An exact reproduction of the best bipod ever made for the big M14 rifle. This all steel bipod folds up for carrying and quickly deploys for use. Attaches directly to the gas cylinder and still allows you to use the correct military leather sling. Legs fold and extend between 9" and 13", each leg acts independently to account for uneven terrain. Also fits M1A models and is available in two sizes.

"This is a decent replica of the M2 bipod but assembled backwards (literally). Otherwise it is very sturdy and a good addition to one of the best firearms around!"

"Well, it works better than my bug-out bag for a supported shot. Overall, it's sturdy metal, but the assembly of the bipod is less than snug. Not so much that it is aggrivating, but it could be better quality. Unless you're super-picky, buy this one before you spend $120 at Springfield Armory's site, it will work just as well."

"I got this bi pod about 6 months ago It works great for sighting in the rifle but it puts a lot of weight on the end of the barrel making it more difficult to shoulder fire and carry."

"I bought this because I didn't want to part with the money for the \"real\" thing. You get what you pay for! Cheap Chinese made junk; weak internal springs, metal coated with minimal blue, very poor fit and finish. The only reason I ponied up an extra bullet was because when it's extended and in use, it doesn't wobble and keeps the front end steady.....which is really what you want a bipod for."

"I must be lucky. Mine fit perfectly and is tight. Mine also looks GI - not Chinese. I have used it deer hunting (snow, rain, ice) and it has taken all the abuse (dropped from a tree stand) with no problem. The only problem is the added weight - its heavy"

"Refering to other reviews, I assembled the bipod parts with the exception of the top barrel clamp, set my M14 onto the lower portion, marked the inner and outer edges of the clamp with a pencil, and used electrical tape (or scotch tape for that matter) to wrap around the barrel between the pencil marks. Once fully assembled the clamp will not scratch up the barrel. I am quite happy that it has some \"give\" to it as having a rifle stuck in a vice is not the way to hit your mark while firing. I give the bipod a 90% rating. For minor scratches that may occur use a Sharpie Marker to touch up. They come in many colors."
