"Bought this stock for my son's reenacting rifle...Received stock today, and I must admit, the stock came in much worse condition than I expected. The stock overall was not too bad though, but there was a large portion on the left side of the stock that was grinded off. I called customer service, and they said they do this to all of the stocks. It's not listed in the description! They gave me a refund and are sending me a return shipping label."

"I Got mine today I was expecting a beater, but it's actually in rather good condition. There ISN'T a gouge on the left side of mine (as there IS in the picture above.) A little steel wool and tung oil and she should clean up nice. I'm pleased."

"Wow! This is a great deal for a great stock. Maybe I got lucky but mine had very few if any dents and the wood was very sound. i cant wait to clean it up with a lil steel wool and some tung oil! This looks much beter than the picture. i wish that they had added the handguards though."

"My stock arrived in good condition with no grinding marks as shown in the picture. The \"metal parts\" that are included with the stock are really just the butt plate, the spring for the barrel band, and one piece at the back of the action. Where do I get the top of the handguard? The quality and value are good, but I would have liked more parts."

"stock came with a standard wood screw on the butt plate, no biggie. the metal was in good shape and allowed drop in with out removing anything from my broken stock. Very nice looking original WW2 stock, beautiful wood with normal pits and dings. It is Standard Products. the reason for only 3 stars is because they ground off the area shown in the photo. It should be a Capitol crime punishable by death to destroy a piece of history such as this."

"Very nice stock it was marked SA assuming this stands for Springfield Armory, was not sure of the condition it would be in after reading other reviews. I was well pleased and will buy another."

"I bought this planning to sand and refinish it. The condition was so much better than my current stock, that I kept this one, and refinished the one I already had. I think I've found myself a new hobby in stock refinishing. Cheap as hell and alot of fun. You guys are great to do business with."

"I just received the stock today from Fed Ex and was eager to see what kind of shape the stock was in. I can honestly say that I am very pleased. The stock was in very good shape with the exception of a minor chip in the wood near the butt plate where the sling attaches. The color of the wood was a very nice, rich dark brown with a nice grain showing, and after seeing it, I had to scrap my original idea of refinishing. It's great as it is. As for the grinding mark on the stock, mine had none at all. I have an Iver Johnson that was given to me by a friend and after just a small bit of light sanding on the rear mating surfaces, the receiver mounted right in and looks great. After seeing some of the prices for replacement stocks on the net, I doubt you could go wrong buying one of these."

"I ordered this stock on Friday and received it on Tuesday. The stock I received is awesome. It was a potbelly M2 type, with great wood and no paint or grind marks. The only imperfection was a small chip (.5\") near the heal of the grip. Fit much better than the repaired stock my rifle originally had! Best few bucks I've ever spent!"
