"A little sticky at first, but with a little sanding and repeated firings, this mag was great in my Rem 7400. Almost like a BAR from WWII!"
"After I bought this Mag I brought it out to the desert and it functioned perfectly in my 30-06 742."
"IF YOU WANT THE BEST AVAILABLE, THIS IS IT! MUCH BETTER THAN THE PLASTIC ONE-TIME USE MODEL. WILL BUY MORE. 20 ROUNDS WOULD BE OUSTANDING!"
"I bought 2 of these magazines for use in a new Remington 7400. One functioned well with 8 or fewer rounds and the other one fails to function consistently. I checked for damage to the malfunction one and was able to determine the malfunctioning magazine had bent a lip. I was never able to get this one to work. I discarded the damaged magazine. The one that functions consistently jams with 10 rounds loaded, occaisonally with 9 rounds loaded, however with 8 or fewer rounds it performs very well."

"I bought 3 of these for my 7400 in .30-06One magazine functioned well with 8 for fewer rounds, 9 worked well most of the time, but 10 almost always resulted in a stoppage.Another magazine was in need of cleaning and polishing. Once this was done it functioned as above, 8 rounds or fewer it worked as well as the factory magazine. The third magazine failed to function completely. The lips were bent and I discarded it.I am satisfied with the performance of the two functioning magazines. I am disappointed that they required work and had one with bent lips."

"The 1st thing that disapointed me was that my clip came with a couple product magizeines in a bag. So the whole way to my house it was being knocked around. O ne of the lips was slightly bent. At 1st it would only feed with 6 in the clip in my 742 woodmaster. But i took the spring out and weakened it. So now it will feed with 8 in the clip. But i was hopeing for a better quality product. 8 is better than four though."
"I bought two of the 10 round magazines, and both function perfectly with 8 rounds. I did not expect them to function with 10 rounds, so was not disapointed when I had an occasional failure with 10 rounds"
"I have bought this for my 742 woodsmaster carbine in 30-06. This will work but try getting this mag out after putting it is very difficult. The mag is very difficult to release once installed especially with ammo in it. Also doesn't work to well with 10 rounds in it. With 7 or 8 rounds it will work but once you are empty very difficult to change mags because it feels locked in. I imagine this might work on a 7400 woodsmaster but for those of us that have the old 742 that they stopped making in 1981 this mag isn't a good match."
"I bought 2 of these for my Remington 7400. I got a chance to take it out to the range the other day, and although I only tested one (as I was teaching my wife to shoot, didn't want her to blow her shoulder out haha) it functioned great. It was a bit touchy getting the first round into the chamber once or twice, but once it was in it worked great. It looked like my second one's lip was a bit bent, but I guess its fortunate that I work on sheet metal and I 'think' I was able to fix it. I guess i'll find out soon. But I highly recommend this product! You can't beat the price and its definately nicer than the plastic mags. Good stuff CTD!"
"some feeding problems, and jamming. not bad but not very reliable."
"doesn't lock into place, doesn't feed, plain old doesn't work~!"
"I just purchused one of these mag.i'am having the same problemas the rest of you guys 7 rounds for meanymore than that and my 7400 jams thespring is just to heavy i'am going to try and replaceit, alsoI have trouble getting the magout of my rifle it sticks the notch on the back of the mag. that locks the mag. into place needs to be ground down a bit and i thinkthat will fix that problem."

"Don't waste your money! On these non-brand magazines! They don't hold 10 rounds. They don't feed into the mag tunnel well. The bullet jams the action. And the magazine doesn't release. Why would someone want to "file", "bend" or alter a product that is suppose to just work! Crap Mag!"

"I bought two of these last year for a 7400 30-06. They can be hard to get to lock in but if you open the bolt and put it in it works fine. They both fire ten rounds without a hitch. I think I have had one missfeed, but if the rifle is clean they work fine. These are a must for hog hunting!"
"I bought a couple of these a while back from CTD with the thought of using them bear hunting in my pump 760. WORKED FLAWLESSLY! No modifications needed. Nothing like looking a bruin in the eye knowing you got 10 surprises for him. I WILL be buying more. Yes, I understand there's nothing like the factory original for your auto-loader but in a pump, it's got wheels."
"I bought two of these for my Remington 760 pump. No problems after 50 rounds. I can actually put 11 rounds in each mag, but I am guessing that may be hard on the mag spring. Easier to insert and release this magazine versus a 5 rd factory mag. I will buy more when they are available again. I gave three bullets because they are not the prettiest thing to look at."
"Purchased for my 7600 pump. Apperance is of cheap construction and poor quality. No positive lock-in, even with bolt open. Factory, pointed style bullets hang and don't feed into chamber. Tip of bullets are not directed into chamber properly causing hanging. Factory mag works just fine. WOULD NOT DEPEND MY LIFE ON IT!. Say what you want, it's supose to work correctly with 10-rounds and with NO reworking. Another sub-standard quality product issued to the consumer and marketed for the money not function."

