"Ok, it's a Hipoint, I get it. For the price it's a single stack 9mm with a lifetime warranty. Here's my gripe: when you see compact and single stack in the description what are you expecting, something small? I was expecting a cheap \"pocket gun\". What I got was not. This thing is huge and heavy. It's almost just as big as my full size TP9 and actually bigger than my compact XD40. I checked the part number twice after receiving it to make sure I actually got the right pistol. The parts fit and finish are fine, it operates fine. It's just NOT compact in the sense of a CCW. I wish there had been a review before I ordered."

"I have no complaints for the money spent. The day I got the gun from my FFL, my buddy brought his new Glock 23 over to play with so we were switching guns back and forth. He was impressed with how accurate the hi point was right out of the box compared to his Glock. I have had no issues with the gun jamming at all. I have had no problems with cycling either. A common fix on the earlier hi-points was to \"polish the feed ramp\" as they were coated with paint or similar at the factory. Mine came \"polished\" already so I'm assuming this is an issue hi point has fixed. Sure, the gun is a little heavy, and may not be the prettiest, but it also isn't nearly as expensive as some of the lighter, smaller, prettier handguns out. Bottom line, Its a great gun at a great price point!"

"I purchased the High Point 916, because of the price, so when I went to the range if a friend was with me he/she would have something to shoot. I was impressed with the weight of the weapon, it was pretty accurate out of the box, only problem I did have was the magazine that came with the weapon kept miss feeding and jamming, I had already purchased additional magazines so that one was discarded, one other thing the slide is a bit hard to work, a woman could have a little trouble with that. I would tell anyone that the High Point Firearms is a good product, I also own the 40 cal carbine. For the price of these firearms there really is no downside."

"This is the third Hi point firearm I have bought. I have no complaints from them. Yes some may find them ugly, yes it is larger than most compact handguns. I have large hands I need a long handled carry gun. The big names, Glock, Sig, S&W are just too small for me. I own the .40 pistol the 995 carbine and the 4595 carbine. I have had no issues with any of them. I was told that Hi Point redesigned them in 2011. So far no issues with them. If you are looking for a great beginner gun, or a decent priced back up. I would seriously recommend Hi point."

"I received this gun at my FFL in 3 days. I took it straight out and put 50 rounds through it. Not a single issue. I am very impressed with this gun."

"Was not sure what to expect for such a low price. I have taken several people to get range and they all say this is the favorite of all my guns. Comfortable, accurate and so far 100% reliable. Thinking of buying another."

"This weapon is cheap and heavy but performs very well. I shot it in all types of weather and had no problems. Would give it 5 but the size is kinda large plus field stripping and cleaning isn't easy because of retaining pin need a punch to knock it out to break weapon down. This is the dependable AK version of a pistol. Shoots straight and true from box to range. Fast delivery from CTD."
