"The plastic finger rest/floor plate is brittle and breaks. First time at the range when I used this magazine the plastic broke sending the spring, follower, and ammo flying all over. The original magazine is all stainless steel, now I know why. Glad this was only at the range and not in a stressful situation."

"Purchased this mag, took it to the range and fired one round from the gun and the junk plastic base broke and it would not function after that."

"bought 2 of these mags. and have fired about 40 rounds from each with only one stovepipe.only loaded five rounds in each mag.{don't know about you guys, but can't get six even in my original mag.]for mag to insert smoothly, have to hold slightly to the rear against mag release spring.can see where plastic but plate can be subject to breakage through time or rough use though.all in all i think it's a good buy because of it's rareity and price.[sure beats reloading a mag in a stress situation!]"

"I bought two of the non factory magazines (Mag-041) for my AMT 380 Backup and they are better than the originals. They feed any type of 380 without any problems. My original AMT magazines wouldn't feed Federal Hydo-shock but these do. I've purchased several item from Cheaper Than Dirt and have always received fast service at very affordable prices."

"Mags would not feed in my single action AMT Backup - must be for use with the newer double action AMT Backup. Returned for refund."

"Bought one of these and used it at the range for one day and everything was OK, so I put it in a nylon case & carried it in my pocket as a backup without firing it for a couple of years. The plastic floorplate broke from the \"stress\" of being in my pocket. If you thought the price was too good to be true, you were right! A good mag with a steel floorplate for the AMT Backup costs $30 to $40. What's YOUR life worth?"

"I purchased one to have an extra and it has worked fine. I haven't intentionally dropped it on concrete to see if the finger rest will break. Take care of your equipment and it'll take care of you. This is well worth the price."

"I bought two of these magazines. I fired a 5 round factory clip - no problem. I loaded the non-factory clip with 6 rounds and it would jam every other shot. Had to remove magazine and eject round out bottom. It is difficult to determine what is causing the jamming. They both (Factory and Non-factory) look about the same except plastic bottom on non-factory. Do not recommend these magazines."

"Bought 2 of these magazines and they would not fit into my A.M.T. Back up. They look like my original mag. but you couldn`t even force the clip in, i`ll be returning mine for a refund. I knew the price had to be to good to be true."

"I bought one of these awhile ago for my AMT .380, since I was having trouble with the factory mag that came with the weapon. Just took it to the range last week and it performed well enough. No problems feeding, and it would take 6 rounds as advertised. Sometimes would get a little stubborn when trying to extract the magazine after firing. However, I don't like the European style mag release anyway, so it might be me. I'm buying another one and hope it performs as well as the first. I'm not in love with the plastic finger-rest, but for the price, I am satisfied."

"When I first bought this magazine for my AMT.380 (DAO) I was skeptical because of all the bad reviews it got. Maybe my gun is different from the others but this mag works great in it! I've never had any jams or feeding problems with it and it holds six rounds (instead of just five like the original mags). But the best feature by far is the finger rest! With the finger rest it fits my hand perfectly. Not only has it improved my aim, but I also feel less recoil.Frankly, I was thinking about selling my AMT until I tried this mag out in it. Now I can't part with it!"

"Mag says 6 rounds, but gun will not accept mag. Remove the sixth rd, then it accepts into gun, perfect !!!! Just as the orginal did, even seats into retaining clip better than the original did. Tested each mag, each worked great with std ammo. Ordering two more, these are so hard to find."

"This is a ok mag. my gun didn't have one when purchased. Last round almost always fails to feed(never happens with the two factory mags I have since purchased)but I did need one quick when I bought my pistol so they did ship right away and only took 1 day to arrive."

"Fairly good mag for the obscure AMT Backup .380 pistol. The floorplate on this mag is a double ended sword. It adds increased leverage for any hands bigger than a 12 year old but the added plastic on the bottom makes it slightly more difficult to remove with European/Makarov style mag releases. Also the follower in the picture is black but orange on the real magazines. Not a deal breaker for me, just a heads up."

"These are a good deal for the money. If you load five rounds they perform well. The plastic on the bottom provides a good grip when throwing the gun at the target."

"Bought this gun with one factory mag. saw these and bought three. all of them fit in the gun, fire 1 round then a jam. also had a couple stovepipes when firing the first round. the factory mag works fine every time. these are garbage."

"I had to admit I was worried reading the complaints of the floor plate being brittle, but I had no problems at all with it. It works great. I have put over 100 rounds through it and had no issues at all. Yes, I would like to get one with a stock steel floor plate, but for half the price and the speedy shipping, this will do what I need it to do, and what more could you ask for."
