"Received this in 2 business days and was extremely pleased with the quality of the vest. I purchased this vest as a load bearing tactical vest for rapid deployment situations with my AR. I was able to fit two second chance ballistic panels in both the front and rear compartment with no problems. I also purchased two of the MOLE AR Mag holders and they fit extremely tight with no sloppiness. I will be purchasing more accessories for this vest from Cheaper than Dirt. Save your money and go with this vest."

"I recieved this vest the other day and for a guy whose 5'8" and 240 it fit amazingly well even with ballistic plates in. I also purchased some Molle poches for it and everything fits snug and secure. My only beef is that it doesnt have holders to attach the vest to a belt or harness system, but it does have a huge internal flap system that keeps the vest from riding high and excessive moving. A great bargain. Money well spent."

"Well made Plate Carrier. but a little on the large side. but the internal flap was a good idea keeps it form riding up or moving to much with a full load. All and all pretty good carrier for the money. Just gotta get some tailoring dont to it."

"Got this two weeks ago (very fast, btw) with two 12-round shotgun shell pouches. I'm a little guy (5'5" 175) so it's a little big, but I've already worn it to serve several felony warrants. Worked great, fit great, and feels great with a level IV SAPI plate and two Point Blank ballistic panels. I certainly recommend this item for any law enforcement or military operator who works in high-threat areas. The only thing I would change is to add a scoop in the front so the vest doesn't jab you in the throat when sitting for extended periods. I will try to convince my Task Force team leader to purchase these for all the members of our team as soon as CTD gets more in stock. Thanks CTD!!"

"Got my vest last week and it is by far the best vest I have ever worn!!! I put both my soft bullet proof vest inserts in (front and back) plus a 10 x 12 SAPI plate in front. With all that it got a bit bulky so I removed all the padding and it is perfect!!! Also removed the stitch that seperates the side M-16 mag pouches on each side to acommidate 5 x 8 plates. We are tring to get this vest for all the guys at my unit as well!!! Well worth it!!! The inner cumberbun really helps hold the vest tightly against your chest. Why buy a Paraclete when this is by far cheaper and just as good!!!"

"This product is very good. I am a police officer and use the vest on raids and search warrants. I have put in my own body armour and have never had a problem with the flexibility of the vest with my armour. One thing to change is the neck, a smaller V would work perfect. Adding that I can add and shape the vest in what ever way I see fit for a call out makes the vesatility of the vest that much more. In tactical training I have used the vest for body drags...no problems, live fire shooting...no problem, and rope work...no problem, This vest is a exellent buy."

"Very nice product, great price. There is velcro on the top of the front and back for attaching ID. Inside mesh pocket for extra ammo or documents. The drag strap on the back is strong, it held up to dragging around my 195lb frame last time out training. Endless MOLLE attachments are available to set it up how you want. I took out the padding on the inside and replaced it with two second chance ballistic panels and it fits and works great!! Great product for a quick throw on raid vest for LEO."

"First, i ordered the vest and accessories on 31208 and recieved them on 31408 very fast and accurate shipping! I bought this vest to replace my old SAPI carrier that ran in the area of $300 . The CTD vest is a REAL vest, not some wimpy mesh zip up thing its the real deal, combat ready product!! The CTD vest is very sturdy, and fits well, I'm 5'11 and 248 lbs and after adjusting the shoulders it fit perfectly! there is alot of room with regards to molle straps to personalize the vest to the operators needs. The M4 pouches that are intergrated on the side of vest are cool to have but tacticaly would probably never be used for ammo so I throw my edged tools in there and they fit well. The inner elastic belt is very cool because it keeps the vest in place. My only gripe is when sitting in back of the van the squarenes of the vest hits you in the throat while sitting but its not a big deal. wish i would have bought this vest sooner and save time and money. If you want a REAL combat ready vest this is the one operators!!! thank you again CTD for another quality product!!"

"I purchased this vest after searching other sites and saw that other LBE's or MOLLE vests were well over the $200.00 mark. Everything attaches to it nicely and customizing it for your needs is easy to do. I bought this for the situations that may arise such as an active shooter, & where dept. issue isn't going to be enough. The Level IV plate I have fits well inside of the pocket, just haven't figured out how to secure it in the pocket so it stays high in the vest. I am 6'00", and 240lbs., and it fits well after adjusting it to where it needs to be. The only reason I gave it four bullets is because it would be better if there was more material where the velcro attaches to the sides. Great gear all in all! Thanks Cheaper Than Dirt!"

