"Great pack, lots of space, great quality. I have nothing bad to say about this pack. Although I have yet to use it, I think it will hold up really well.It also looks REALLY cool, a plus for me. Lots of pockets, large pockets, and beefy zippers. All and all it is a cool pack."
"this is a really big backpack and would not buy it for school use but for camping, hiking, shooting, hunting, or any other out doors thing it is great the 2 straps on the front halp even out the load and it is well paded."

"Excellent pack. Holds a lot more than I thought it would. Worth every penny."
"Folks, For the money, this is the best bag I have ever had! In fact this is the 2nd one I have purchased. The first was the OD Green one. It lasted over a year as my "grip" on the rails. It has so many pockets and places to stash stuff it's outragious. I am able to fit a laptop, 3+ days of clothes, and electronic gear and more. I use my new one as an everyday bag. For some it might be a little big. But I like it. Big_J"
"Excellent pack. Comfortable and useful. There are more pockets and straps than what is described. Very heavy duty. Even has a pad for around the waist for comfort and support. Highly recommended!"
"great bag, lots of space. Good quality."
"I got to say this pack is great! I have tried to use the Molle Rifleman pack. And this pack blows it away for weight and room."
"I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PACK! SOLID IN THE FIELD. I DO A LOT OF HUNTING AND FISHING AND THIS PACK STANDS UP TO ALL THE WEAR AND TEAR OF THE OUTDOORS! THANKS CTD!!"

"This is an update from my last review. I have used this pack for camping with the Boy Scouts for the last year. This includes an 84 mile canoe trip, a 24 mile canoe trip, and camping at least once every month or more. The only problem is that the shoulder straps are really long so I have to sinch them all the way down, even so it is still a bit large. The reason why is because one, I am not a very big person, in fact I am pretty small. And two, It is designed to fit over body armor. All things considered it is a GREAT pack wall worth the money. Very large and lots of room."
"This pack is great! Lots of room and comfy to wear! only thing that hinders my perfect experience is the cords attached to the zipper, the pull cords come off pretty easily, so either gorilla glue them or do what i did, buy stretchy cord and sear it with a lighter. but great bag, got me around Europe as well as a few winter camping trips!"

"I bought this pack for hunting in Michigans Upper Penninsula. I can fit two pairs of coveralls in the main compartment. Then I carried water, facemask an extra sweater and socks and an mre and still had room for more stuff. Overall my pack weighed around 30 pounds. It held up better then expected for a week of hard hunting. The padding on the back is really excellent. Overall not one complaint here."
"This is a good pack but not the best out there. It can hold two changes of clothes, supplies, fire starters, first aid items, a rain poncho, a gun cleaning kit, a light blanket, a water filter and camp supplies. I keep it ready with a 3 day food supply and still have room for more. Get the external water reservoir (MOLLE-704) and attach it to the MOLLE webbing on the back of the pack, it will give you more room inside. I think its a good medium size pack bag. For the price you wont go wrong. Im glad I bought it."

