"To those of you who are looking for the best scope value for the money, then you have found it. I have 4 TRS-1 scopes on rifles ranging from bolt actions to M1A's and an H&K 91. This scope has yet to fail to amaze me. The adjustments are infinitely repeatable and the optics are unbelievably clear. The night vision setting is awesome for use by those that need to use night vision. I will go so far as to say that I have traded or sold all my other scopes and replaced them with the Millett scopes of 2 different models the TRS-1 and the Buck Gold version, both side focus. I have never had to use the warranty, but I have spoken to the folks at Millett and found them to be very professional and helpful.Something you don't see everyday is a scope that has 74 vertical MOA that is this clear and useable for this kind of money. I would have no problem putting this scope right next to any of the other "high end" tactical scopes in Iraq and I would never feel any disadvantage. I am in no way connected with Millett, I just believe in sharing my experience with a great product.Sincerely,Jimbo"

"Excellent quality scope at an affordable price. Bright, clear optics with very positive click adjusting wind & elev. turrets. Super sturdy side focus knob is a pleasant attrubute. Millett has a strong reputation for quality and this scope is no exception...I only hope that CTD will restock on this item soon and manage to keep the price low!"

"In a nutshell this is a DARN GOOD SCOPE! You cannot go wrong here! Initially I was looking at the Nikon Monarch line of optics because i am going to shoot 500+ yards on this weapon normally. While I have not gotten this out to 500 yards yet, it is very good at 350 yards. Images are sharp, and Mil-Dots are accurate. I was sceptical at first if this weapon would handle my platform (Shooting Barrett 99 - 50BMG), so I contacted Millett directly. When i spoke to them they told me "by all means it should be able to take the beating, and assured me if it failed it would be in warranty". I was still not 100% convinced, but knew that at the least I could get it in and put it on my .22-250 if it busted.I took it to the range and pounded 24 rounds through my 50BMG (750 Grain) with it, and it never wavered. The first initial shots were to get it on paper, and the remaining shots were to "zero" it at 200 Yards. The Illumination is great, their are plenty of settings on it from super low (nv) to very bright (10). Adjustments are very smooth and click nicely at 1/8 MOA (100 yards), however remember that one FULL turn is 9" at 100 Yards... It takes some getting used to. Another great easy to use feature is the "range finder / focus", this really helps out as well.At 100 Yards on full power it's almost a little too much power, you should ideally back it off to around 12x so that you can get a wider view of the target and the surrounding area, on full power at 200 yards it's just zero'd in nice.I would recomend GOOD solid mounts for this, with the 50mm objective lens you should get HIGH mounts at least, if not the VERY HIGH. I got the Burris Xtreme Tactical (HIGH) mounts and my scope sits about 1/8" off the rails, so it's pretty close. Shooting revealed that my face had to be pushed onto the weapon a little bit, but since my weapon is flat from the rails all the way back (unlike regular rifle which has a drop) this is something i have to deal with. "I ordered this scope as an entry-level optic for the Remington 700 I am building to be a replica of the USMC M40A1 rifle (hard to afford a Leupold Mark 4 or Schmidt & Bender on my salary), and I had planned to start off with this scope and work my way up to being able to afford one of the high-end models. After having scope dropped, repeatedly fired and taking the beatings of a .308, I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. The features of the TRS-1 match all of the high-dollar models, and the TRS-1 is solidly built. This has to be one of the best-kept secrets in the world of tactical rifle scopes, and after receiving mine I honestly thought CTD has incorrectly labeled the price (I was expecting another zero at the end!). I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a top-quality tactical scope on a budget. Or, heck, if you can afford a Schmidt & Bender or one of the other models, get one of these too. You can't go wrong!"

"After careful consideration and hours spent trying to find a decent scope that I didn't have to take a loan out for, I decided I'd give this scope a try. I was looking for a good scope to go on my brand new Alexander Arms 6.5 Grendel upper matched to a Rock River match lower AR. I had always heard and been told to expect to pay a lot for a good scope. However, I had issues with paying as much (or more) for a scope as I did for the gun it was going upon. And like many others out there, I'm always looking for a good bargain for my hard earned money. This scope happens to be one of those bargains. Is it as good as a Leopold or a Nightforce? Maybe not. But it is worth every penny, and then some, for what you pay for it. If you are looking for a very good scope and just do not want to (or not able to) pay $1200 - $1600 for it, this scope is for you. In a World full of increased prices for poor quality items, this scope bucks that trend and continues to amaze me everytime I use it. Look no further, you had better get your order for one in now."

"I do not own this scope but will purchase it as soon as it comes available. A buddy has one and let me test it out. The clairity rivals Leapold, eye relief great, dials are solid, its bright, holds zero and the price is outstanding. If I didn't know the manufacturer I would have said it was one of the big names at 3x's the cost."

"I have talked with many of my friends in Law Enforcement and Special Ops. They love this scope. I just got mine today and must say it looks like a 1000 dollar scope. I can see my target even at very low light which is very important. I will be putting it on a Tikka T3 rifle in .308. I will update after a few trips to the desert."

