"Installed nice and tight. Has a low profile so it's nice for options."

"I got this to install on my FAL, figuring I could trim some plastic with an exacto-knife to make it fit. I needed a grinder, 'cuz this material is extremely tough. Incidentally, if I had put it on my AR handguard, as it is designed, it would have fit perfectly with no modification. The only down-side is that, with one slot, not all accessories that claim to be for picatinny rails actually fit well on it, but if you can clamp it on, it ain't going anywhere."

"Note: The screws in this item (SRA) are spaced 5/8\" apart on center. If your handguard has 11/6\" hole spacing, buy the Command Arms Accessories SRB. Same thing, different hole spacing.I bought one of the SRB's to mount a vertical foregrip (ProMag PM007). Both are an excellent combination. The fit is very snug; no play or slop. This rail is the minimal size for the foregrip base and the crosscut is perfectly located for the foregrip set screw. Mounting was easy. Removed the lower handguard and used a screwdriver to pop the heat shield out. (Mounting screws were not long enough to mount through heat shield.) Attached the rail in the 3rd and 4th holes from the rear and slipped heat shield back in. It had no problem fitting over the screwheads, but if you wanted to mount in the 1st or 2nd holes from the rear, and your heat shield is like mine and doesn't have holes there, you would need to drill some material out of the heat shield to fit over the screw heads."