"This bag is essentially the SAME as a bag from another brand but that other one has a water bladder included. For the price here, this bag cannot be beat! It's quite large with multiple compartments/pockets. I have used this as a travel bag overseas as well as a 2-3 day hiking pack. As to the build quality, it's very similar to the other brand...I own both and they're sitting next to each other now. Had I known, I would've bought two of this bag since it's less than half the cost of the other brand. Lastly, the MOLLE straps are not very well positioned. The other brand has a newer (and larger) version of this bag which has slightly better MOLLE placement."
"I'm here to revise my earlier review (just below...submitted on 2/11/10). Like the other users who experienced ripping/tearing due to the poor stitching, I had the same happen to me when I carried a 40lb load over the long President's Day weekend. Not only that, but the zipper teeth seem to be failing. I do NOT overpack my bags; in fact, I use this bag just like I have my other bag (which is a Camelbak BFM if you haven't guessed it by now) and the Camelbak is still holding strong after 3yrs of regular use. If you're looking for a sturdy bag, this is not comparable to the Camelbak. That's rather unfortunate seeing how affordable this bag is. I'm giving this review 1 star to balance out my previous review score. Bottom line: I cannot recommend this bag."
"I just received my pack this morning. This is my first time ordering from CTD, and I must say the service is great, as well as the products. This pack is definitely worth more than the price I paid. It's very durable and has storage space for every need. Thanks CTD!"
"The responce to the bad review below- This bag is not designed to carry 40lbs. A framed pack is more suitable for that purpose. It's a decent bag for the price..."
"Perhaps dimensions of packs are different than "normal", but when something is advertised as 20x19x12, I expect it to be able to hold something rigid of approximately those dimensions. I have a box that measures 18x13x5, well under-sized and it won't fit. I originally was looking for a pack frame, but this seemed like it would do the job. Realistically, it can hold something about 17x12x6. Other than that, it looks like it would be a good pack. Don't know because I immediately repacked it and made arrangements to return it. I gave it only a 1 because the dimensions make it a definite don't buy if you are looking for size."
"Its a good bag. i just bought one and have NO regrets. its not some fancy $300 bag with metal reinforcements, but for $60 its damn good. its got plenty of storage and holds my 24 pack of beer, bag of ice, fishing tackle (which I have a lot of) and can handle me on my bike going off road to get to my fishing spot. I can't ask much more for the money I'm very pleased. And may I add I'm rough on my gear except for the fishing pole. I just wish it had some insulation so I didn't have to bring as much ice with me. As for the people knocking it: suck it up and buy a $300 bag if you really need to."
"I've purchased a lot of packs over the years for camping, bug-out etc... and this pack, for the money, is the best I've seen. I've bought 3 for camping / hiking and the combined price for those 3 packs is about half the price of some of the other comparable sized packs out there on the market. There are plenty of pockets and straps to hold pretty much anything, a spot for a hydration bladder and the molle system makes it possible to add additional pouches, bags etc."
"I boutght this bag on my 3rd tour in Iraq back in 08 because the assault pack that they issue us is way to small for my mid-tour trip home. Since then I have used this bag for everything, and I mean everythig from vacations camping trips weekend backpacking trips and when on my motorcycle. This bag has been stuffed to the gills with well over 40lbs im sure and it's held together exceptionaly well. With that being said it has a couple minor flaws. 1: the zippers like to catch on the fabric when zipping it up if your not careful and 2: after about a year and a half the color started fading and now it has a pink look to it so no longer "army servicable" but still great bag for your girlfriend or daughter. But still outstanding bag for the price you pay.."
"Awesome bag... period! I travel very often and needed a bag to fit everything I carry with me. This was the perfect choice! It has buckle latches in the main pocket that will securely hold your folded clothes to prevent wrinkling. The main compartment also has much more room to carry other belongings, personally, I carry my laptop in it's carry case. Best bag I've owned hands down. I used to carry two bags with me everywhere I traveled and now this bag fits it all ! Thank you CTD !"
"Rugged, durable, easily adaptable and enough room for a ARMY SFC to carry to and through a tour of duty.Only issue I had was the easy rip off top back side inside the zipper area. I wish the mfg. would take some time to triple-sew some areas I had to burn-together to keep intact. Then again, no bag is perfect.Otherwise, the average 'Joe' will get their mileage from this pack. I beat mine up. Yet I think you will be happy with this very cleverly designed and made backpack. Get it!"

"I purchased this bag for hunting and camping. It seems to be holding up fine after a lot of use. There are a lot of features that I have not fully used yet, but I have had no problems with stiching or quality."
"I just got my tactical pack in the mail today. Shipping was very fast. I was surprised at how good the quality of this bag is. I did some research before ordering this model. It's nice and big with tons of features. It is built very tough. The best pack I've seen for the money- by far! I ordered some MOLLE gear to go with it. Two AR mag holders, water bottle pouch, Ipod/stuff bag, and the MOLLE0153 wallet. They all fit on awesome and I still have plenty of more room to expand and put on more accessories. The Digital camo looks great. This was my first time ordering from CTD. Great experience overall. I'll be ordering more stuff in the future. Thanks again, Mike"
"I bought this bag prior to deployment: Needed an additional bag. The ModGear Ultimate is a good bag: Roomy main bag, Good sized kidney pockets, and an ample butt pocket in back. There is a concealed, zippered pocket on front side that contacts the users back (very nice). The shoulder and hip straps and wide, comfortable, and well padded enough for long-range uses. The hip-strap assembly is removable. The bag's main material is durable and dries rather quickly. As with any bag, dirt, sand, and debris will accumulate in outdoor theater environments, but this is an outdoor bag, not a computer bag. So I dont recommend storing sensitive electronics in it. Sewing welds are good, while the zippers are phenomenally durable. Mil-Spec MOLLE hooks make add-ons a snap. My problem with the bag is tearing in the upper part of the bag (neck) where the canvas is sewn to the nylon. Storing over 15 lbs will drag the bags composition down so much in this bag, it stress to the top of the bag (interestingly, where the canvas is sewn to the nylon backing. Over time, this will result in ripping and expose your inner contents to the elements. This is serious design flaw with this particular bag. My suggestion is for ModGear to replace the paper-this nylon back (at least the upper-half, with a more durable fabric that can support weights greater than a few school books and lunch bag. While I like the bag, it needs improvement. For the student or casual backpacker, this is a fine bag. For those in the military trade, you may want to look elsewhere for now.Hooah!!"

"I ordered this as a bug-out-bag, and read the reviews thoroughly. I am happy so far with the room, quality, and comfort so far as I am loading and deciding how to optimize all the room and pockets. I plan to use it for a weekend camping/motorcycle trip this weekend, and will let ya'll know how it goes."

