"Just received the holster today, earlier than what was estimated by Fed-Ex. Looks well built and leather looks good. The only thing is that it takes a little breaking in. Im using the bag it comes in to wrap the 1911 and push it into the holster which does take a bit of convincing. The gap in the clip is perfect to put your belt loop through and adds even more security when the belt is worn, this thing isnt going anywhere! This is my first holster and I couldnt be happier!"

"I just received my holster in the mail, tried it on with the pistol and it fits great. The lether is a little stiff and can use some break-in but other than that the holster looks great and fits comfortably hidden inside the waistband."

"I got one for my FM HiPower and it is working pretty good. Was looking for an affordable tuckable IWB and ran across this. Does need a little breakin though. By the way, a HiPower will sometimes work in a 1911 holster."

"If you have a 1911 for concealed carry you will appreciate this holster. It holds the weapon close and stays where you put it.Not as soft as Uncle Mikes sidekick #5 but I think my carry holster should be more comforting than comfortable.Great product."

"It took me about three days to brake this holster in, but once it was it is now my holster of choice. The weapon isn't going anywhere in this holster. It also fits and conceals perfectly. I diffently recomend this holster for a 1911."

"I bought this for a 1911 Springfield 5\". I also bought a belt slide made by El Paso from CTD for the same pistol (you can't have too many holsters). I don't know what else you would require in a holster. Both of these are good condition 1 carry holsters. I read the other reviews prior to ordering. I knew the leather would be stiff. It usually is on a new, full length holster. I read in another review about taking a hammer handle and pushing it into the holster to loosen it up. I did this and it works great.I can still take the holster with the 1911 in it and turn it upside down and it will stay in the holster.Tight enough to stay put but loose enough to easily draw. It's easy to conceal (hard to do with a full size 1911) and rides a little higher behind the kidney than you would think. I can put on a jacket and you can't see anything. The fact that it rides high means it's easy to sit down with the holster in your waist. The clip slides down over the waist of your pants while the clip grips your belt top and bottom. It ain't pulling out of your pants boys. You'll like this holster and for the money it's a good value.I would recommend this to you."

"I just ordered this holster, and it came in 4 days after ordering. It looks good, it fits my Rock Island great, and it holds great in the waste band when drawing. It didnt take too long to break it in. Though, I believe that somewhere down the road, the leather will get well worn in and probably begin collapsing. Still a great holster for the money, and will worth great for the occasional carrier."

"Excellent quality and cool; fit perfectly and would have been perfect but for the fact that a full 5\" GI 45 is just too big to wear inside of the pants on the hip; found out the hard way. Holster is probably best in winter during hunting season when larger pants are worn with suspenders."

"I bought this holster about a month ago and it has proven to be a very well made holster. It was a little tight at first but after grabbing it at flexing the leather around some to soften it up it is perfect. My one problem is that I bought a right hand holster to wear in the S.O.B and I need a left handed one so I can reach the gun behind my back with my right hand. So it looks like I'll have two which is fine with me."

"Is it as good as some of the Galco and other-brand IWB holsters? Not quite. But it's a great holster nonetheless, and you won't beat that price. I'll be honest: I wasn't expecting much from a 30 dollar holster, but it's held up. It has leather covering the otherwise-painful thumb safety and it fits the 1911 snugly. Only problem is some 1911's with target sights don't fit as well. You won't beat it in bang-for-buck!"

"i've been using this holster for the past week or so and I must say it's not bad. There are 3 little quirks you should be aware of:1 the leather was molded without the thumb safety in the up (safe) position. I carry cocked and locked and this causes the leather to be pushed out a bit into my side. Not a big deal but worth noting. It will most likely mold itself to the proper position over time.2 It was not molded for extended thumb safeties. Luckily my carry 1911 doesn't have any. I tried it on a buddies gun with extended safeties and found it to be fairly uncomfortable. 3 the belt loops don't hold onto my belts very well. I have tried 2 different belts but the same thing happens. The top \"tab\" slides under the belt and the holster sags down on my pants a bit.Overall for the price you really can't beat it though."

"I purchased this holster about a year ago and I was impressed with the quality for the price. But after a year of use the clips that keep your holster from coming out with the gun when pulled broke off. Lesson learned: buy a holster with either a metal clip or better yet leather loops."

"Excellent IWB holster for any basic 1911 style pistol. Simple design and fit flawlessly with my Springfield Armory G.I."

"I received the holster earlier today and find it to appear well constructed. I expect to find it to be quite durable and a pleasure to wear.Based on other reviews I have read, the only major question to answer has to do with the strength of the hooks, although it may be a mute point in that the individual who actually had the problem may not have treated it with the respect due any good piece of work and may have abused it.Once I got it in my hands, here is what I did with/to it:I had a can of liquid silicone spray and sprayed the inside of the holster with enough of a coat to soak the leather. I did a single ply of a plastic bag and inserted my Para Ordnance in the holster, massaging the leather while it was still soaked with silicone for a good form fit. I also used a heat gun to heat the leather in the area of the thumb safety that some complained as having been molded in the wrong position (Down or Off) resulting it that area (the area of the extended slide release and thumb safety) becoming a good form fit. I broke the holster in more at that point and ended up with a snug fitting holster that when considering this is a IWB holster, should have no retention issues even during fairly active movements. My final action was to spray the entire holster with a Teflon wax based item that smoothed the draw even more, as well as really bringing the outside leather to a nice sheen when I wiped it down. The only thing I would like to see different is a raked mount instead of the vertical it has.OUTSTANDING HOLSTER AT A GREAT COST !!!!!"
