"This is a great lighter. Have been using for over a year. Can go over two weeks with out refilling. Wick didn't last long but can be replaced with Zippo wick. Lighter element pulls out of main body and can be used to light candles, fires, or as an emergency candle. Beats Zippos hands down. And for the price you just can't beat it."

"Great little lighter. Never buy a disposable lighter again! ( save some landfill space) Flints are just common replacement flints (59 cents for 6 ), same as Zippo. Fluid is like $1.69 for a bottle that will last 5 years or better for most people. I'm ordering more for friends that think it's a really cool little lighter....."

"I am very impressed with this lighter. I got it hoping it would scratch the itch I had for a zippo style lighter. It did this and more. For the price it can't be beaten."

"Worth all of $5 , its made of a thinner but strong stainless steel . I knew i should have got 2 of them... the action opens with a fast flick, very easily the coloring in the picture is not correct ,it is straight silver , much better than above but i was gonna sand blast the pale yellow and red off anyway it feels light but pretty strong, this will last a good long time it seems the only slight down side is the corners feel a touch sharp in your pocket but i will lightly hammer the cornersover all very good , get at least 2"

"I have had my lighter for about three weeks now and I am very happy. It turned out to be a better lighter than I expected. The $5 price tag is great but shipping was a little high. This is the type of item you add to a larger purchase that you are already making. I am going to buy several more of these in the future."

"This would make a great small gift. It is easy and cheap to refill, and works smoothly. Seems to be a bit bulky compared to disposable lighters, but is much more nostalgic and stylish. For $5, it's a great deal, I bought two. Another winner from CTD!"

"I purchased this lighter almost 2 years ago, and haven't been able to use it for a few months. The reason being, the wick burnt down on it and I can't find a replacement anywhere. Although there not that expensive so I might just buy another one."

"This is a great deal, glad I bought 2 sturdy dependable and looks cool, cepet the one my wife ran over with her car and that one doesn't work anymore so I ordered 2 more. If you need a lighter this is a good one for under 5 bux can't go wrong.."

"Not only are these lighters small, dependable and stupidly easy to use, everyone wants one. They've got class and, unlike zippos, no one has ever seen one before. A lighter is a silly thing to make a fashion statement with, but hey, at least it serves a function. If your a smoker, this is the lighter to have.I like the spring loaded action to . No knurled wheel to grind your thumb into. Just press back on the hinged lid a bit and it'll flick open. It produces a big shower of sparks every time."

"Bought two of these lighters, one came with red & yellow paint on it and the other was just plain stainless. The color does not matter as long as they keep working good. I am very pleased with them, good quality. I will buy more if i ever wear these out. Good product CTD."

"I collect Zippos so I thought I'd check out this lighter. What a great find! It has become my everyday cigar lighter. I like it so much I've ordered two more just to have on hand or give as gifts. This lighter performs fantastic. If you are going to place an order you should get at least two."

"After reading the reviews I bought three of these. One was a great looking yellow, green, and light blue. The second was light blue, yellow, and silver. The third was all silver. A really cool lighter. Unique, good looking, and good quality. Definitely worth the $5 bucks."

"Been using the lighter for a few weeks now. It came without any colors on it, just plain stainless steel. It lights every time, even in the wind. Since it is made so well and so air tight it holds the fuel for a very long time. Far longer than my old zippo. A must considering the price."

"Great lighters... I bought one with an order and upon using it for a few weeks I decided to pick up 3 more as gifts. Lights everytime and uses standard zippo type fluid and flints. Even has slide adjustment on top to make the flame bigger or smaller for windy days. Give it a shot, it's worth the money."

"I actually came to this site to buy more lighters. Bought two a month ago. Here is what I have to say... If you \"like\" ZIPPOS, YOU WILL LOVE THIS ONE!!! Takes Zippo fluid, Zippo Flint, but MUCH LIGHTER and MUCH BETTER!!! Ok, gotta go buy more ;)"

"well, when i saw this lighter...i remembered my WWII veteran grandpa who had 2 of these lighters a little bit heavier than this one, but...is the same quality as he had and the same mechanical features, and what is the best with this lighters is that they hold the zippo fluid for a loooong time and it will not dry out like the zippo's do if you don't use them , they are awesome and make a awesome gift, i got 10pc"

"If you need more wick get some cotton twine and use that- pull off the bottom, pull out the cotton stuffing, pull new twine in, replace cotton stuffing (cotton balls from the bathroom work fine if the wife doesn't catch you) refill and you're good to go. May burn up a little faster than standard wick but at a buck for fifty yards of the stuff who cares? Just be sure it's not nylon- that will melt and make an awful mess."