"I've gone through a LOT of different 10 round mags for my 7600 and have been dissapointed every time. Well, I got this one today, loaded up 10 rounds and locked it in. Cycled the action 10 times and it chambered and ejected every single one. Thats NEVER happened with any of the other ones, I'm getting antsy now to go try it at the range... I only gave it four stars because it could be a disapointment in the field and its a little loose (even the factory mags are somewhat loose). Grab them while you can, they won't last long."
"Bought one for my 7600. Looks low quality but words great!"
"Just received two of these today, a day early I might add. One had some white powdery stuff on it inside the plastic bag. I got a brass brush and some WD-40 and cleaned it off. I lubed them both and loaded each with 10 rounds. Some have reported only getting 8 or 9 rounds in them but 10 went in easily. Both hand cycled flawlessly. While these are not factory quality they are 1/2 the price of the 4 round OEM mags and will do the job for me in a Target Rich Environment. Nothing fancy just functional."
"(20+ years Marine Corps/LE experience) Order/shipping was superb. Purchased this item for Rem 742 Woodmaster 30-06. Magazine did not fit in magazine well properly and was extremely difficult to remove. Loaded mag with 8 rounds and it would not properly seat and would not release. Had to take rifle to my armorer to be removed. If you buy this magazine be prepared to do some sanding for a proper fit."

"worked great in my 7400, had no problems at all. plan on purchasing at least 2 more."
– 7400 30-06
"At fist worked well with 8 rounds only. Cleaned powdery residue off, oiled, now works with 10. Dry-loading only, not even broken in yet, can't wait."
"I ordered 4 of these magazines, plan to use them in my pump 7600. Only one worked without mods right out of the box (or bag). The other 3 need some minor tweaking with a pair of needle nose plyers and sandpaper. Once modified, they worked just fine. I have loaded all four to 10 rounds, and they hold the 10 easily. If you are not averse to playing with the feed lips a bit, these are a good buy. I plan on buying a couple more."
"I was hesitating to purchase this clip because of some of the reviews but went a head and took a chance. Glad I did. A well made clip that worked great with my model 742. Ive created a 30.06 semi auto monster with ten big ones heading down yonder. I'll be back for a few more of these."
– Pittsburgh Dave
"I fits well, with no filing required. It doesn't have the button to release the charging handle, but I knew that when I bought it. I cycled a few dozen rounds thru a Remington 740, then took it to the range and shot ten rounds quickly, with one FTE that stovepiped on me. Not a failure to feed, so nothing against the magazine. I would recommend it and will probably be buying again."
– Frosty J.
"Just bought 2 and they're terrible. I don't need to file and bend on a new mag. to make it work."

"I got these for both my Remington 760 and 742 model 30-06. Obviously, the first thing that attacts you is the ten rounds. It's way more fun than four rounds. So with that being said, the clips work fabulous with eight rounds in them. I will address all of the cry babies I got these for both my Remington 760 and 742 model 30-06. Obviously, the first thing that attracts you is the ten rounds. The clips work fabulous with eight rounds in them. I will address all of the cry babies out there saying "I shouldn't file on it" or "it looks crappy." Well, you're not Rambo and this isn't Hollywood. They work well. Who gives a shot what they look like? Let's not forget that back in the day part of owning a gun meant maintaining and doing maintenance on them. Having two of these magazines tapped together is the closest thing to a BAR I'll probably ever have. Sending nine 30-06 rounds down toward coyotes at my buddys ranch is loads of fun, even if it took me 15 minutes of customizing. As for the pump 760, I had no problems what so ever with the magazine. I will be ordering another 6 or 7 of these things soon. Thanks CTD!"