"I'd been looking for a MOLLE carrier for work for a while and came across a good number of positive reviews of this one in my search. I'll admit I was lured in by the price. Most other soft body armor MOLLE carriers are 2-3 times as much. I work plainclothes and only wear armor infrequently when serving warrants so I hated the idea of dropping big bucks on something that wouldn't be seeing day in and out use. Initial assessment is pretty good. Construction is good. Materials seem sturdy and everything is put together well. I was actually surprised how solid the carrier feels. My Second Chance Monarch panels dropped into it with no problems. The Blackhawk and Maxpedition pouches I got went on with no issues either and feel very solid. The couple of minor issues I had concern armor coverage. First off, this isn't a huge vest. I'm 5'11" and about 220. Not thin by any means but not huge either. The vest is comfortable for me but I don't have a lot of room to play with. Side coverage suffers. I can see why guys were removing the stitching between the mag pockets and dropping in extra armor panels. That's actually what I'm doing now as well. The vest doesn't fit as closely as my concealed carrier and leave a gap in the armor when closed. Dropping in the smaller soft trauma plates into those pockets will cover it though. Luckily they're pretty cheap. The other issue is hard trauma plates. The vests are designed for SAPI plates and the pockets are way too big for concealed plates. I ended up using some 100mph tape and affixing mine to a cardboard backing so they'd sit correctly in the SAPI pocket. Jury rigged for sure but it seems to work fine, provides the hard plate protection in teh right place now, and no one sees it anyway.Overall though, it's a solidly built, inexpensive vest that allows for the attachment of whatever pouches you need, where you want them. Worth it for the money as long as you keep in mind the limitations and what its designed for."

"The entry armor issued to me by my department was far too heavy and bulky, limiting my movement. Great protection but I'd like to be able to move particularly over a long period of time. I bought this vest on the recommendation of some of the other guys on my squad and I couldn't be happier. It does what it says and is made of good materials, It has plate pouches on the interior back and front large enough for a large 10"x12" SAPI. After removing the padding inserts it was more than enouigh room for two sets of standard body armor panels. The adjustment starps are large and the velcro is strong as hell. the only thing I would recommend is to add at least one more gator-clip strap to both sides. The Molle webbing fits snug but can be put on with your fingers (get the molle gizmo from Magpul and save a ton of time). Overall a great vest, i've used it for training the day i got it and it made a huge difference in my mobility and endurance. Made by Mil-Spec Plus."

"As the equipment guy for our SWAT Team I have looked at/tried many different carriers. I purchased only one of these to see what I thought and was very impressed. I took the armor out of our current vest and it fit right in this carrier. I wore it to our last training day and let the guys try it out. I wore it all day and was very impressed with the range of movement it allowed. By the end of the day, I was asked where it could be purchased as a lot of the guys wanted to buy one out of their own pocket. We will be buying more of these. As a team with a very limited budget, we have been restricted from buying a lot of the high dollar vest carriers. For the price, this vest stands up against all the others that I have tried including some of the very expensive models. Don't waste your budget on high priced vest carriers until you try these, I think you will be impressed."

"I was very skeptical and put off buying this vest due to the price....thinking it would be a cheap knock off as it would not last a drill much less a call out. I got home after going off duty one afternoon to find it on our dining room table, I was shocked to find my wife had purchased it for me and was I WRONG IN MY THINKING! Its a very well built vest, fit very well plenty of adjustments, fit my plate and panels fine, lots of room for my pouches and hydration and I can honestly say I like far better than my well known name brand tactical vest! Thanks CTD"

"This vest is very nice. It's made of thick, strong, and padded material. Just by the feel you can tell it's a durable product. The webbing is strong, and it fits nice and snug, unlike my other 2 vests. The shoulder straps are padded, which is nice, and on the inside it an adjustable velcro belt that really makes the vest feel snug and comfortable. Only downside is it's a little on the heavy side, but with 6 mags in front, a hydration pouch, and a shotgun scabbard with shotgun, the vest still feels comfortable and you still have lots of mobility."

"This carrier is great. All of our SWAT medics are wearing them and you can not beat the price. Plenty of MOLLE space as well. We all added a paracord loop on the tabs to get the vest on a little quicker and easier. If you buy one you will know what I am talking about. You can also slip 5x7 soft armor in the sides as well. All you have to do is undo the side mag pouches, which I don't think would work well for AR mags anyway. The front and back of the carrier can hold lots of armor, if you armor is too small, you can tape them where it needs to go onto the soft padding that comes in the vest. If you have shoulder armor, it will go on as well over the shoulder straps. Highly recommended!"

"I ordered this vest sceptical of it's quality compared to the more expensive vests. But compared to my co worker's hundred dollar carrier it is completely the better deal. I feel I can trust my life to this vest and the armor it carries. CTD, always with the good deals"

"Ive had this vest for almost a year now and it has held up pretty nicely. Stitching looks great quality over all is top notch.I also have stand alone plates front and rear and at first was very displeased on the placement of the plates to the point where I was ready to buy another carrier. But then I took out the padding and found another hidden pocket that was meant for the plates, this time the plates were exactly where I wanted them, and now with the padding behind the plates its also more comfortable. The pocket for the plates were very sung and tight my plates are 10x12 and absolutely no movement which is what I wanted.Wish they would have supplied an instruction manual."

