"Bought 2 of these this week. They lock tightly into place in my '44 Inland; they cannot be wiggled or tugged out of place. The roll crimp in the front is ever so slightly less \" solidly flattened\" or whatever than my USGI Nationl Postal Meter example that came with my gun, and the finish is amazing! A bit darker than the NPM but very nice looking. They also feel just as rigid as the NPM mag.I'd get more if I had the money."

"Having owned many M1 carbine magazines over the years, these rank about middle of the road. They function fine, but lack a quality follower, not having the \"open bolt after empty\", which is nice when shooting, gives the shooter the ability to know when the magazine is empty. They do operate fine......but that lil' bit of quality would have been nice to see and CTD should have included in their description."

"magazine is solid and well made - great finish - inserts and locks up nicely - best aftermkt. mag I've seen. JMHO"

"Best aftermarket mag for M1 Carbine I've ever seen! Bought 2 then 2 more after seeing quality and function. Been shooting carbines for a long time, I think these mags are better than USGI! They are dimensionally correct and heavy made."

"These M1 Carbine magazines are the best I have ever seen. They have excellent workmanship and fit like a glove. I am going to retire all my old clunker magazines and just use these from now on."

"These clips work great in my M-1 Carbine. The first time they went in they were a little stiff but after that they loosened up. I think they are great and I plan on buying more."

"I just ordered 2 of these mags an got them today. They didnt fit my Auto-Ordance M-1 carbine. They looked really nice an all, but the fit was really, really tight. I had to use ALOT of force for it to lock into place an then I played hell getting it back out. It could of been the mags, coulda been my gun who knows!!"

"No hold open on the magazine follower which is annoying, but the real problem I have with these (I bought two): last round or two in very rapid fire porpoised or jammed . . . but that is with a Universal carbine. Still, the M-1 carbine isn't much fun in slow fire, hence, the single star rating."
4.0 5
"I Bought 3 of these, took some tweaking to the feed lips and a few uses to get broke in, after that they work pretty well."

"Fits like butter. Actually fits better than the ones that came with the gun when I got it. I may have to buy more down the road."

"I have a Universal that was blessed with gi parts, I have up until now used only GI WWII magazines in it, I bought some of these and was amazed by the quality and fit. The last round open is a perk of the 30rd mags I own, none of my 15rd gi ones have it, so that doesn't bother me. I'm glad to see good quality aftermarket mags made for a good deal finally. I highly recommend these to any M1 carbine shooters out there"

"I ordered 5 of the 15rd and 5 of the 30rd. All arrived extremely FAST and each one was still sealed in original Korean wrapping. All magazines fit & function perfectly in my Underwood M1. I highly recommend these magazines!!"

"I own a new Auto Ordnance M1 carbine and these mags fit it like a glove. Something must be wrong with the other guy's Auto Ordnance carbine. The mags look like top quality unlike some higher priced junk that I bought from the other guy. Bought two for inspection and am going back for four more. 30-round mags look nice too. Haven't tried them on the range yet but I plan on using the new ones to replace some surplus used mags that keep jamming. These seem like a really nice product. Hope they work as well as they look."

"Excellent quality magazine. The South Koreans don't mess around with their weaponry because of their neighbors to the north."

"ordered 2 from here as well as 5 30 round mags. I have not opened the ones I got from here yet but do all ready own one and it functions flawlessly in my national ord. (all GI except for the receiver). I did have a problem with failure to lock on the first five or so rounds, the recoil spring was week and the shell casing caused enough drag on the bottom of the bolt to slow it down enough not to lock. This is not a mag problem but a worn spring in the rifle. replaced the spring and it is flawless now."
5.0 5
"I ordered two of these Korean 15 rnd mags for my Universal M1 Carbine. These appear to be identical to U.S. Mil Spec and function flawlessly in my carbine now. One of the mags would not feed the first round with a full load the first time, but after a couple of loads it started working perfectly. These are new in a sealed paper package and the blueing finish is excellent, not the crappy dull finish most mags have."
5.0 5
"I saw the price and was skeptical. I went ahead and ordered six of them. They were in the same packaging and appeared to be identical to the magazines I bought at a gun show last week for double the money. I compared them and the only noticeable difference is the manufacturers stamp on the front (back?) of the mag. If you shoot and need M1 .30 Carbine mags, then go for it."
5.0 5
"Got mine today and had to see if it would fit or not. Fits a little snug in my Iver Johnson M1, but nothing too bad. I compared it to the mag I got with the gun and it looks identical. Hey, for $6, if you need (or want) another mag, why not give it a shot. It looks great. Have not had it out to see how it feeds, but I'm happy so far!"
4.0 5
"Had the opportunity to try out the new mag today in my 1944 Standard Products M1 Carbine. It had one FTF but other than that it functioned without a problem. This is the second Korean mag I've used, the first purchased from another supplier and has the last shot hold open. This mag does not have this feature which is inline with GI issued mags. I am planning on ordering more."