"I purchased this mag for my Remington 7600 .270 Winchester. I tried the cheaper mags as they looked identical to the Triple K. Looks are deceiving. The cheaper mags simply did not work. They would lock into place nicely, but that is all they would do. The Triple K mag help 10 rounds with no trouble, locked into place effortlessly, and functioned very well. There were some malfunctions at first, but on the third attempt every round cycled through the action with aplomb.Yeah, these mags are a little rough, but a few minutes with a fine file or Dremel tool will cure those ills. A little roughness is not uncommon. I encountered the same situation when I purchased extra magazines for my Winchester Model 88 that were manufactured on the original Winchester tooling. The way I look at it is if I can smooth out a few rough edges and have a reliable 10 round magazine, I'll do it. And I don't care what the magazine looks like. I bought it to hold 10 rounds of ammo, not to be pretty."
"I like the look of the mag in my remington 7400 cant wait to get out and try it out."
"Upon receiving the magazine, I immediately checked it for fit in my new Remington 750, in 30-06. The magazine would not latch into the receiver. I tried loading the magazine, then inserting into the receiver. Still, it would not latch at all, not even close. I had read reviews on this site, and others, about this magazine. Most reviews said that slight modifications would need to be made to the magazine, to fit correctly into all semi-autos, so I knew this going in. I am looking for a gunsmith to hopefully tweak my magazine into fitting. I will update the review at a later date, upon hopefully a successful re-fitting."
"The mags fit and latched right out of the box. I had a slight feed issue with one mag that was cleared up with a little sand paper and a good cleaning. Other that that I love them so I am going to buy 8 more. Any one with a remy auto loader that likes to use it at the range should get a few."