"Not a bad little lighter for the money. It's cheaper than a Zippo and has several design features that are superior to a Zippo, such as a more efficient container for the lighter fluid and the ability to adjust the flame. However, I have say that I prefer the Zippo simply because it's more dependable. The Zippo lights 99% of the time, usually on the 2nd flick, whereas this lighter will either light on the 2nd time or the 6th."

"These are some of the best lighters I have ever used. They are far superior to Zippos. I stand by the Zippo name because of the simplicity and function but these lighters are much more fuel efficient, easily adjustable, and the flints are super easy to replace. They are very light but well made, I had to order plenty of them for friends who loved mine. I will be ordering more."

"I ordered this 12/19. I got it today (12/22.) After filling and priming it, I have now been using it. Excellent little lighter! Very lightweight and easy to fill and use. Also, getting it within 3 days of ordering it makes CTD almost as dependable as Santa Claus."

"I have had Zippos and always they either leaked or the hinge broke and it cost more to fix than replace, so I checked here at CTD and found this lighter. When I read the reviews and some said \"it just works\" that was enough for me to buy one to try. If you got a Zippo or not this will replace it and not cost an arm or a leg to buy and use. Also if you have a few old Bics laying around, gut them for the flint, it works very well in this lighter."

"This is a great lighter! doesn't leak like a zippo, easy to change parts (unlike a zippo), and a lot cheaper than a zippo! OH and CTD just says its an Austrian military style lighter, but it's real name is the IMCO Triplex super, so don't think this is a bimbo off-brand piece-of-junk. Thanks CTD for this great purchase!"

"I bought 2 of these lighters, had never seen one or used one before. I came close to writing a review saying buy 5 bics and save some money. My bad, all you have to do is make sure when you first get them is to purely saturate the fiber filling, then let it sit for a while, then repeat. If you buy this lighter your smart not to overdo it and put it in your pocket. As far as the wick, buy a wick for an oil lamp, take a partial strand from it and that will serve well. Just want to thank CTD, so far our relationship has been great, Real good people."

"I'm not a smoker but I've owned lighters before. I wanted something for my \"Bug Out Bag\" and I'm glad I bought this one. It's all stainless steel, easy to maintain and airtight. It burns common fuels, can use multi materials for the wick, and has never failed to lite, not once! The only thing I haven't figured out yet is were the flint ever to go out. :-)This is truly made from Austrian and is stamped so on the bottom. For the money, you can have one for every \"B.O.B.\"Kit you own!"

"I have owned many zippo and similar style lighters over the years. The main problem I have had is the loss of fuel. These seem to hold fluid much much longer and light just as well or probably better in this southern tornado wind. Everyone bumming this guy at smoke break at work. Keeping one of these in my coat pocket at all times. You really can't beat the present price of this either."

"This is a great little lighter. Well worth the money. I would pay twice as much for it. I like the removable bullet-shaped fluid cartridge which can be removed while still lit and serve as a candle. The flint is extremely easy to replace (drop-in). The fluid does not leak! I purchased three of these lighters. It will make a great little Christmas gift."

"Got it, like it a lot, neat to have in your bug out kit. It will run on kerosene and not only run but run very well, nice to know. Zippo fluid might not always be handy but other fuels will work just as well just play with the air intake mine is lighting on the first try every time on kerosene !!!"

"Very Good value, well made and easy to fill. I bought two of these based on prior reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Much more weatherproof than my Zippos. Took off 1 bullet because it's not exactly a light on every strike, but what lighter is? Want a good lighter at a good price, buy it!! I'm ordering 4 more!"