"Perfect . They work great, look very good . Perfect"

"The quality of the mags is top notch, and fit in my M1 perfectly. I loaded and unloaded the magazines twice to see if there was any problems with a new item. I will buy more as soon as the money tree starts to bud. Great product, unbeatable price, Fast delivery. Thanks, Lou"

"the mag is reliable and in great shape, HOWEVER, it does not lock the slide back when the last round is fire. This should have been stated in the description. The mag feeds properly and is worth the $, but do not buy it if you need a mag that will lock the slide back after the last round. thx"
5.0 5
"Bought 8 of these mags, all functioned perfectly in my 1944 Standard Products M-1 Carbine."
4.0 5
"I bought 9, all feed perfectly in my AO M1 Carbine. I had to ding one bullet because all need a slight \"pop-in\" to fully seat. All good stuff and well worth the price. No last round hold back on the 15 rounders (30 rounders do have it)."
4.0 5
"Ordered 6 of these for my '43 Carbine. Aside from a slight tight fit, all magazines work great and feed well. I've paid 4x this cost for magazines in other rifles that didn't work at all, so this was a refreshing surprise. A high-quality, dirt-cheap mag!"
5.0 5
"Just bought two of these mags. They feel great and fit perfectly in my '43 Winchester M1. You look at the price here, and you think, \"yeah, right.\" I'm very surprised. These work great and are a steal at twice the price. I bought the first three mags I ever owned from another retail outlet, but if I ever need mags again, this is where I will get them!"
5.0 5
"Those of you complaining these don't have a bolt hold back should remember that original GI mags didn't either. They are the same as the original mags, so I don't think its fair to hold that against these. I'd rather use GI mags, but for the price I'd have to give it 5 stars."
5.0 5
"Got one magazine just to check it out. Was very surprised at its quality. Fits perfectly in my Saginaw. Loaded it up and off to the range. Functioned perfectly with no problems. I have many USGI carbine mags and this one is right up there with them. Going to get a 30 round mag next. If the quality and function are the same, I am definitely getting more. Good job, CTD!"
4.0 5
"These are good, inexpensive Korean made mags that work well in my NPM. They also fit my Saginaw without problems. Fired all 15 shots with no Fail to feeds. If into Korea, are shooting at the range and want to save your USGI mags, then these worked well for me. Nice solid metal, black finish, no dents or dings. They came in a brown wrapper, Made in South Korea, where I'm sure they had plenty of carbine and magazine experience, since 1950 as to get production right. But remember, these will not hold the bolt open on the last shot, so I gave them a 4. But USGI mags also lack the hold open function. If you want the hold open feature, then get the 30 round mag. I've chosen them, because they are 1/3 the price and work for the money!"
5.0 5
"Great magazine. Worked well in my Universal Carbine. No bolt hold open feature but that's not really a problem for me. I plan to order a couple more. Thanks CTD!"
5.0 5
"These are pretty good, I needed to mess with the feed lip (Bend) but I seem to need to do that with every mag. (Think its the gun) People keep complaining about no bolt hold open."
5.0 5
"I purchased two, both work flawlessly in my National Postal Meter carbine. The finish is a deep blue, which is nice, but they are a little snug in the magazine well. I plan to order more while they're still such a bargain."
5.0 5
"I bought 3 of these for my A.O. (kahr) M1 carbine. When i recieved them I instantly took them apart, cleaned, and oiled them a bit and went to the range. They all worked flawlessly, locked up tight including in my brothers Inland. They also looked nice and are of great quality. I will be ordering more."
5.0 5
"I purchased 6 to begin with, they are made exactly like the original mags, function perfectly in both my Winchester and National Post Meter carbines. I ordered 5 more! buy these for your carbine and save the original mags from the elements."
5.0 5