"It seems to be solid so far, fit my aba extreme panels well, only complaint is that my sapis seam a little loose, and a little too low, unless theres a pocket for them i missed when putting it together, I popped the stitches on the side pockets and put small trauma pads in them."

"I used this vest to get my bail out bag converted into a plate carrier, and this thing is great. The vest is very well made and holds up great. Im 64 and it fits me just fine, Im about a 36 inch waist no problems with the size. I put a set of soft armor in it and it holds it well, the side covers are a nice feature. I have all kinds of equipment and ammo on this thing and when you put it on it does outstanding in distributing the weight. Good buy, great price."

"I originally bought "ModGear Basic Vest, Army Digital MOLLE Style Webbing on Front and Back with a Mesh Lining" to build on as my tactical vest and it was OK, but my buddy got this vest and totally changed my mind. After comparing my old vest to this one i felt like i was wearing a toy. So i bought this. This vest is AMAZING! Plenty of extras and tons of molle webbing. It feels extremely secure and comfortable. Well made and strong. Don't waste your money on something cheaper, get this vest first and you won't be dissapointed. LOVE IT!!!"

"Very nice vest, found the hidden pockets for the rifle plates behind the padding.. I am 6 feet tall, 36inch waist, and the inner waist support is actually riding my stomach, not my waist! I even adjusted it all the way up (upper straps)..overall a nice carrier. Will try the other molle carrier vests, but a very nice piece for the price. PS: add front/rear plates/side plates and soft armor and 4 mag pouches you will be carrying close to 80lbs! Hope you are in shape!!! Awesome buy for the price! Keep the prices low C.T.D! THANKS."

"Absolutely excellent piece of kit.I was pleasantly suprised at the heavy duty stitching, ease of fitment, materials and overall design of this vest.My X-tream soft armor panels fit perfectly and my ceramic plates are held tight and steady. The adjustable cumberbund is a very good addition that many carriers of this type do not offer. The quality is exceptional - at any price. My breacher picked me up off the floor and shook me by the drag handle - and I'm 6'2" and 220.My only additional recommendation for the design would be to add one more adjustment strap on each side panel - but that's a very, very minor concern as it fits damn well and is very secure as is.I conduct multiple overseas training and operational missions each year and have found nothing superior at this time to this piece of gear.Simply outstanding!Dean HutsonLTC, US ArmyCommanding5150th Special Marksmanship Unit"

"I bought this vest a couple months ago in coyote tan and I have not had a problem with it since. With a little modification it can even hold side plates. While my co-workers bought similar vests close to several hundreds of dollars, I saved a bunch of money and this vest does exactly what I need it to do: retain ballistic plates and MOLLE gear. Thank you CTD."

"This is a great vest. I have a smaller frame 5'10" 185 lbs., and it adjusted perfectly to fit me. I do agree with the others that are saying a slight V or U shape under the throat would be nice, if you are sitting for a period of time. Also the side pouches hold my AR mags just fine. I am 110% satisfied with this. I highly recommend this.I love it and will be ordering another for my father."

"This plate carrier is a great value. Good stitching on the webbing, durable design and fits right. Fits all my MOLLE pouches & attachments. Side pouches aren't great for magazines, but no big deal (I wouldn't run my magazines there anyway)."

"Well made vest but does accommodates soft body armor around the shoulders or around upper part of chest. This vest is really just made for hard plates. Since it's one size, it doesn't fit small frames all that well."

"This is a good vest I am 150 pounds and fit well could go up too 210 or so, and fit the standard plates front and back. You can even cut the side mag slots and put in sapi plates... The problem is why would they put a buckle on your firing shoulder, and the butt stock doesn't lie flush on it when firing AR-15.... So I have to figure out a way to cut away at that spot for an even sweet spot..... Other than that no gripes, fits well and plenty of room."

"I bought this vest as a raid vest for when I do more hazardous recoveries, and it has worked very well! It does, however, have a few cons, notably the vest being a bit too long to wear with a regular duty belt and it chafes the neck. The only improvements would be to shorten it by about 2 inches and make it a scooped neck, so the wearer can sit in a car comfortably."

"Outstanding vest for a great price. The stitching on the webbing is very sturdy and was able to hold all of the pouches and holders I had to attach to it. The size difference in the adjustments makes this vest usable by a wide range of body type. I highly recommend this vest to anyone and everyone look for a tactical vest."
