MultiCam was developed by Crye Precision as a universal camouflage that is able to adapt to a wide variety of environments. The reflective nature of the pattern causes it to change apparent color depending on the surrounding environment. Special fabrics and coatings help it to blend in under various lighting conditions across both the visible and IR spectrums. The infrared spectrum camouflage makes this pattern effective even when viewed with night vision equipment.

Referred to as OEF Camouflage (Operation Enduring Freedom Camouflage), the MultiCam pattern ha s become adopted by the US Army and other NATO forces participating in the ongoing military campaign in Afghanistan. Because it was developed for the US military, all MultiCam products are made in the USA. All clothing and uniform components utilizing the MultiCam pattern are fire resistant and use no melt, no drip Cordura fabric.

"I bought this a few months ago for range and weekend use. I knew I wouldn't need to hang a ton of stuff on my back, plus I live in Texas and I want my back to be able to breath in the summer (and spring and autumn). The fit is excellent, I'm about 6'3\" 180 and it easily tightened down to fit me well, but it would easily fit someone that weighs 100 lbs more. There is more than enough MOLLE to carry all your mags, dump pouch, etc. and the weight is well distributed and comfortable to carry. The stitching and material is pretty heavy and durable and the internal pockets are pretty big. The 2 internal mag pockets (on the sides) will easily fit 30-round AK mags (AR mags swim a little without newspaper or something in the bottom). I would definitely suggest having something rigid (mags in the pockets, or just fill up the front) on the ends or it might flap around a little. I've had no problems shooting and moving with it. If you don't need a full vest or just want a more breathable rig, you really can't go wrong with this one, especially at the price."

"Despite what the description says, this is most certainly NOT US made. It's still a condor imported from china, with the tags still all over it. Whether or not any and all multicam products will/may be domestic, it either hasn't happened yet or is untrue. Besides that, it's of the typical condor quality. Nowhere near US made quality, but a decent, inexpensive import alternative. I'm taking a bullet off of 5 because these are definitely not made us thin guys. If you have any kind of gut, it'll fit you fine. But if you're built long and lean (6-1, 170 on a bad day), you'll nearly run out of adjustment on the waist strap. I have it cinched nearly as much as possible to keep from swimming in it. This is all over just a t-shirt, of course. There is probably a total of 18-24\" of loose straps flapping around behind me. You can of course cut off the excess, or try and use the included velcro straps to keep everything neat. I haven't actually used this yet, just received and tried on, but the quality should hold up well to any classes or outings you have."