"You guys complaining about the last round bolt open have to realize that the carbine was never designed to hold the bolt open. Give it a fair review. I have 12 of these and they function flawlessly. Those having problems I've noticed some reviewers do not have GI carbines, but aftermarket carbines."
5.0 5
"Ordered five of the (KCI) 15 round mags. High quality, all worked flawlessly in my NPM M-1. I will order additional mags. Best deal @ CTD."
5.0 5
"I was a little worried about ordering the Korean mags but after reading all the reviews here, I thought I would take a chance. I am not disappointed at all!! The mags look great, fit great and function just fine. If you are looking for M1 Carbine mags at an affordable price...these are the ones. I will be ordering more soon."
5.0 5
"Just buy it. It's the best mag out there and as cheap as i've seen them. Buy like 8 of them. No joke, just buy them."
5.0 5
"I ordered 3 of these and 5 of the 30 round mags at first. I was sceptical since they were non GI imports but the only problems I've had was in the very beginning, failure to extract on every round. I replaced my recoil spring and I'm not sure at this point if the new spring in the mag was too strong and causing too much drag on the bolt or if it was my recoil spring but I have had no more failures. I've since added quiet a few of these to the collection, I prefer the 15 rounders due to size and weight. I also keep two of these in a mag pouch on the stock and it makes for very rapid reloads not to mention if I have it in my patrol car and have to bail out with it I have spare mags at hand. I stripped the paint off a couple of them and parkerized them grey, they look great parkerized and still function flawlessly."
5.0 5
"These a great repro mags, look good, function great, and a steal for this price, thanks South Korea and CTD!"
5.0 5
"I just received four mags I bought and they fit perfect on my Iver Johnson carbine. Quality is good for the price. Only time will tell how durable they are after giving them good use."
4.0 5
"Can't complain with these, I bought only one, a little worried since some people love them or hate them, and they work great with my rifle."
5.0 5
"You will be very pleased with this mag. I have 4 now that worked perfectly in my Universal .30 Carbine.Granted I only loaded one manufacture but it was a raining, cold miserable day after 220 rounds..I would recommend buying more, I just ordered 2 more .Rod"
5.0 5
"Mag was great but another story, On the third round of TULA I had a stovepipe and my extractor was torn apart. The rest of my TULA was thrown into the woods. Beware commie ammo is for commie guns."
5.0 5
"Three years ago, I bought 2000 rounds of Wolf 30 cal. Nearly every round jammed. [steel casings]. Earlier this year, I took a chance and bought two 15 rd.mags after reading the reviews. I went out shooting a couple of weeks ago, shot 100 rounds of Wolf, and not a single jam. So last week, I ordered two more, it's a great buy."
5.0 5
"These mags work perfectly.... as good as my originals. Now I can save my original GI mags and still have some to use. Bought 5 so far and will be picking up a few more."
4.0 5
"1 misfeed out of 100 rounds at the range with my Inland M1. Great value, would recommend for others. The bolt doesn't stay open, but you could replace the follower if that's an issue and you have other magazines to cannibalize. I just use them to have fun at the local range, so not an issue with me."
5.0 5
"I finally opened up the packages, and put the mags I ordered to good use. I don't shoot my carbine often, but was pleased with the performance of these magazines. I did not have any problems."
5.0 5
"Fits great, feeds great and best of all cheap in price!"
4.0 5
"Ordered two of these to go with a Quality Hardware M1 Carbine. Perfectly functional. I can't give the mags 5 bullets because the finish is NOT blue. It's PAINTED black. The paint increases the overall thickness of the mag which is why people have problems with the mags not dropping free when you hit the mag release. I've been thinking of stripping the paint off and hot-bluing the mags myself. That being said, the parkerized surplus mag I got with the carbine also does not drop free.To anyone that's having feeding issues: Be sure that the magazine spring pushes up at the BACK of the follower, not the front."

