inserted, its very difficult to remove. Yeah it looks good and durable but its totally constructed for failure."

"My well-broken-in mini-14 is pretty forgiving of aftermarket variances, but these magazines are difficult to seat and jam frequently, even when using match grade ammo. If you need 40 rounds go the old route and tape two 20 round mags together. These magazines will do little more for the shooter than provide something new to practice expletives with."

"Wow - to be honest, I wasn't expecting this mag to work very well after reading the poor reviews, and considering the low cost. I skeptically ordered 1 of these mags & it works FLAWLESSLY in my mini 14. I generously lubed it up w/gun oil which probably helped. Fits snugly into gun, rounds (Wolf 55 gr fmj .223, 20 rds for $5.97!) chamber correctly, no misfires or jams, easy to load, an all around great mag & an unbeatable price. The only reason I can think that people would give this a poor rating is because (I am serious here) they dont want others to purchase them all -> they may think the supply is limited & try to discourage others from purchasing them. I am very happy with this & will be buying more. I realize that it is possible that I just got very lucky & my mag happened to be better than some of the others, but I think that they would all be basically the same. Those of you having problems with this mag should oil it up (makes loading a bit easier too!), clean your gun, & use decent ammo & the mag would work just fine imho. THANKS CTD"

"Purchased this as well as the blued 30 round magazine. Both continue to work flawlessly in my Mini 14 without the use of explicatives as another reviewer suggests. My experience with aftermarket magazines is some work with some guns they are designed for, others work intermitently. For the price, I was willing to risk it. I will be purchasing more of these in the future and not the 30 round magazines, simply because the 40 round magazines hold 10 more rounds. Only complaint is outrageouse shipping price to Alaska. Cheaper to ship to relative then have them ship via USPS flat rate for $4.80, why not use USPS?????"

"OK I saw the reviews and was skeptical at first about buying them but went ahead and ordered 2 40s, one of them loaded just fine but the other one had probs, ammo kept popping out when I would get about 15-20 in plus it didn't seat easily in my firearm, the other 40 rounder on the other hand does just fine for an aftermarket mag, it holds the ammo perfectly and the first time I took it out to test it I had it through 2 shells at once twice but it's $15 so I said who gives a crap right I mean it's cheap and it works well enough so I hocked the other 40 and plan on buying another one from here"

"This is a get-what-you-pay-for clip, no doubt. Definitely cheap construction and they're a booger to get seated in my new mini-14 target edition, but once seated, it does lock in place nicely. Had zero jamming issues, 40 rounds went flying out as fast as I could pull the trigger, bolt locked back after last round just as it should, had to give the gun a little shake to drop the mag when I hit the release but it dropped right out. All things considered, I still say to look around for mags made by Triple K, they're $10 more but much better made and well worth it if you love that how-fast-can-I-blow-through-40-rounds feeling."

"I didn't expect these to work too well and mainly got one for testing. I only had a couple hang ups using the mag and was pleasantly surprised. Not as good as the 20-round ProMags and they are nearly impossible to use prone, but good just for grins."

"These magazines are the biggest piece of crap you can waste your money on. I got them and sent them back the same day. Don't waste your money or time buying these. One thing is for sure, even though the mags suck, Cheaper Than Dirt's customer service did not. These mags won't even seat in my Mini-14, but the customer service rep had me return them and I expect an exchange of a product that does work."
– Sorry I bothered

"These did not fit in a 2008 580 mini. Returned them, CTD customer service was good."

"I purchased one of these mag and it works pretty well. It holds the bolt open on the last shot and does a decent job of feeding the ammo.I loaded up 40 rounds of Wolf .223 and had some fun at the range. Makes a Mini look even cooler than it already is."

"I used one of these magazines in my Ruger Mini-14 and the clip latch plate on the magazine that is only held in with two pop rivets broke. I purchased two of these but from the shooting I did with the first one I will have to see how the second one works. The clip doesn\uFFFDt seem to seat well in my gun so every 2 or 3 rounds it jams. If you are a do-it-yourself kind of guy you can probably modify this magazine to work or you could just find a reliable 30 rounder and be happy."

"I have ordered 5 of these over the past year. All of them feed fine and hold capacity as stated, but I had to file all of them on the backside where the locking lip is located. It only took about 5 min on each mag to take off enough material for them to fit. All of them function fine and hold bolt open after last shot. They may take some work, so if you have the time it\uFFFDs worth the price, but they are not blued, they are black parkerized."

"I ordered one of these mags. Though it didn't function correctly, I made a call to CTD and customer service fixed the problem quickly. Thanks. The second mag works great."

"Not bad for the money. Always feeds well using PMC ammo in a 196 model. Didn't have to modify mag at all, plug & play."

"Bought two of these for my Mini-14. I went to the gun range and neither one works. They both fail to feed. I sent both back with no problems from C.T.D."

"This was a lump of crap, not worth the shipping and handling, let alone the price. Didn't fit, didn't feed, only reliable thing about it was how often it jammed."
