"I recently purchased one of these night vision cases for my 35mm camera gear. And I am writing this review to caution anybody thinking about buying this case. Outside of case: covered in dust and some thick black substance, so I cleaned it up to find lots of large scratches, missing paint, and 3 medium size dents. The case basically needs repainted. When I went to pop the 6 clasps they would not open completely frozen shut, so after some oiling and some playing with it they finally opened. The case appears to have a hinged lid on-line but is really made to come completely off. (Not so good for my camera use) I also found that the built in relief valve was stuck shut, not that I was going to use it anyway... Inside of case: I opened the case to find the advertised foam inserts had been ripped out leaving some bits of foam and allot of adhesive to clean up. Then I noticed the rubber seal on the lid was almost completely dry-rotted and would need replaced. So to some things up its a bulky, beat up, 13 pound, hard to open useless box that I paid $49.00 for if you ask me its worth about $10.00. What you get looks nothing like the picture you see. Your better of buying a $5 ammo can from your local army navy store. Because thats all this case is good for long term storage of ammo and nothing more. I suggest saving your money and buying something else. I give this a 0 out of 5 bullets! Also case was poorly packaged in a box much to large with only a few sheets of paper for packing. Oh well Hopefully CTD will take it back. Thanks,John"

"I will have to disagree with the last reviewer, only a few dings and dongs in my case, although these seem to be luck of the draw for which one you get. I found this to be quite a robust case for the money and have used it as a suitcase for a recent trip and none of my goods were damaged."

"...but to the first reviewer, this is military surplus and you cannot expect it to be in brand new condition. Keep up the good work CTD. and please post this so others can learn from this."