"Looks good, feeds great in my father's 1944 Underwood .I bought one, tried it then ordered and tested two more, a guy could get bored , it makes for a fun range session .As my budget allows I will buy more .I have two thirtys as well, good buy."

"Great mags! Tough, durable, reliable, and cheap!!! Zero malfunctions! Work great in my A-O M1 Carbine. Highly recommended!"
5.0 5
"Get these mags while you can. Great price, work flawlessly, takes stripper clips, and fit perfectly in my Underwood carbine. All were factory packaged and in great shape. No blemishes or dings. Note even a scratch on any of the 7."
4.0 5
"These mags looked great. Nice deep blued finish. Fit my '43 IBM without a problem. Awesome low price. I'll be ordering more of these."
5.0 5
"These are the best mags for the M1 Carbine, hands down! I have not found a carbine these mags didn't fit. Buy several you will not be disappointed!"
5.0 5
"Both the 15 & 30rd Korean mags function flawlessly in my Commercial, Winchester & Rock-Ola carbines. They are easier to load than the USGI & Taiwan mags, taking all 15 rds with minimal pressure. They fit snug and lock up tight. You may have to smack them pretty hard to seat them in a commercial carbine. They're finished in black paint, not blued. Excellent quality."
3.0 5
"I bought 7 of these for an old carbine we pulled out of my grandfathers house 2 worked without any issues but the other 5 would not sit forward far enough in the magazine well for a round to chamber, I'm in the process of salvaging them but for now if you apply pressure to the back of the magazine it works like a charm. (used in a universal)"
5.0 5
"These mags have a great finish and seem to go in and come out of my Iver Johnson carbine with little effort. I know some people have said that they don't drop free, but the truth is that most original mags in carbines don't drop free. Your carbine isn't an AR and you shouldn't expect it to act like an AR. I have had no issues to date with these mags in my 90's Iver Johnson or either of my WW2 vintage carbines. I would not suggest stepping on them or dropping them deliberately in the dirt, but I wouldn't tell you to do that with any other mag either. I was concerned because they are KCI made, somethings KCI makes are good, and somethings KCI makes are not so good. These work great, so this time KCI got it right."
5.0 5
"You cannot beat a deal like this. Absolutely perfect fit and function in my commercially-built M1 shooter. Bought three and also a 30 rd unit. All worked great. Don't be scared of the low price. These are high quality units."
5.0 5
"I bought six of these for my Plainsfield M1 Carbine. I was a little skeptical at first, due to the price, but decided to give them a shot and see what happened. CTD is always awesome when it comes to customer service and I knew I could return these magazines if they didn't work like they were supposed to. Long story short, I will not be returning these magazines. They work great and what an awesome deal at this price. I will be ordering more to keep around with my carbine. They also worked in my Dad's Underwood carbine and a friend's Universal. Buy these with confidence. Thanks, CTD! Yet another reason I will do business with you for a long time in the future."

"I have acquired 18 of these Korean Magazines through a friend, blocked magazines to use in making 10 round single stack .45 Win. Mag. magazines to fit a converted M1 Carbine. After cutting and welding, then doing the hand grinder cleanup of inside and outside beads, and making new followers and adding Wolff Springs, the .45 Winchester Magnum rounds feed reliably through the modified magazines. The left over pieces were welded and cleaned up into fully functional .30 Carbine 5 round magazines for use in another, unmodified USGI Winchester built carbine that also functions perfectly. I am very happy with the Korean built magazines and would buy more if I were allowed to. I am in California and we here are denied the privilege of buying these nominal 15 round magazines at this price."

