"First I thought \"I have a snake, Why do I need a viper?\". When I tried it I found it to work slightly better and smoother than the snake, the \"snake\" is now put away. It is a little smaller but works a little better."

"I use this to \"finish\" my cleaning only because I don't want wash out the boresnake after every use. It is the easiest, most efficient way to clean your bore. I run a soaked patch through a few times and let it sit about 5 minutes, then a few dry patches to get most of the gunk out. Last I put a few drops of oil on the boresnake and pull it through 4 times. I've tested the bore by running a solvent soaked patch through again and got no fouling."

"Doesn't seem that much different than the regular Bore snake. I'll pass on the Viper for my next one.I tried tugging on the brass pull and it won't come off. Seems like if they had a manufacturing problem with it, they must have fixed it."
