"I purchased a couple of these and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and functionality. I haven't put a lot of rounds thru them yet, but so far no problems."

"I just received three 30 round Mini-14 mags and none of them will lock in in the mag well of my Mini-14. I have 3 factory mags that work like a charm, so I don't think is my gun that has the problem."

"After writing the first review I went on line to Tech Support. Daniel told me the mags were not nesting and suggested I \"try harder\" to get them in. After pushing as hard as I could the latch snapped into place. Then it didn't want to release. Being frustrated by now I picked up a 2' long 2x4 and smacked it on the lower front corner. To my suprise it helped. With 2 or 3 more smaks with the 2x4 (a real red neck tool) it went in and released as good as my 3 factory mags. I \"adjusted\" the other 2 likewise, and all are fine now. Thanks Dan at tech support."

"I have absolutely no issues with the performance of this magazine.Upon unwrapping, the plastic bag the clip was shipped in needed to be peeled away from the exterior of the magazine leaving the clip coated with a sticky, nasty coat of dirty production oil residue. It cleaned up easily. It took only 3 or 4 tries to get it to lock in place properly and now it's a snap. No 2x4 needed! It cycles ammo with no hang ups. I did notice that the gauge of the metal is somewhat lighter than a factory clip which may affect durability down the road. I will buy a couple more."

"It took a lot of tweaking. The first trip to the range and it jammed on the 3rd, 9th and 12th round when fully loaded. A couple of the jams were quite difficult to remove the jammed round. Reloaded and it jammed on most every round. Took it apart and cleaned all parts, light lube on all parts and used a fine file, whet stone and 600 grit on all sharp edges and at all visible wear points. Now it's working fairly well. Was able to cycle 3 full mags through it without a single jam but took a half hour or more to get it there."

"I bought one of these to try. With the mixed reviews I was expecting the worst. They come wrapped in plastic and sticky oil. Just take it apart and use warm water and some dish soap. They do fit snug at first. I think it is due to the pin hole in the front of the mag being a little farther down than they factory mags. I just filed a little off the locking tab on the back and little from the front feed lips. The factory mags have a little wobble these don't. Over time they will break in. I have had no malfunctions to speak of yet. Also try matching the contours of the factory mag for the follower. Just use a chainsaw file. It will aid in bullet alignment. For half the price its worth it."

"This mag is a POS only use factory Ruger mags and you will have no problems."

"Initially the magazine would not even seat into the rifle fully. Had to grind the ledge up a bit for the magazine release to latch. After that ordeal, the magazine would not feed into the rifle. Had to push down on the top, from inside the rifle with the bolt to the rear, then release the bolt to chamber a round. This would fire once, then would fail to chamber the next round, leaving the bolt stuck on top of the following round. Did not function one bit for me, would not try again to see if it was a lemon."

"so far i put roughly 500 rounds through 3 of these mags, and have had no problem.it did not slap right in, so i put a good movie in and kept inserting/removing each mag over and over. that gave it the wear to slap right in for me no problem. not sure about the 2x4 method.. dont want anyone to possibly damage their weapon..i never had a feed problem, but i dont load 30 rounds. no more that 28 rounds, just a personal preference of mine which i also did in the army. also i loaded 20 rounds in each mag for a week to wear that spring slightly before my first round of shooting.4/5 because it does take awhile to get it to slap in easily, but for the money and it not being the poly/plastic crap its a win. i will be purchasing more"

"I have bought six, and never had feeding issues. It fits my Ruger Mini 14 perfectly, compared to the factory 30 rounder and 20 rounders that came with the rifle."