"Bought two of these for an Auto Ordinance M1. Neither would lock properly into the magazine well. Locking notches on rear of mag were lower and not as prominent as on mags that work. Saved the springs and tossed the rest."
5.0 5
"Worked like a charm in my Auto Ordinance M1 .30 Carbine."
5.0 5
"I was skeptical about ordering this since it was so cheap. However, it seems to work very well. Seats well in the magazine well. Rounds fire perfectly. Only thing I notice is the top of the mag feed isn't slanted like other mags and without ammo in the mag, the bolt catches the back. In other words...when you shoot all 15 rds thru the mag, the bolt will stay open like that of a semi auto pistol when the mag is empty. But no jams, and shipped in three days, even with the cheapest shipping (10 day). Well done, CTD! I will be ordering more of these."
1.0 5
"Ordered two and just took them out to test them. Both jammed and needed adjusting to work."
5.0 5
"These mags worked great. The only thing better was the speed the order was filled. CTD should run the post office!"
4.0 5
"Ordered two of these magazines for my IBM M1 Carbine. The teeth on the back of the magazines had to be filed down inorder for magazine to seat properly in the gun. Otherwise, no problems."
5.0 5
"I had been experiencing all sorts of problems with my Universal m-1 carbine not feeding ammo correctly. I tried different ammo, stripped the rifle down to nuts an bolts and gave it a thorough cleaning and lube. I tried a different set of magazines. The more I searched, the more other folks claimed the magazine was the difference, even for the Universal. I bought two of these magazines. What a difference! The first time I've shot thru multiple magazines with no failures. After about 200 rounds, still working great. If you have a fussy Universal, give this a try."
5.0 5
"I recently bought two of these magazines--mainly because of the price and I wanted to get a few more magazines for my new A-O M1 Carbine. Both mags arrived in mint condition, each in their own plastic-lined (?) paper pouch with identical markings. Interesting thing was that one magazine had a follower that would hold the bolt open when it was empty, while the other one did not. I'm going to order a few more to see if I can get more of the ones with the follower that holds the bolt open."
5.0 5
"Ran 30 rounds through one of these mags with no issues. Worth it."
5.0 5
"Got 2 of these for the used Universal M1 I just bought. Needed minor opening of the rear retention lips with flat nose pliers. Once that was done, they work perfectly. I know that means only 4 stars, but I don't count minor adjustments as a true negative - it could just as easily be caused by my rifle!"
5.0 5
"Good price, well made, recommend!"
1.0 5
"I wish there was a zero bullet rating. Both mags had retaining lugs that were much smaller than all my other mags. I found this out when one fell out on my foot while shooting. I tried in 3 M1s and the same thing. they could be easily pulled out without pressing the mag release. I may have gotten 2 bad ones. One bright note: cheaper than dirt took care of a refund, no questions asked. I will use this company again."
5.0 5
"These cost less than I can get beat-up used magazines for, and they appear to be very well made and finished of good materials.Somebody gave this magazine a negative review because it didn't hold the bolt open when empty. Am I missing something? As far as I recall, carbines don't work that way -- they have a little button you push to hold the bolt open.Anyhow, these work just like GI mags and appear to be as well made at a great price."
5.0 5
"Liked them all, Some had lock back follower, some did not, but all worked with no problems!"
3.0 5
"I did my research before purchasing and found at least one owner of an Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbine who said they worked in his rifle. Unfortunately, they would not lock or secure in mine. Am returning and purchasing A-O manufactured mags."
5.0 5
"I have purchased this product and decided to place a second order. They function flawlessly in my Underwood GI carbine. They are deeply blued. Construction is steel, just like GI magazines. Each comes packaged individually in a sealed plastic lined pouch. These are not junk, aftermarket products that you might expect from an import. The magazine has the added advantage of a \"U\" on the spine, which I like to match my Underwood. The follower is a surprise. About 4 out of 10 come with a lock back follower to stay open on the last round. The others are GI ND ALL THE BOLT TO CLOSE. excellent BUY FOR THE PRICE."
2.0 5
"Just got 2 of these mags in and they don't fit quite right. Have to hit them really hard on the bottom for them to seat and that is with the bolt open or closed, doesn't matter. Compared them to some older 30 round mags I had and it seems the right side lip is a little taller and thicker on the these 15 round mags. I pressed down on them with my thumb and bent it a little and they seat a bit easier now, but still have to whack em pretty hard. Will try to file it down a bit to make the metal a little thinner in hopes that allows it to click into place without needing to hit it so much. The 30 rounders click into place just by pushing them in so these should too. Perhaps they just need a break in period. Maybe I am lucky, but every mag I have ever bought before fits perfectly in their respective guns. Seems wrong that these need to be worked on to fit, but both of these mags need it."
4.0 5
"Using AQA ammo many cases hangs on leading edge of mag in the the 3 and 9 o'clock position, a little file work took care of it."
