Hornady Superformance ammunition is transcends convention and achieves the highest performance of any ammunitinon on the market today with cutting edge technological advancement in ammunition design. By using ultra progressive propellants, your favorite SST or GMX bullets achieve levels of performance that are simply unattainable with conventional propellants. In the past, shooters have used a brute force approach of using large charge weights of a slow burning powder in a larger cartridge case which ultimately this leads to more recoil and muzzle blast. The Superformance solution is an elegant approach that utilizes specialized powders at NORMAL charge weights. This in turn imparts ALL useable energy to the bullet reducing the rocket nozzle effect at the muzzle while still increasing velocity! Superformance ammunition is 100 to 200 fps FASTER than any conventional ammunition on the market today, and achieves this performance in EVERY gun, WITHOUT increases in felt recoil, muzzle blast, temperature sensitivity, fouling or loss of accuracy. Superformance is safe to use in ALL firearms, including semi-autos, lever gun and pump actions. Hornady Superformance increases rifle performance with no increases in barrel wear and felt recoil along with superior temperature stability.

"I have a new Rem 700 VTR in .308, and after grouping and 25/50 yard zeroing with Hornady steel match, I dialed my scope out to 100 yard (using Nikon spot on software) and laid eight 150g SST rounds all a tad low of center. Was told to hit a bowling pin at 200 yards and accidentally shot the 300 yard pin instead. I put four more rounds in that 300 yard pin. This is my first time owning and operating a scoped weapon. I tried Federal loaded with Barnes 150 Triple Shocks and was not happy at 100 yards. the SST seemed perfect for my rifle. I didn't notice much, if any, extra recoil vs the steel match. I did notice that the Superformance was louder, but that really doesn't matter, for if you have a 700 VTR in .308, you will notice that with the muzzle brake, it is a very loud weapon."