"I bought one of these based on the high reviews and low cost. I am not disappointed. I like the design and it seems to function flawlessly. All parts are easy to get to and clean/maintain. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is the thickness of the stamped metal. This lighter is no where near the quality or rigidity of a Zippo. I do however find it a great value for the price. This is a very cleaver design. I plan on getting a couple more for the car survival kit and my bug out bags."

"Sweet little lighter, price was great, at first it felt like a piece of junk but it quickly proved me wrong. It lights every time, doesn't leak at all. some1 on a earlier post even said it runs off of kerosene, but i haven't tried that yet. Very happy with my purchase :)"

"Bought the lighter after reading the reviews..It caught my eye in the catalog so I decided to check it out online and started reading the reviews... They sold me, so I bought a couple.Easy enough to fuel... But the flint replacement was a puzzle. Here is a link to help any who may be having trouble with that..http://berserkersgearpage.blogspot.com/2007/08/imco-triplex-super-lighter-review.htmlBasically you depress the spring loaded button on the bottom and the guts pivot out away from the flat square section that has the pivot rivet for the striker cap.Its a great lighter. Period.Looks good, works flawlessly and if it holds fluid the way everyone says. well you cant ask for more."

"I bought a few of these to try them out. I have been using lots of different fuels from lighter fluid to gelled hand sanitizer, naphtha to diesel fuel. all will end up lighting after fooling around with the air intake for a while (the gelled sanitizer needs to be warmed up a little first)."

"This is a great lighter! Didn't believe the kerosene bit... but I have mine running on it. Had to let it soak a while and hit it again, lit up first try. Had a Zippo leak in my pocket before, this one seems pretty tight, ordered two more. You definatley won't be disappointed!"

"I picked up two of these lighters primrily because of the fact that you could remove the flame from the rest of the frame and light items in tight spaces...such as lanterns and gas ovens. After receiving them I took one out and played with it. I noticed that I needed to give it a work out in order to make the flame chamber easier to move in and out of the frame carrier. I gave it 5 bullets because its exactly what I was looking for with a good price. CTD always does great shipping even if you don't select the overnight shipping option. Overall I like this lighter and it has both advantages and disadvantages over my zippo but it definitely has a place in bag of goodies. I decided to keep the second one on my shelf for everyday use."

"Good lighter for the money. Used it for a week now and had no problems so far. It seems like the little lighter will last. The little metal piece that functions as a wind block is useless and just fell off but it is unneeded in my opinion."

"Just received 2 of these lighters. Both new and great condition, great price. Interesting design. I'm a Zippo collector. Knowing it would work well with lighter fluid, I put in Coleman \"Premium Blend Fuel,\" red bottle; $5.00 for 32 oz. Cheaper than lighter fluid. It runs great. One strike light. Over the next months, I will try several types of fuel. Great buy, fun lighter. Thank you, CTD!"

"I ordered four of these, because of the price, and they are awesome, light weight, and seem pretty durable. I'm going to be carrying these over my Zippo from now on. I'm ordering six more because they make good gifts to friends. Definitely recommend getting more than five. CTD is the cheapest I've found them."

"The two lighters I received were not the same as the one in the photos. The one in the photos is an IMCO Super Triplex 6700. The lighters I received were IMCO Junior 6600. While the two models are very similar, there are two distinct differences. The 6600 does not have the flame adjuster and flint wheel cover that are present in the 6700. I already own a 6700 and use it as my main lighter. I was hoping to get a back up in case the one I have gets lost or destroyed. I plan on giving the second one as a gift. The 6600 will do its job, but it's not as refined as the 6700. Considering the price I paid, it's not that bad. If I had intend to order the 6600, I might have given it a 4 bullet review. Based on the experience, I had to give it 3 bullets."

"As Mill_Burray said, the lighter I received is a different, lesser model than the one in the picture. I elected to keep it, since the price was low. I did buy and receive the lighter as pictured a few years back. Maybe the CTD buyer made a mistake. So 3 instead of 4 bullets."

"This lighter is awesome and unique. it worked fine for me for about three months, but then one day i went to use it and it made a grinding noise and locked up. I have no clue what went wrong with it. Perhaps I just got the lemon of the bunch..."