"This Bag is loaded with my Bug out gear, It rides with me in my truck and has held up well. seems to fit well and has held up well.thanks cheaper that dirt."
"This backpack is everything you could ask for in a 3 day pack! I could easily pack everything needed for a 3 day drill and put it on my back and go to drill on my motorcycle. I can also use this for day hikes and all weekend trips. It's an amazing backpack I would buy it all over again!"
"I bought this backpack in A.C.U I bought this backpack for a SHTF/BOB I would have preferred it in multicam, but couldnt bring myself to spend literally double just for multicam. For reference I am 6 200lbs.Where do we start. I love this backpack. -Backpack has straps 2 high and 2 low on the sides to help keep the profile down as well as secure the load to keep it from jostling too much during movement. A Eastwing camp axe fits well secured between a high and a low strap. The material seems sturdy enough, nothing lasts forever, but this exterior material seems like it will go the distance. Molle webbing on a good amount of the backpack. Shoulder straps and waist strap comfortable and supports the weight well. This pack can take weight. Has drag handle on each side as well as top and all are sturdily sewn on. Has 4 Molle webs on bottom designed for straps, I bought two and it holds my sleeping secure.-Main compartment (largest): Has 6 internal straps to hold down gear inside, this helps keep it from shifting around and redistributing weight while running with it on. Very roomy, fit 2 boxes of 50 10mm inside, 500 .22 multicam BDU pants and jacket, 2 person tent and hiking boots with room to spare. The main compartment also has 4 zippers, so that you can access whats on the bottom without having to dig (very useful). Interior wall has mesh zippered pocket/areas lining its entirety, designed to keep things organized, holes in the top with vecro flaps designed for camelbacks.-Second main compartment (second largest): This compartment shares a wall with the main compartment. The material lining the inside of this pocket feels flimsy, it has several divider type pockets on the inside made of the same material, these pockets are not meant for much abuse, this compartment would be good for anything soft, smooth and unabrasive, put anything in this pocket with sharp edges and it will rub a hole in it. This compartment has lots of divider like po"

"Bought this bag, like some others here, as a replacement for the under sized assault pack the Army issues. Have had it for 4 years and have only had 2 problems with it. First was the nylon portion at the top in between two sections. The flimsy nylon ripped apart But was easily fixed with some creative sewing (it takes a larger size machine, see the fellows in the rigger shop, if available, or take it to a local seamstress/alteration shop to sew the two seams together). The second problem is that the buckle for the waist band will not hold up to being run over with an MRAP (but then again what will). I simply removed the waist band, I don't use it any way, and have been using it ever since. GREAT bag. I will be buying 3 more for family members."
"This is the perfect B.O.B, especially for those who aren't afraid to get down and dirty. This pack has all the room you need for a 3day recon mission. This pack can definitely take a beaten! I've had mine for quite a while now and haven't had a single problem with it. This pack is much larger than standard issue packs and I find it to be better built. It is surely much more comfortable to pack around than standard issue packs. I would definitely recommend fellow men and women in the Armed Forces to upgrade their standard issue packs to this one with no fear or regrets. You'll be glad you've done so in the long run, better yet long march!!"

"This bag is awesome! I purchased 3 of these when CTD had them for $59.00. I have 2 for B.O.B. and one for the range. They hold tons of stuff, have LOTS of compartments and are super comfy. The backing comes with a stiff insert with padding that sits against your back. Its really nice and the belts cinch up nice. The stitching seems to be very high quality and it seems that these bags will last a very long time. I really like the MOLLE feature also. You can't get a better bag in my opinion.I will be buying more of these!"
"This bag replaces my former BOB. My previous bag was a very large tail hiking bag. I have been able to transfer all my survival gear to this bag with room to spare. So far I have been able to fit: 2 shirts, socks, underwear, 1 water proof gloves, 1 water proof socks, 1 emergency thermal blanket, 1 sleeping blanket external, 2 portable stoves (one w/external MOLLE pack) w/24 fuel cubes, 1 military canteen cup, 2 canteens, external pouches, 2 plates, 1 cup, eating utensils, 1 Med kit, 1 water filtration system, 1 portable LED lamp, 2 candles, 1 fire starting kit, 1 Rope, 1 portable solar power kit w/batteries. I still have room for more items in the main compartments. I also have two large external pouches that I will use for freeze dried food. This bag is AWESOME!"
"Nice bag....but my only complaint is the metal hole caps on the bottom fell right out of it after a few months of having it....Be careful on this one...."
"Package came very quickly and I was pleasantly surprised by the large size and quality of the product. A very heavy duty backpack with tons of room and features. Using this for an updated BOB it took everything in my old kit and had tons of room to spare. I even tested it's durability by loading it down with various ammo (40+lbs) and hauling it to the range and it stood up well. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a heavy duty pack for camping, the range, or BOB etc."
"this bag exceeded my Expectations it's huge! I would buy this bag again"
– Scott Hughes
"I've had this bag for almost a year - it is solid. About to buy another one for BOB for the vehicle and while this is way too big, I've almost convinced myself for the value, why not! You'll be very happy with this bag."
"I had purchased this bag before but it got stolen, it was very big and handled everything I threw in it very well. I liked the one I had so much that I had to buy a new one when my old one got stolen. I recommend this bag to everyone I know."
"Very impressed with this bag, I use it for hunting and it's the best bag I've ever purchased. High quality straps and webbing,"