"Bought it for my 742 in 30.06. Works awesome. Plan on getting 2 more."
"I have a 7400 carbine and this mag seems to lock in fine; was able to load all 10 rds no problem. The mag released fine as well; I didn't experience the lock in that was expressed in a previous review. I literally just rec.'d the item today and haven't had a chance to fire with it yet but based on previous reviews, I'm not experiencing some of the other issues expressed. I LOVE the idea of having 10 rds available and if this mag shoots well, I will DEFINITELY purchase more."
"I love them, had to touch up the follower a lil with a dremel to prevent the bolt from locking to the rear but, other than that they were perfect. They have a sturdy mil-surplus feel to them, hopefully they won't have any durability issues although I do not foresee any. Great buy at the price."
"I bought 2 a few weeks ago and used them for the first time last weekend and they are great. The magazines are in geat condition and I was able to load all 10 rounds with no problem. Inserts and releases with ease. I have a pump action and semi auto, works for both. Great buy!!!"
"Bought this for my 742 - 30.06 This thing is pure garbage."
"Won't feed, won't cycle, pure junk."
"Wanted to get for awhile. Reluctant. Ordered four. Received in two days. Fit as well as four factory 4-round mags in my 7400. Spring feels great. Cold-cycled nine rounds flawlessly. I will not load ten... don't believe in it. Don't store any loaded mags. Ruins springs by constant compression. YOU HAVE TO BE SOMEWHAT EXPERIENCED TO INSERT AND REMOVE MOST REMOVEABLE MAGS CORRECTLY. Someone who has never picked up a gun will be frustrated. I am very satisfied and am sure they will work well on the range."
– Doc H.
"I bought 4 of these for myself and 2 for my dad. I ended up receiving 4 30-06 mags and 2 .308 mags. Sending the 308 mags back would cost more than it's worth so maybe I'll buy a gun they fit someday. The 742 is not really happy to be fired like it's an SKS and changing the mags is not fast. I had no more failures with these mags than I had with the stock mag though."
– SFC Rob
"I found that these mags cause my Remington 742 in 30.06 to jam or not feed when loaded with 10 rounds, but if you only put nine in there, they work flawlessly."
"Was skeptical after reading some of the reveiws, and had to wait because mags were on back order. After receiving magazines, I was off to the range to try them out. I was PLEASANTLY surprised!! They inserted and ejected easily from my rifle, and fed flawlessly even when loaded with 10 rounds. Highly recommended!!!"
"I'm having to modify mine. It won't feed, just jams. I have found the problem, it's just gonna take a little work. The lips are too long and wide. The notch in the center that allows the round to pop up is way smaller than the original mag. Hopefully a little cutting and sanding will fix it."
– kendall phillips
"Low quality mag. No bold hold open(is tapered in the back to prevent BHO). About the same quality as 90's Pro Mag."
"The Magazine arrived on time and in perfect shape. I had no issues with it at the range, shot 30 rounds of Winchester Core-Lokt rounds and 10 rounds of Winchester Ballistic Silver Tips. No failures to feed/fire,No jamming. Just bang after bang. Very good product for the price. will be buying more soon."
"Are these the best out there? No. Are they good? Yes. These do work well overall with the rifles listed. Given that even the stock factory magazines jammed from Remington, it's no surprise these sometimes do as well. A few tweaks bending the lips in a little and they worked fine. It took a few rounds to adjust to get it just right. Maybe I could file it a little to make it work even better, but after 50 shots w/o a jam after a 5 minute tweak, it worked flawlessly."
"Mags arrived quickly and function flawlessly. I would deffinatly buy this product again and suggest it to anyone. Very impressed."
"Happy to see they are made in the USA. They look as good as standard mags. Did have to tweak one of them, but nothing out of the ordinary. Will buy more but for now we're going to play."
– Trikeman 02
"I have purchased 2 of these Mags for my Remington Gamemaster 30-06 hunting rifle. They work great, but may need a little tweaking. These give you more ammo, than the 5 round mags that came with the rifle."
– Mike S.
"So it doesn't have the lever in the mag to release the bolt on empty like the original...$40-50 for a standard 4 round replacement mag versus $20 for this 10 round one. I'm ok with that. My only issue is that the follower doesn't come up all the way in the 2 mags I got to lock the bolt back on empty. Haven't had a chance to function test to see how the last round feeds, but really, $20 for an oversized mag that fits well and holds the rounds without any modifications? And it arrived in 1 day after getting notice it was back in stock? Again, I'm ok with that, really ok with that! Props CTD."
"I purchased two of these 10 round magazines in .30-06 for a Remington 742. One of them functioned satisfactory, but both were difficult to insert and extract even after several cycles (attempted to break-in). Magazines are completely spot welded. Welds are good and solid but some are elevated enough to impede the follower. Large amount of welding flux present in both examples. I disassembled the magazines and noted two things: 1 The springs are little more than blued steel banding straps bent into a W shape and are somewhat weak. 2- The thin, injection molded ABS followers appear weak and have been ground around the edges in certain places in an attempt to relieve internal binding and the bolt stop was ground off as well (probably as a precaution against breaking the follower). Plastic tabs are present on the top side edges of the follower to act as stops but the welding fit up where the stops make contact with the inner edge of the magazine body varied in my two examples by 1/32 inchnot much but enough that on one magazine the case mouth of the left feeding round of the double column would repeatedly hang on the top front of the magazine on the case mouth of the round. Compared to factory magazine, the Triple K has a straight front versus the factory mags gradual U shaped front. Filing this down with a half round fine file alleviated the hang. In my opinion these magazines, once tested and adjusted to function correctly are fine for range sighting-in if only to reduce reload time, but I would not rely on these for serious work (hunting, personal defense, etc.). None of my factory magazines have any issues and function flawlessly."

"Bought this magazine for a Remington 7400 270. I have bought other TripleK magazines that worked flawlessly out of the box. I was happy to find a magazine with more capacity than the stock mag., and couldnt beat the price. I did have to spend quite a bit of time adjusting the magazine so that rounds could feed without chewing up lead. When cycling through a full mag, the final round would jam against the inside of the magazine. I did get it to cycle without failing, but due to what seems like a weak spring and a non-standard floor plate, I dont have a lot of confidence that it will continue to function trouble free."
"A lot of forums post negative reviews on Remington mags that jam and malfunction. I bought 3 of these last month, and everyone of them has fed perfectly in my 7400 and 750. In fact they have been so nice that I just ordered 3 more. Great product. Now if they could only make one that would lock the action on final round, they would be perfect."
"Just what was looking for."
"Product arrived in a timely manner and came exactly as described online. It fit my 742 Woodsmaster perfectly and easily held 10 rounds of .30-06 Sprg ammunition. Just to be sure it would feed/cycle the rounds into my rifle without any problems I tested it out and fired approximately 20 rounds through it...wherein I experienced no feeding issues whatsoever. I really could not find anything wrong with this magazine and was so happy with it that I ended up ordering 2 more, both of which also function perfectly. Would definitely recommend this product and I might even order a couple more."
