This MAXXTech .22 long rifle ammunition has a lead round nose (LRN), which expands more than a full metal jacket (FMJ), but less than a hollow point (HP). The LRN design makes it a good middle ground for many uses such as target practice, plinking and hunting varmint, as well as being more affordable than most FMJ or HP styles.

MAXXTech .22 LR ammo loaded by POBJEDA Technology out of Gorade, Bosnia, a recognized name in Eastern Europe, has a long tradition in manufacturing ammunition and was built on 60 years of experience in research and development leading to the best quality manufacturing and large volume production of ammunition.

"Just started firing this in my S&W Victory it doesn't want to feed the first round (even in 5 shot strings) about 1/3 of the time. It doesn't fire about 1 in 10 times, strangely the rim shows no strike, but other brands (Federal, CCI, Ely) used in the same session work just fine. The failures usually will fire on the second or third attempt. The quality of this ammo make me wonder just what MAXXTech is " recognized name" for."

"I just received my order of 5000 rounds of this 22lr. I tried to run it thru my Ruger 10/22 and my Ruger mark 2. I experienced multiple failures to feed, failures to fire and failure to eject. I could literally turn the lead projectile inside the casing.I believe the bullets are too long to feed. I can barely get them out of my mags manually. I ran different ammo thru both weapons and no issues."

"If .22 LR gets scarce, it's better than nothing, but not by much. Ruger Single Ten: Rim thickness too high, couldn't rotate cylinder. Ruger Std Model: After ~30 rds, hard to chamber more. Seemed to build up lead at front of chamber; last rnd the case split wide open. Ruger 10/22 - Failed to fire or extract ~10% of rnds. Savage Mark II F: 5%-10% of rnds failed to fire. After ~150 rounds, couldn't extract, removed case w/ cleaning rod. Cleaned rifle, shot another ~150, stuck cases again."

"While I was very disappointed with this ammo I must say the customer service was excellent. I posted a poor review of the ammo and a customer rep read my review and contacted me first. They made it right without any hesitation or argument. I was very impressed. I will certainly buy from Cheaper Than Dirt again but not for this ammo. Thank you CTD,I appreciate your efforts to correct the situation."
