"The take down tool pictured is a bold tool. What is pictured is a bolt tool and three of the four notches are gauges that are sized so you can tell if the firing pin is properly setup. Unfortunately what is in the picture is not what I received. The takedown tool doesn't have the firing pin gauges cut into it."

"Over the Mosin Nagants long history, there have been many variations of the bolt tool. some are as shown, others more or less ressemble a screwdriver with a wooden handle. one must pull the metal piece out of the handle to use the firing pin gauges. there are only two or three older styles that do not have firing pin guages"

"I was hesitant about ordering this item, because of the \uFFFDwe cannot guarantee you will receive what is in the picture\uFFFD. I received everything in the picture. The only problem I have is that the tip of the cleaning jag is cracked off and the sling has some rust on the metal parts. All in all I am pleased with this purchase. It is a good deal for the price."

"I received my kit today and it looks great. Unfortunately, I got the kit just for the takedown tool with the firing pin gage. I received the takedown tool that does not have the firing pin gauges. Therefore, if you are ordering just for the takedown tool your chances are 50/50 or less. As for the kit, in general it is nice."

"I bought this because the Mosin-Nagant '44 carbine I bought at a gun show didn't include any accessories except the cleaning rod, and I just wanted a carry strap for it. I figured this low price is worth it for the strap, leather \"dog collars\", and leather ammo pouch alone. After reading some of the other reviews by disappointed shoppers, I was delighted to discover that my package included the elusive firing pin gauge/screwdriver shown in the image, and it also included all the cleaning tools shown - all covered in that disgusting orange commie cosmoline, but in great shape. But my big surprise was that the package didn't include the typical aluminum grease can shown in the image (which isn't much different from the grease cans I've seen packaged with SKS's and AK-47's), but instead a cool little antique-looking, brass, double-sided bottle (with spouts for both oil and solvent), which looks so unusual I'm tempted to say the bottle is probably worth a bit more by itself to collectors than the price that Cheaper Than Dirt charged for the complete accessory pack. The only thing I think could have improved this accessory pack is if Cheaper Than Dirt included some stripper clips with it, even if that meant charging a little more - but I bought the clips seperately and so I'm not complaining. Everything was in excellent condition, and I am completely satisfied with this purchase!"

"After reading some of the reviews below, I worried about ordering this but I needed the bolt tool w/ guages and wanted the pouches and oil bottle. I wasn't particularly looking forward to getting an aluminum single compartment bottle as I had seen some pretty nice brass dual compartment bottles. But beggars can't be choosers. Was i surprised when it arrived! The tools were exactly as pictured and the oil bottle was the brass dual compartment variety!Everything was in great condition. The sling looks almost brand new and the leather pouches show no signs of drying out or rotting. Perfectly servicable! I am glad I took the chance on ordering this. There are so many varieties of tools, stripper clips and other accessories out there for the Mosin that it will be hard to tell exactly what you will get. But my kit is a pretty nice piece of soviet post WWII history. It would only be better if it was Polish to match my Polish 1954 M44. Here is a link to information about the accessories available.http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/MosinAcc.htm"

"I purchased two of these and both looked the same as picture. Both sets are in great shape. The only thing that was different was that the oil bottle has two chambers on both of mine. On the one in the picture, there is only one chamber and mouth. That did not matter to me. It fits both my m-44 and m-91 well. Great by for anyone with Nagants."

"Well, i was shocked by the shipping, only about 3 days. When i opened the bow i was greated by the smell of old leather and cosmoline which actually wasn't that bad. So after inspecting the items i realized that everything listed was there. I grabbed my M44 and tried out the sling, it's adjustable so you can put it on one shoulder or across the back. The leather was all in excellent condition and nothing was ripped or bent. The cleaning tools were all there and none were rusted. The leather ammo pouches (which are connected) hold around 20 rounds in each pocket. The pouches have this wierd cone shape on a rod to close the straps, and also a belt loop or you can put it on the sling. The other pouch was leather and had a piece of old ribbon to wrap around the pouch to keep it closed. The oil bottle was the two compartment bottle, not the one pictured, and was covered in about a quarter inch of cosmoline which came off with a heat gun and about 30 minutes of work. Note, the cosmoline is inside the bottle too, but just about a teaspoons worth in both compartments. Overall, if you have a mosin nagant and want some accessories, get this, its worth about $50 and it's only $10, how can you beat that!!! But that aside, for $10, get this if you have a Mosin, if you dont have one, get the kit and find a dealer with a mosin."