"I think so. I was in fierce deliberation between getting this or a Falcon Optics Menace series. I must say, I'm very impressed with this scope. Not only in its fit and finish, but also in its performance at the range. In overcast conditions the optics were very clear and bright with the crosshairs easily standing out from the targets.Zeroing-in this scope was a breeze at 100yds. Be advised, however, that this scope uses *1/8th MOA CLICKS* not 1/4 as the product description says. Once it was zeroed it stayed there the rest of the afternoon making sub-inch groupings much to my delight. All the knobs have a very positive and fluid feeling. Very easy to grasp and the clicks are very easy to feel and lock positively in place very easily. The magnification knob was a bit stiff, but with a little more use it will probably loosen up a bit. The locking elevation and windage knobs are a nice touch, but will probably never see any use from me since I won't be sludging through the jungle on my belly any time soon. The lit reticule does have some issues with light bleeding in on higher settings, but with the image being as clear as it is, it will probably never see anything past the 3rd or 4th click. As with most mid-range optics, the flip-up covers are cheap and the springs barely hold them up. A size 14 and 33 cover is what you need to solve that issue.I could go on, but I don't think there's much reason to. You won't regret buying this scope. I know I sure don't."

"After researching this scope for quite a while I decided I needed it to replace the scope that came with my Remington 700.I mounted it with some Millett 30mm tactical medium height rings, and headed to the range to site it in. I was hitting a man sized target at 500 yards. The turrets make a nice defined click when moved. The side focus is great but I wish it had some greater resolution. The glass is clean and clear. The illumination is good. All I ever use is the highest illumination setting during the day. The only thing I dont like is how hard it is to change the battery, its just difficult to get the threads started when screwing it back in. It is not too hard it just takes 5 minutes of frustration. The rear flip up lens cap seems to come off a little too easy. If all you need is a durable scope for targets or hunting that doesnt brake the bank get this and you'll be happy."

"This scope was great at first. I mounted the first one on my AR 10 it looked great. Took it out to the range the time after bore sighting it, I could not find paper until I moved up to 10 yards. Had to go back to basics with the scope. I set the cross hairs to center and got it shooting out to two hundred yards and then lost center. The cross hairs fell apart internally. Lucky for me I bought 3 scopes. I put on a second one and was shooting with that scope. It worked great until it started to rain then the scope fogged up and filled with water. I had about six Millet scopes. I took them off of all the rifles that I had one on and threw them in the trash. I found them to be as unreliable as a BSA. If you want scopes for looks and fun in a controlled climate, they are good scopes. Personally I would not go anywhere that you need to rely on these scopes. In my opinion, spend the extra few bucks and get a quality scope."

"I bought mine knowing it was a gamble, being as the early reviews were spotty at best. Those that had them either loved or hated them. I gave it a try anyway and am really pleased so far. After 500 rounds the thing still holds zero like a champ. The turrets track true though they are soft at times. If you want a reliable scope for general applications like target, varmint or even competition this is a good scope for the money. If you want a scope you feel you can risk your life or the lives of others with Leupold, or USOptics may be a better choice."

"Well, I bought one because of the reviews. Finally Got my Rifle for this scope. A Howa Axiom in 308. Got to the range and on the third shot it looked like the glass cracked. So I decided to keep shooting anyway. The next round the crack disappeared. After 9 more rounds again the spot that looked like a crack showed up. I looked closer and found that there is someting inside the scope was floating around, and would show up every few rounds. I called the manufacture and I am going to return to them for repair or EXCHANGE I hope. We'll see how this works. I really liked the scope. Hope it all works out. Other than the problem this is a nice scope."

"As promised, here's my updated review after some more range time. Reason for 4 bullet rating - this is a beast of an optic, especially on an M-4...but it does the job quite nicely. Here's the basics, 100 yds., I had 3 shot grouping's that were less than 4 tenths of inch, basically key-holed. Had 5 shot grouping's that were just as tight. 200 and 300 yard shots were just as respectable after adjusting to slight drop. Have no problem's with this optic what-so-ever. 70 mile drive to and from range in a soft case in my back-seat, still on zero. This may be ridiculously overkill on an M-4, but on a full sized precision oriented rifle, this should fit the bill nicely, and at an agreeable price. Side-focus works very well, clarity is nice, eye-relief can get a touch sensitive at higher power, but nature of the beast I guess. No problems with fogging, going from 68 degree basement to high 80's - low 90's outside. In summary, for the price, this is a very nice piece of glass with good features. If you do your part, this will deliver the goods, I just wish I could show my targets to visually verify those statements."

"I bought this scope because I had heard good things about Millett. Still, I did not know what to expect. But when the scope arrived I was very pleasantly surprised. It is quite rugged, and the optics are very good- surprisingly clear in low light. I had mounted it on my M1A and the scope held zero, no problems. Are there better scopes out there? Yes, but you would pay serious big $$ for something of this quality. Again, consider that you're getting great optics, magnification, solid casing, all at a bargain basement price. The great folks at CDT really delivered on this one."

"I agree with the previous reviews. Buy this or spend more than twice the money for not much better. Was surprised when I opened the box and found "scope sock," shade, and front/rear flip covers."

"First off, myself and some friends have been ordering from CTD for several years. They have always have had great customer service. I bought this scope after a recommendation from a friend, and some research for a scope to put on my new Savage B.Mag in .17 WSM (Winchester Super Magnum). After receiving the scope, it passed all my expectations in quality, clarity, etc."

"This is by far the best scope for the money. It rivals nikon in clarity. Super fine reticle for absolute precise shots. Built solid as a rock. Put the trs1 4-16x50 on my rem700 .223 and will probably buy another to go on my .17hmr"
