"Just wanted to let buyers know that this is not a Thompson factory original. Functions the same, looks the same, but it is a reproduction. Does not have the same stampings as the original drum. Only has markings of the .45 caliber cartridge and wind to 9 clicks. Also, this does not include the drum installation device, which is produced by a third party and is sold by Kahr Arms/Thompson/Auto-Ordnance. The drum installation device is just a little piece of metal to engage and dis-engage the bolt lockback mechanism while installing and removing the drum. Don't forget to only install and remove the drum from the left side of the Thompson! Never the right, otherwise it will scratch up your Thompson and possibly destroy the entire drum that has sensitive catches on the back."

"I bought one of these for my Kahr semi auto. Finally a mag that works. I've been having major problems with Kahr magazines fitting in my Auto Ordnance. Why would you pay double with all of the quality problems that Auto Ordnance is having. My gun has been back to the factory once, and I'm looking for a gunsmith to get it fixed. (They didn't fix the problem when I sent it in for warranty work). Lots of people are having problems with their drums as well. Finally a magazine that works like it is supposed to. Just a word of advice, you will need to rig up some sort of third hand to lock the bolt open to remove the drum. This is just too much fun!!!! Send more 45 shells."

"An old grenade handle works perfectly as a 3rd hand to keep the bolt open, and with the pull pin and ring in place, it makes it easy to keep it handy."
