OverMolded technology has been applied to the AR-15, producing the ultimate grip and handguard combination. Specially designed to retain the original lines of the AR-15, it is a comfortable and lightweight rubber grip with finger grooves and palm swells. The handguard is a unique two piece, free floating rubber OverMolded aluminum tube that eliminates handguard pressure on your barrel and allows for maximum accuracy. It also provides a comfortable, non-slip grasp that also insulates your hand during rapid fire.
Gunsmithing required.
Fits carbine length gas systems. Black.

"Just got this in, and as always hogue makes a rock solid grip for just about any gun you have. But.... the write up doesn't tell you about how crappy it is to put the handguard on. You have to actually remove the gas block and gas tube and bend it to accept the new grip. It comes with instructions and everything but i am not a gunsmith so it would have been nice to know this before hand."

"I bought this under the assumption that it was a direct drop in, not so. I had no means of torqueing it on as the barrel nut needs a strap wrench, and the gas tube holes are difficult to align properly. The directions are lacking as to the use of lok-tite or lube. Do not get the carbine version unless you like to gamble."

"It\uFFFDs a nice Hogue setup, feels real good, but the install is something else. Your stock gas tube will not work; you need to adjust some bends in it to get it to work. I muscled some bends in the thing with some pliers that closely approximated the layout print that was included. The gas tube entered the receiver off center a fraction and, after firing a few mags, the bolt's carrier key slammed into the tube and the gun jammed. Spent $20 on a new gas tube from Hogue that's made for this forearm and installed for the fix."
