"Talk about exemplary customer service. I asked for and got CTD to stock this needed accessorie to complete, for now, my M14 clone setup. This works very dadgum well for me at this price! With variations between M14 clone recivers my older 1975 era 1st Springfield Corp. M1A, it was a very good fit. My new Armscorp reciever needed a few seconds of dremeling to be level with my UTG M14 Tactical Handguard Rails purchased from CTD, but you don't have to be a rocket surgeon to do it. The next brand prices are much higher. The money I saved goes for other gun goodies from CTD."

"I bought this item for my M1As new Sage EBR stock and as described in another comment it rides a little high. For this price still a good deal but at 100 yds I was shooting 6-8 inches high and my scope would not adjust down any farther. Unless you plan for long range shooting (500+ yds) just buy the other mount it will save you the headache."

"I run an M1A with an Aimpoint Comp ML2 on an Ultimak rail and a non-Aimpoint manufactured scope ring that allows it to sit nice and low in the \"scout position.\" I later dropped some serious coinage on the Aimpoint 1X magnifier with QD scope ring (impulse buy, if ever there was one). Well, that thing sits too far up on the Ultimak for any meaningful eye relief, so basically it's a $500 hood-ornament that never gets used (friends freak out over the QD mount though!). So along comes this little gadget and I think \"awesome, now I can finally get my 1X magnifier back closer to my eye and get some real use out of it.\" For $5, how bad could it be? Well unfortunately, the rail sits about 1/8\" higher than the red dot mount and so it's pretty much useless for what I want it for. However, it seems well made and with some Loctite could be the most cost-effective solution ever to a reliable scope mount for this weapon. We all know how much those suckers can run....and the cheap ones are just that. I realize not everyone runs a red dot on their M1A, fewer still with that expensive 1X gadget, but hope this helps the few that do."
