"I bought a couple of these for my charles daly 1911 since i already had one for it and they work flawlessly. Something to note though, the ones you get are different than the one pictured. They are the newer design with the plastic follower and the steel isn't as shiny."

"I bought two of these mags for my Rock Island Armory 1911 Tactical. They work great. Mine had a plastic follower and floorplate. Make sure you don't Duracoat them or paint them to get rid of the shine because then they won't fit back in the gun!! Overall great mags."

"Good mag's at a great price. Used this mag in my PT1911, Citadel and Gold Cup. only a few problems during the break-in of the Taurus on the first 500. I'm going to attribute it to the gun as I've used this mag for the past 1000 and there has been zero problems. Made in Italy...nuff said."

"I first bought these magazines with confidence, about 2 months ago. Then just yesterday I took them to the range to test them. THANK GOD I DID! After I shot the first mag full, I tried to eject the mag. It was stuck so I pulled it out. Upon inspection, I noticed the magazine had several stress fractures on the side. They where so thin at first I thought it was a hair, then I rubbed my finger over it and sure enough it was hairline fractures! That's the first and last time I buy anything from Mec-Gar again. I only wish I could post pictures."
