"Quality build. Comparable to outer shell of IBA. Less difficult to adjust than an IOTV. Fits most soft armor. Pocket will only fit medium and small SAPI plates. Larger plates fit between soft armor and outer layer. Much darker than picture."

"I purchase the \"Coyote Tan\" vest hoping it would be brown actually, and it is \"Coyote Brown.\" Gave me plenty of room for my kit with some room to spare. The quick release works decent enough, it'll fall apart with a little extra tugging on the vest into 3 pieces; front, back, and pull cord. Goes back together easy enough, I actually found the instructions to be relatively short and effective. At it's smallest size setting it'll fit a medium regular with room to spare for some thicker clothing. With a little work you can put it on and take it off like a shirt, no weird semi-side entry like the expensive competition. Bang on and for a bargain in my opinion."

"I picked this vest up as an alternative to the HSS Plate Carrier, and I have been surprised to its quality and build. This vest appears to be very durable and comfortable with great gripping pads on the shoulders. The only downside to this vest is that the real-estate space on it went up quick, and was limited in other areas. Due to my size (6'0, 150lbs) I had to drop it down to the lowest size for it to be snug (without plates, overtop my ACU Jacket). I was still able to put double M4 mag pouches on the chest, so I'm able to carry 10 there comfortably, and a triple pistol mag pouch above that, though I may need to relocate some things to make my Admin Pouch fit better. The back of the vest has plenty of room for what ever you may need. Currently I have a hydration pack, radio pouch and a large utility pouch all webbed in, and I may add a gadget pouch or Flashbang pouches back there to. The quick release function is also easy to figure out, and put back together. This is also how the vest adjusts as well. Overall I'd say this vest is a great choice, but it does take up a large portion of your chest, so your gun butt may be resting on it instead of your shoulder, as it would with lower profile plate carriers. The color of this vest is actually darker than this picture, appearing as a Coyote Brown, and matched the rest of the coyote tan gear I got from this site. Also the vest is made by Condor so it is constructed with 1000 D material. As always CTD got it to my location very fast, so I am pleased with that as well."

"This vest did not hold up. I put a hydration pouch on the back with 100 rounds of 7.62. Halfway into my first patrol with it, the shoulder straps let loose. The support for the plates and the outershell are separate, and it could not take the weight on the shell. Had to 550 the straps while on a combat patrol after taking contact. Was a pretty bad situation to find myself in. Going to try to return but I am sure they wont take it because of the 550. If you buy it then do not put any weight on the molle."

"As others have said, this vest is darker than what is pictured. I thought the vest looked a little cheaply made from the picture, I was wrong. I was also worried that it might not fit me. I'm 6ft and pushing 300lbs, I actually had to tighten the vest up a little, even with my plates inserted. Now that I know what to expect, (quality wise) I'm about to order a couple of things to attach to it. Ive visited the CTD store a few times, but this is my first mail order. Thank you CTD for the fast shipping."

"Ordered on a Sunday night, arrived on Thursday with standard ground delivery. Super fast. I immediately loaded it with soft armor panels and a few pouches, took no time to adjust to my fit. 6'4\" 230 lbs. very comfortable and easy to use. Will be a huge asset as an active shooter vest and emrgency response use while off duty. I have already recommended it to my agency and fellow deputies as a must have. I did notice the price raised by $20.00 since I ordered it, good timing on my part but still would pay for it."

"As an active duty Marine, we get issued OTV combat vests. We train with these until we get deployed, where we'll be receiving actual MTV plate carriers. But until then, I bought this ModGear plate carrier, which is relatively close in look of the real MTV. So far, it's held up great. I placed a hydration pack on the back, three magazine pouches (holds two each), two grenade pouches, IFAK, multi-tool pouch, and a dump pouch. It's been holding up VERY well and have had nothing wrong with it. Until they issue me an MTV for deployment, I'll be using this plate carrier."

"Picked this rig up for some CQB competition/SHTF rig and I gotta say, I'm super impressed! I was expecting a far lower quality. I would put this not much under the eagle that I have, and for a lot less money. So far, I have put a few hours on it loaded with six loaded 30 rd PMAGs, three 8 rd .45 1911 mags, three 17 rd 9mm mags, my 9mm in a Serpa holster cross draw, a full med pouch, and a Camelback MOLLE hydration pouch, along with ar500 steels, no issues yet. Just for giggles, I did a 15k E&E fully loaded to see how it held up, since one guy says it gave him grief. No issues."

"If I could have gotten my hands on one of these for this price when I was in Iraq, I wouldn't have thought twice.I ordered two of these on a Wednesday afternoon and they were waiting on my porch Thursday evening when I got home, with standard shipping. I'm a pretty small guy (5'10\", 150 lbs) and I was able to adjust this down to fit me perfectly after taking a few minutes to figure it out (didn't come with instructions). The only potential downside I see (and I could be going about things wrong) is that, to put it on, it seems like you would need to raise the front flap to attach the Velcro cummerbund each time. With a full combat load of mags up there, that could get difficult. I'm sure it will get easier with some practice, or maybe someone could set me straight on the correct way to go about it."
