"I was curious about this magazine since most mags that fit a 226 and 228 will also fit a 229. It's not advertised for the gun but it does work well with a 229. I haven't had any feeding problems, and for the price I can pick up two of these for the price of one fifteen rounder. I keep two in my case and two in my bug out bag. This is an absolutely great deal."

"I purchased one of these 30 round mags for my Kel Tec Sub 2K 9mm carbine that uses Sig mags. It work flawlessly even with my home cast truncated cone bullets."

"Would only hold 10 rounds before the follower got stuck. Doesn't want to lock in my P226 and jams every time on the last round."

"dont waste your money! these things never even made it into my 226, because you cant even load them. 5 rounds in the follower binds up. pure junk. i hope i can get my money back!!!!"

"I just took the base plate off my magazine and found the problem. The magazine spring is in backwards. Turned the spring around and the magazine loads fine now."

"You get what you pay for, which in this case is questionable fit and finish. Fortunately a little sanding on the sides of the follower seemed to smooth out feeding a bunch. Disassembling to sand is a knuckle buster due to way the magazine is assembled. Its not like a factory base plate that can be pushed off from behind, grab it from the front with vise grips and you're good to go.Biggest plus is its a lot more available than other 226 mags at the moment. The price ain't bad but its no Mec-Gar..."

"this did not fit my sig p226. I had to machine out another notch so it would lock into my pistol. Workded fine after that. About 300 rounds later became difficult to load. Bullets just getting stuck. I am going to re-phos the magazine and oil the interior. Then I will clean the mag with acetone or ultrasonics. The minute amount of oil left in the phos crystals should make it work better. This item does not work in the as shipped condition for a p226, but you can make it work and is definately worth the money."

"just bought one for my sig p229,wouldnt fit, kept binding upon loading, and jamed when trying to chamber a round.but a lil work to em and their great! had to grind so will lock in gun, grind down the front where bullets come out so would chamber smooth. a lil file work only took 25mins and you got a 30rounder!!! defently worth ur time!!"

"I have a P226 and ordered this expecting very little due to previous reviews. I have to say that it's definitely NOT the same high quality as Mecgar, but it took 30 rounds right out of the box, locked into place just fine, and I was able to chamber/eject all 30 rounds in a row without a single problem. Even with all 30 rounds the weight distribution feels pretty good. Maybe the manufacturer was able to fix the issues reported from previous buyers? Who knows...All that being said, it's still just a novelty item for me. It's impossible to conceal carry, unless as a spare.I gave it 4 bullets because the quality just isn't \"perfect.\" Otherwise I was pleasantly surprised with this purchase!"
